Does the greater shadow death have to be a morning star
Skeleton Key
This one of those x/day unlock any box keys?
Is that list comprehensive? And any multiples of the same thing (doubt it since I see a couple busker cases).
OMG LETS GET IT HYPE UP IN HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
People still like teasers, right?
yasss
These may be on the list, or may not, but here are three thematic teasers for three different things:
Melisandre Stormrage
Grim Maximus
MC Rico
Mystical Claidhmore named Rico
If I had to guess, I'd say there's probably a build your own for Sunday
Well, congrats on your new morning star
What is wonderful about greater shadow death
It's the only thing from the teasers I'm desperate for
the only good bug is a dead bug?
That is the correct Rico!
It's new and interesting but not uber powerful (according to @scenic jacinth)
Neat! Come on you apes, you wanna live forever?!
I'm happy to die with my fun, fancy OHBs
The MC would be a refer to someone else, not a claidhmore. All the three teasers are in a similiar vein.
After the auction I will be selling my Estate planning services , for 5 mil silver we can hook you up with an Elanthian Living Trust
I'm open to this future
Burn all of my Gemstone assets upon my demise. If I can't have them, no one can.
If you have too much magic on you when we burn the body , you may come back as a lich , or lvl 2 zombie
Simutronics reserves all rights on the likeness and trademark of your character, they will turn you into a random local NPC on expiration. Forever part of the game!
Wouldn't be the first time tbh
How much to be a bum that wanders around landing throwing trash at passerby’s , roll to save or you get stunned for one round
You would have to have your heirs continue to pay the monthly premium sub for this unique service...
Does this Rico wear a Diamond?
...asking for a friend and all.
No diamonds associated with the MC Rico clue.
Really more what the two halves of that clue would say that fits the theme.
Surprised folks aren’t at least a little bit excited about a Melisandre teaser…
what's the teaser?
We need moar teaser context!
These were the three clues I gave before:
#1446983942644301936 message
Would you be willing to tease one of them more thoroughly? ❤️
I'm going to guess a farmers market stall with a unique personality
I wanted to give folks some time to guess. For all three when it came time to describe the items, both halves of the clue (which are two people/characters) fit in part due to what they are known for.
I don't know who the characters are to know what they are known for
Is Grim Maximus a vampire reference?
I'm asking chatGPT to decipher this, so give me a minute
No vampires. (They suck)
And I figured it could be a group effort in guessing parts.
A unique OHB or weapon-adjacent scripted item with:
Death-flares or killing effects.
Shadow/fire flavor.
Possibly enhanced versus specific creature types (e.g., “bugs” broadly).```
scarabs
🤔 did illidan and malfurion get another sister?
I will say all three of the items in question I am teasing are weapons.
I'm not sure why it chose OHB 😄
DID SOMEONE SAY OHB? @timid orbit is this accurate?
Melisandre… weapons….
Could be fire related. Shadow related. Or in a big stretch….
Leeches 😬
That would be the Stormrage reference.
The Twin Blades of Azzinoth?
Melisandre Stormrage: fire-themed stormstaff?
warglaives?
someone ask nyxus to make those wings that would work like a shield
That's the right brother. But less specific to what he wields. More looking at what he does.
demon hunter
demon bane!
For Melisandre, what is something she is well known for saying?
The night is dark and full of terrors
The night is dark and full of terrors.
She made me think runestaff
terror flaring weapon?
Also @fathom tendon: Jinx!
Correct. That would be the thematic hints.
There was a Michonne katana years ago. Wonder what happened to that thing
Are any of these OHBs by any chance? ❤️ (not asking to know which one would be)
And it isn't a runestaff
Oh, I know. With the silver changes coming...
He is not prepared.

I mean of course you know you've seen it.
wait whaaaa?
This teaser is taking... TEN THOUSAND YEARS.
I can keep doing Illidan quotes.
I'm an expert.
Auchand has seen the weapon.
maximus ... gladiator? making us entertained?
That would be the correct Maximus
gladius
master chief?
And a gladius is what he was known for using.
I'm lost 😂
For MC? No. Different title/abbreviation
hammer?
Rico, from starship troopers?
Clearly the answer is: Master Chief uses a gladius with terror flares. Also my wife is a Master Chief, and she's terrifying. So it checks out.
Demon banes, something banes, insect banes
It's three different weapons
Hammer time
And yes Hammer is the MC reference.
GASP
Rico is from Starship Troopers, which was from earlier.
So it's a kiramon bane hammer?
Hammer with insect bane!
that clue was 2 legit
2 quit!
That was SUCH a great movie, and I remember nothing about it
Think of all the OHB you could make if you win adding a forge to a private property?!?
