I'm looking for a server host provider that is budget friendly and also has all the essentials security measures and tools to run a server. A host with the following features:

Good DDoS Protection
Good Customer service
An easy to navigate admin panel
Should be able to handle 70+ players

The hosts I know of and have used in the past are Streamline Servers and Evolution Host. Both are pretty decent, I'm just trying to see if there a better option out there.

To my knowledge, evolution host has had me as a customer for a long time, and it's because they never fail to quickly respond to tickets or go the extra mile for you as a customer. Their ddos protection is very good too.

the best thing to do is getting a dedicated box so you can host everything if your after budget friendly

personally I use hetzner

# drowsy juniper personally I use hetzner

Hetzner is a very cost-efficient provider, but their support is slow(er) and they do not offer any good DDoS protection as was a requirement. Usually you should not need to contact support for many inquiries, tho

you can avoid half of the ddos if you know what your doing man

I am talking Layer 3, not SA-MP Query attacks

you can turn off ICMP .... still and ddos won't be an issue

It used to be pretty much instant up until a month or two ago, then I noticed this same problem when stopping/starting the server. They must've changed something that has caused this issue. The server auto restarts instantly after a crash (or rcon exit), but when starting it by the control panel it seems very slow at starting these days. Maybe contact them about it and tell them that others are experiencing the same issue.

I did email them about it, this was their response:

It looks like you might be accessing the control panel via the Singapore web servers. We suspect that the issue could be related to ongoing increased latency on the network backbone between Europe and the Asia/Pacific regions, which may explain the issue since the server is located in Frankfurt, Germany. Our upstream provider is working in the issue at the moment and you should notice an improvement once this has been resolved.

As a temporary workaround, you can access the EU web servers by accessing the website using any VPN near to France if you have this available.
Please let us know if we can provide any further assistance, we're happy to help.

Because right now, it takes at least a minute for the server to start after you press the button on the control panel.
