#Not being able to build districts on anomalies makes you feel bad about finding the anomaly.

In EL1 it was always satisfying to find a cluster of anomalies and settle your city right in between all of them to get that early boost to a city's FIDS. In EL2 more often than not I see anomalies and immediately think of the pain its going to be to plan the city around them after settling. Sometimes depending on the position, they will block off a whole section of the region that you could have otherwise exaneded into easily.

How is EL1 any different? In both games you can't build on anomalies (Except via the Abbey of the Anomalies from ELC), making them hard to build around. I do agree that there should be some district that can be placed in anomalies, even if only for the purpose of leveling other districts.

Oh I remember now. You can build on top of anomalies but they turn into regular tiles

They still are considered anomalies and retain their yields (sorry, I was too lazy to switch to English).

It seems clear to me that it should be possible to build a district on an anomaly. Otherwise, it means that anomalies are good for starting a game, but then become negative by preventing the transition to a level 2 city center (for example).

Creating this frustration is fine, but it has to add something to the gameplay. I don't see how discouraging people from settling near an anomaly adds anything to the gameplay.

Game sort of tries to compensate for it by giving more output to adjacent labs, but I'm not sure if that's worth it in mid-to-late-game.

In my experience the best thing to do with a city I plan to build all the way around(I don’t around ministries since they can’t be leveled), you settle not on a anomaly but just outside of it. You can still build a few labs for adjacency and then add a single foundation to the city to pick up the anomaly too without blocking the way for building

Sure you can plan around them, but i think that kind of proves my point that the anomalies are more obstacles to your city rather than integral parts of it. Level 2 districts often wind up putting out more than any individual anomaly making the anomalies most useful in the early game. Much like EL1 FIDS output in EL2 snowballs from the beginning of the game making a spot with 2-3 anomalies in settle range very tempting if it wasn’t for the fact that it guarantees you will never raise your city center or any of the districts around it to level 2