And you guys have it for the third clue
so first item is some kind of Terror Flares weapon with Demon Bane? oops sorry for the tag, not sure why I did that as a reply
You just have the Grim part of the second clue
I mean, I'd be all on this but I have no realistic chance of affording it at this auction, sadly.
But terror flares don't work on undead
scythe?
Grim... Death flares
@timid orbit really clever clues
They do if they're from fyrswn'ava, which makes me think they should update standard terror to match.
And yes Grim as in Grim Reaper
xyzdfajsf;dfj gladius
death flares?
So Scythe.
I wish scythe was a better weapon base, I would totally use one
Free the nouns!
Xazkruvrixis. It just flows off the tongue doesn't it?
nobody said we were being graded for spelling
Avadakedavra flares
gesundheit.
Oh is this the short sword? Grim Maximus?
You're playing a text based game. Spelling is always important.
Wrayth 2.0 will have spellcheck and autocorrect!
As you all worked through the clues as a team, you should be rewarded with for your efforts
The wide blade extends out from the hilt with a broad fuller running nearly its entire length, to help provide strength and flexibility, before stopping several inches from the point. Mottled black runs throughout the grey hue of the low steel, reminiscent of a sickly growth. Thick, dark bronze forms the cruciform hilt with an outward curved crossguard. The handle is covered in ebonwood, its surface smooth and contoured for a sure grip, and capped with a dragonmist crystal pommel.
In the Common language, it reads:
Terror from Beyond```
That was the Melisandre Stormrage clue reference
Nice look on that
that's beautiful
I wa not prepared
Thank you, I am glad you like it.
What about the other two?
I was giving you all a moment to look at that one
This is where you get "you'll see sunday"
Featuring a raised ridge in the center that slopes down to each of the keen edges, the blade has the classic rhomboidal cross-section. The metal has a matte black finish, with the dark green mix barely visible as life moves across it. A bolster of dull grey rolaren separate the dark xazkruvrixis from the white ghostwood hilt, and provides a contrast between light and dark. The grooved handled is polished smooth for a secure, comfortable grip, and capped with a circular disc for balance. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
There appears to be something written on it.
In the Common language, it reads:
Shademaker```
That was the Grim Maximus reference
These have a bit of a Bergham feel
its not too late to add containers
My guess: switchable materials/rare flares (which would be soooo neat)
I am not Bergraham, but I like making weapons.
See last auction for further reference
Okay MC Rico!
Thick, heavy mithril has been forged into the head of the hammer. Unadorned in any way, its utilitarian design allows its massive size to speak for itself. A length of fel serves as the haft, secured to the metal head with bands of invar. The wood has been blackened completely, and sanded to a nearly smooth finish to allow for a firm grip. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
There appears to be something written on it.
In the Common language, it reads:
Splat```
And that's the MC Rico reference
lol splat
OMG I love that
ah the bane maul hath revealed itself
And I was rather pleased with the name on that one. Auchand can attest.
thank you for sharing these!
Boom Splat!
I will leave the specifics of their stats for the auction itself. But they are all potent. Nothing scripted. Just good at what they do.
Those are Saturday things? Or Sunday things?
Thank you all for playing along on the teaser game
I can't speak to when they will be auctioned off. I just made them.
that was fun, the xaz short sword and the bane maul were both on the saturday list
That was fun!
I'm glad you had a fun time, I enjoyed you all figuring them out.
I've been badgering you to update the SD script for the better part of a decade, and I just wanted to say I really appreciate/love that you did this
yes we dooooo
Just give Sprite Weapons the Twin Weapons treatment by adding another super tier above and beyond the original design.
I LOVE those weapons so much! That would be so amazing
obey your thirst
The TownCrier Tracking Spreadsheet is ready for tomorrow, or as ready as I can make it!
See you All then!
Hmm, what are language spectacles? 🧐 (I know that's a monocle, but I have what I have emoji-wise!)
There have been spectacles out there in the past that let you read different languages.
They’re Google Lenses, cutting edge Tech in Elanthia
Preparations have commenced.
(Max is what I'm willing to pay, Chances covers whether I think that max could actually win the item or not. This is not in order of the original list. It could probably use another Chances rating of "lolol" for when "Minimal" isn't sufficient, but ya know, I didn't want to overcomplicate it. 😛 )
Any chance you’ll share your empty spreadsheet?
Touché, Salesman… touché…

Fun fact: Some of these things were also seen in 2023, so you can get an idea of what they have previously sold for.
Trying to figure out when the moon pendants were sold last time so I know if they were good or not...
Edit: Hmm. Well, I found it, but details were so scant that I still have no idea if they were good or not.
