Hello!
Hackmud has a problem.

There are a lot of cool scripts that exist but no one knows that they exist
When looking in sectors, half scripts are "public but private"
Players don't advertise their scripts that often
To solve this problem I am making cake.index! A platform where everyone can share and serach for scripts!
You upload a script (not necessarily yours), give it a description, and now it is in the index forever!

As of now you can earn rewards by using this script. Upload some cool stuff and get GC!
Have fun everyone and let me know what you think. I want to make something that people will use for a long time.

Does it only show scripts people upload? Or will it show all scripts, and mark unknown ones as unknown?

It only shows the ones that people upload. Uploading every single script would defeat the purpose. Most scripts are "public but private". I may one day go through all the scripts in the mud, scan then one by one and write a description. Sounds like that would be fun to do on a stream

There's nothing there yet. Just a view counter that gets incremented if the context.calling_script matches any of the scripts in the index.

For anyone that wants to uploads a non-FULLSEC script, don't. There are no safe guards implemented.
