SoundCloud most likely has a lot of music that won't be available on Rythm since SoundCloud releases are super indie and a lot don't go through any distributor, so not sure if we'll prioritize this or not, but I can def pass the feedback along to the team.

You could try closing and relaunching the app.

They could also try clearing their cache or re-downloading the app if they're willing to go that far (Settings > Apps > Discord > Storage > Clear Cache).

The Rythm bot is not required to play music anymore, seems most google tutorials aren't up to date on that.
Instead try joining a voice channel, click the icon (it appears near the disconnect from call button), and find/select Rythm from the menu that pops up. This will start the new Rythm activity.

However, if you prefer commands you are still able to control Rythm using the bot with / commands, these commands will show up by typing / into the send bar.

Our Licensing team is working hard to increase the size of our song library

But licensing music from distributors and labels takes time

Right the new permission system works as follows:

1. The owner of a room has full control that a host used to have. They can queue music accept music suggestions, ban people from the room, delete messages in chat, and edit the session title and settings. They can also assign host to trusted members in the room.
2. Hosts are able to queue music, ban members, accept suggestions, and moderate chat. They CANNOT edit the session title or the room settings. Also, they cannot ban fellow hosts.
3. Normal members in the room can only queue music, assuming the room setting is set to host control only, which it is by default. If it is set to everyone, they can also queue music and edit the queue.

Hi there! I believe you may have added Rythm to your profile instead of your server if you're having troubles kicking it.

To remove Rythm's slash commands from your account please open your settings on discord and find the "Authorized Apps" section, from there scroll until you find Rythm and deauthorize the app.

Just as a heads up Rythm no longer responds to traditional commands like !play, instead Rythm is now an integrated activity within Discord! You can launch the new Rythm by joining any voice channel, clicking the icon (not the one if the chat bar if this is your first time), and selecting Rythm from the menu!

You can also control Rythm using / commands by adding it to your profile or server. You can do so by opening @dry iris's profile, selecting "add app", then choosing your server or profile! Feel free to give them a try in #commands

Hey there! Super sorry for the late reply. You can navigate to your playlist using the library tab, where there will be a few buttons you can use to add a playlist to the queue. These are located at the top right of the playlist when you're looking at it! I'll attach a screenshot of the buttons. On smaller screens, these buttons may not be available as there isn't enough screen space to display them. This is an issue we're actively working on right now, as we're rewriting the visual portions of Rythm to scale a lot better with smaller resolutions.

You can launch Rythm in your server by joining a voice channel, clicking the icon that appears near the leave call button, then selecting Rythm from the menu that pops up.

Yeah that's understandable, we've run into a bunch of roadblocks on the way that have massively delayed development on that front. Hello, I'm so sorry for the delay!

Please join a voice channel in your server and click the button that appears near the leave call button, this will open the Discord Activity Menu.

From there please scroll down until you find Rythm and select it, this will launch Rythm as an activity within the voice channel, others will be able to join it as well!
You're also able to use the Rythm bot to control the activity, however the bot itself isn't the one playing music.

Inviting people is just from the invite link, however, all people who launch the activity from the same voice channel will end up in the same room provided you haven't started a new one (So, the session name will be the voice channel name, not something like "Listening Room")

You can however also join sessions through someone's profile

Hi! Great question. Rythm serves tracks are two qualities right now, High & HD. High is ~96kbps while HD is ~256kbps, when available. HD is also only available to our premium subscribers, and you can turn it on in your settings. Some tracks may not have HD versions available and will default to High when that happens, just as a note. Quality is something we're interested in, so we'll continue to look at improving track quality for our users! Let me know if that answers everything you were wondering

Yo! You can do this in a couple different ways.

Option 1:

• Restrict the "Use Application Commands" permission on the channel for your users. This will block all commands however, including right click context commands.

Option 2:

• In your server settings, go to the Integrations tab and find Rythm. There, you can restrict just Rythm commands to specific channels.

One thing to keep in mind is that Rythm allows users to add the slash commands to their account. If you'd like to block these as well, you'll need to block the "Use External Applications" permission.

Free users can add 20 songs overall to a queue before premium is required. Premium users can add unlimited songs with no restrictions.

Songs can be looped by clicking on the session name within the activity, selecting advanced options, then choosing loop mode.

I'm sorry it's a little hard to navigate right now, and we don't have any documentation at this time. However I can promise that changes and improvement are in the works

Howdy! By Rythm Core, I'm assuming you mean you've added @dry iris to your server & you're listening through the activity. Rythm doesn't support bot playback right now, but it is something we're looking to support soon. We've got a live experiment for this via @tropic hound you can check out in this server only!

For activity playback, every user must be inside the activity to hear the music. Have all users in the voice channel join the activity & they'll be able to listen. Hope this helps! 🙏

Was this a long time ago? Rythm used to play music through the bot a few years ago, but had to stop due to a notice issued to us from YouTube. We went through a big effort to license music officially through labels & distributors, which ultimately culminated in us releasing a Discord Activity with some enhanced features from the bot.

We've got a lot planned right now! Bot playback, a web app, mobile app, and desktop app are all avenues we're working on currently

Hey there! When you tested, was the same song used? Songs have different qualities, some tracks were just never made in a higher quality so we can't play them in a high quality, in which they'll fall back to a lower one

Bluetooth headphones will definitely mess with the audio - make sure your input & output devices are selected properly in Discord. Sometimes these get messed up and they can severely degrade audio quality

To disable hardware acceleration, head into your Discord Settings > Advanced > Hardware Acceleration

The only way to interface with the Rythm bot currently is by slash command, however the commands are purely there to control the activity. You can launch the activity & listen to music without using any commands!