Dett says, "Liabo provides physical defense; Lornon, magical defense; Tilaok, phystical attack strength; and Makiri, magical attack strength. The bonuses are strongest when the moons are high and full, and will change with the moons."
Dett says, "Followers of Liabo or Lornon deities will get an increase from the effects of the moon of their deity, but a reduced benefit from the other."
Dett says, "It's a unique artifact."```
(Went for 220m in a 2020 silver auction, which is definitely not an amount I'd be willing to risk spending without more info, but I suppose we'll see what this Tilaok one goes for and/or if we *do* get more info.)
It provides minor (like +5 bonus to AS/DS/CS/TD) depending on which moon(s) are out. Unless the original never got a wiki entry, but that's what it does afaik
Oof, that's minor. Crossing that one off my list. I appreciate the info, though. Thanks!
Current Mania Item: a pellucid obsidian sphere pendant containing a tiny orrery
Mania Item Cost: 250,000 bloodscrip
You note the following details about a pellucid obsidian sphere pendant containing a tiny orrery:
It has 0 charges.
It could be activated by waving it.
It will persist after its last magical charge has been expended.
It is a small item, under a pound.
It is estimated to be worth about 1,000,000 silvers.
It is magic resistant.
It is predominantly crafted of obsidian.
The pendant can be worn around the neck. The pendant appears to serve some purpose.
This obsidian sphere pendant cannot be altered.
This obsidian sphere pendant, when worn, provides both physical and magical bonuses to attack and defense strength, based on Elanthia's four moons.
Liabo provides a physical defense strength general bonus.
Lornon provides a magical defense strength general bonus.
Tilaok provides a physical attack strength general bonus
Makiri provides a magical attack strength general bonus.
The amount of any bonus is equal to 2 times the number of active moons. An active moon is one that is not lost in or below the horizon.
The phase of a moon affects the strength of its bonus, as does its altitude:
Phase: Altitude:
Full Moon: 100% At zenith: 100%
Gibbous: 75% Near zenith: 75%
Half Moon: 50% Upper sky: 50%
Crescent: 25% Middle sky: 25%
New Moon: 10% Lower sky: 10%
Near/below horizon: 0%
A moon provides its combat bonus as long as that moon is active.
omg you're so funny
what is a heraldric standard?
https://gswiki.play.net/Heraldic_Standard/saved_posts
1x/day 1 hour party buff of 5 AS and +1-3 mana and stamina every minute (independent of normal regen pulses).
anyone able to change silver to gold?
I assume everyone will be able to, once it gets closer to the auction
Okay, I've updated the wiki entry for todays auction to include links to what is known.
Thank you for doing that ❤️
Awesome that you also listed the previously sold for prices. I won’t be deterred though!
Auctions are pure chaos, so it's probably irrelevant, but I like to have a reference for what other people have been willing to pay for the item. I think it helps me set expectations.
No you’re 100% on the mark. It is good to see what other people have been willing to pay and realizing I wouldn’t even be willing to pay like 1/6th of that!
This gold exchange thing,, why more math! 😩
I found it's easier to think of it like bloodscrip.
If I must
I like that my teasers have been obscure enough that there is a question mark as to what they fall under. 😈
||All shall be probably revealed.||
Today's To-Do List:
-Exercise
-Meal Pep
-Chores
-Convert silvers to gold
-SETTLE IN FOR A MARATHON AUCTION!!!
"its massive size *to speak for itself"?
@scenic jacinth How many mirthweapons did you add to the auction?
This is something I would spend way more than I should on....
Bad copy and paste, the hammer itself is correct (and so is what I listed now).
good deal
2 + a custom.
Same with the GSD.
3 GERMAN SHEPARD DOGS?
- shepherd 😛
I am very sleepy, my 2 hour nap was not long enough
@scenic jacinth I hugged my star, and now I can't get it back through summon
Fixed.
yaaaay thank you!
It should work with P&C as well.
(Which is why I just had to update the command table.)
summon star
You wait patiently, but to no avail.
summon item star
You can't summon that.
Hrm. Mine worked.
You will your morning star into your waiting hand. Darkness seeps from your chest, crawling forth in frothing tentacles and snapping maws. The viscous mass crawls down your arm, coalescing into the form of a gold-spiked black alloy morning star with a ruby-dusted witchwood haft.```
I am ruined....(property forge)
What's up with the busker cases? I don't get it.
Hmm. Day 2 still has some things I could plausibly see winning...
I can probably take a look at yours in a sec, @shrewd rune. They aren't mine, but I'll take a peek into them.
what are these RegenBugFGE (FlareGlovesEdition)?? Mystic Mirror? Perfect Self Pin? An aranthium lore pin Soul Stone? Cracked Embervein Fragment?
