A bit ago in my life, maybe a few months ago, I decided I wanted to use my free time a lot differently instead of wasting my life away watching YouTube & playing games, so I got creative. I started learning FL Studio & started grinding it out & learning it on my own. These are some of the results of that, which came from about a month or two of just making songs on my own. Some of these try to tell a story of emotions I felt, others were simply just me playing around and learning. Enjoy 😌

Okay so... I've been trying to get back into music making since I really haven't done it in like... several months tbh. I wanted to jump in with my roots and try to make a phonk song, and it started out that way, but it quickly turned into this like breakcore sounding song?
I wanted it to have this oppressive atmosphere and dark sound, inspired by artists like sewerslvt, but I had a really hard time getting that. I'm not sure I really achieved that, and I don't think I can call this done by any means since I just started working on this for a few hours, but I think putting it out there is how I grow and get better 😌

You suck|| is what I would say, but I can't lie. It's been really cool to watch your music skills develop and change over time, I honestly look up to you in that manner considering the dedication and understanding it can take to get this far to begin with. As for the song itself it's very unique compared to others you've shared and that's not a bad thing, it's always great to reach out and try new formats and styles! The breaks between the music and the "background story" are pretty seamless, it doesn't feel like it flows completely without being noticed but I'm sure you'll figure out a way to make it feel much more natural. I do really like the addition of the "background story" though, it makes the music feel more alive and engaging, sorta what you'd find in a fast paced shooter game. The music is all it needs to be; fast paced, high energy, and super energetic. I like it. Nicely done, Drew. Looking forward to seeing your progress as time goes on||

honestly I really just got into this as a way to be a more creative person but music is something I've always had a special place for. There's something really cool about spending hours pouring focus into this one task & then coming out to show that thing to other people & it actually having some kind of emotional impact on them.
Ty for the kind words! I think I always try to have some kind of "story" in my music, hopefully I'll get better at portraying those ideas or even be able to deliver the story just through music one day

Making story through music is honestly a great approach on how will you put in your work. I know some people in and out usually puts in with each having definitions and meanings to each, whether in order of experience and thoughts in minds.
And also, spending hours on making something beautiful and wholesome gets a huge impact than something totally rushed with no concepts being thought of.
But yeah, keep up the great work!

"Life was never truly dark" is also super nice! I can feel the emotion in that one, which I think is what really makes music... well, music.

Yes, I put a lot of personal things into the songs. e.g. “Looking back at blurred memories” is supposed to express that memories fade with time, and if you don't forget them they become blurred from time to time. I'm still working on improving, but the tracks are now available on Rythm and other platforms. Thanks again for the great feedback, I really appreciated it!

The chorus is pretty cool - but this is the rap song that I wasn’t so big on. It works - it’s not junk at all - and you really have a fresh sound/groove going on - but - and it’s just my opinion - but I don’t like the rap parts.
