#Necrophages evolve into nest / attach city costs scaling

Costs to evolve burrows into nests seem to scale exponentially. This works fine for other factions where you can have multiple cities, for Necrophages as everything counts for the capital it means costs rising into the hundreds of thousands.
Meanwhile, attaching costs 0, then far later 1, and again far later 2 influence. And seizing citadels grants a free nest...
Concretely in my Necrophage games so far, at some point it's not even possible to evolve into nests and take territories normally, on the contrary I've just rushing any citadel on the map and paying 2 influence to add to capital.
Example in current game:
-gaining 1.4k influence per turn
-evolve into nest costs 277k influence...
I don't know if this pattern is on purpose, to limit Necrophages expansion, or if it's just the consequence of having same algorithm for city/camp costs scaling for all factions.
My impression is it forces a bit the citadels race (as a side effect, by turn 104 I had the citadels quota for exploration victory on huge map, which I find too fast for a "endless" difficulty).

This has been fixed in the beta branch already, so don't worry
Try changing to the beta if you want to try out how it works now

oh didn't know it was a bug

#

thanks

It wasn't a bug, just kind of an unintended design choice

#

Regardless, the formula has changed now
It's more expensive at the beginning, but the cost caps out at 1.5k

I guess next games this week end will be on beta then 🙂

#

reached 482k right now, can't claim last wonder due to that 😄

😄

Fun fact: if you get 33 territories the cost overflows past 2.4mil and goes back to 0

Making every nest free

well reached 27, 6 to go

#

no more fortresses left though, I guess I won't be that patient

Just a few more lol

no achievement for nesting the full map? 🙂

Nope, just an overheating pc

anyway that still was a pleasant necrophage experience