They have a sort of attunement that nobody ever remembers to set. I got one that wasn't set right
Kk, gimme about 5 mins.
MK Perfect Self would be kinda amazing.
I don't own one, sorry, just see lots for auction and don't get them.
To answer Vishra's questions about GSD weapons:
GSD weapons have a script flare called Darkrasp. Darkrasp deals HP damage to an enemy and applies Feeble. When Darkrasp triggers, it grants you a benefit called Profane Bargain, which gives your next attack an AS bonus based on the weapon's current Satiety.
At Tier 4, Profane Bargain gives you an SMR Defense buff based on Satiety that lasts for 15 seconds after every flare.
At Tier 5, Profane Bargain can also put you into hiding.
Okay, busker case.
Sounds like it was just a "why are they such a Big deal" and not "mine isn't working"
these let you pull a random item out every four days. pretty neat
oooh thanks
On one hand, I see seven items I think I'm willing to at least moderately try for on day 2.
On the other hand, I saw fourteen items I thought I was willing to at least moderately try for on day 1 only for people to go above my range (usually way above my range) every time.
This should be fun!
Plus 3 cs tat. Going to be highest bid
Does "Custom Mirthbrand" have to be a new item or can we add it to an existing one? (Either way is fine with me, just different possibilities depending on the answer...)
Has to be new.
Katana it is!
Actually, wait. Can you make gloves out of it?
Okay I'm still working out some things. And the GSD weapons do SO much- I'm sure I'll miss a few things. But for those who are curious, here's the analyze:
The morning star is a Greater ShadowDeath weapon of Tier 5.
The product of a perverse and corrupting ritual, the star feeds upon the life essence of foes to gain Satiety, which empowers its wielder and its own unsavory abilities. The star has the following capabilities:
Darkrasp: When not at 0 Satiety, the weapon has a chance to flare with inky
black tendrils that will deal concussion damage and apply Feeble
to the target and grant the wielder a boost to Attack Strength
on their next attack based on the weapon's current Satiety.
Cost: 1 Satiety
Umbral Crescent: When WAVEd, the weapon performs an area of effect attack affecting
up to 1 creature per Tier; on a failed SMR test, the creature takes
health damage and the weapon generates 5 Satiety per target hit.
Cooldown: 1 min
Predator's Lure: When TURNed, the weapon forces up to 5 unengaged hostile creatures
within adjacent rooms to make a Mental MDR test; on a failure, they
are drawn into the wielder's room.
Cost: 5 Satiety; Cooldown: 3 min
Black Transfusion: The wielder can INFUSE {#} spirit into the weapon, generating 5
Satiety per spirit infused.
Cooldown: 5 min
Umbral Dread: Umbral Crescent also applies the Horrified condition to affected
creatures.
Shadowgate: The wielder can TOSS their weapon. It will search for another
transport-eligible room in the area with at least one hostile
creature and no other adventurers. The player and, if they are
leading a group, their group, will teleport to the room.
Cost: 10 Satiety, Cooldown: 3 min
Improved Darkrasp: Darkrasp flares enhance the wielder's senses and reflexes,
granting a bonus to SMR defense for 15 seconds based on Satiety.
Malison of Unmaking: The user can CLENCH their weapon, causing their next successful
attack with it to afflict their target with a disruptive curse.
The target must make an SMR test every 2 seconds for the next 10
seconds, taking Disruption damage on failed tests.
Cost: 5 Satiety; Cooldown: 2 min
Gloomform: The wielder can RAISE their weapon, empowering themself with
darkness. During this time, the weapon behaves as if it is
at maximum Satiety for 1 minute, during which Darkrasp's flare
chance is increased. Abilities do not consume Satiety while
Gloomform is active.
Cost: 50 Satiety; Cooldown: 5 min
Hungering Gate: 3 seconds after being activated, the wielder's Shadowgate will
detonate. Up to 3 creatures must make an SMR test or take
Disruption damage and be Terrified.
Apex Darkrasp: Darkrasp flares have a chance to hide the wielder.
Additionally, the morning star has the following fluff abilities:
TOUCH
SNAP {target}
TILT
GAZE
LISTEN
PULL (produces shadow orbs)
HUG (meld your weapon with your body)
SUMMON (retrieve your weapon)
You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the morning star for you.
J>
Has to be metal!
I mean, somnis gloves are metal...
Gauntlets are metal 🙂
Highlights/Additional Info:
- These are 7x base and have acid in addition to the Darkrasp flares. The weapon provides a passive AS bonus up to +25 based on how sated it is. Your first attack after a Darkrasp flare or the AoE Umbral Crescent ability can increase your AS by up to another +25 when fully sated. As mentioned above, the Darkrasp flares also give you a solid SMR bonus for 15 seconds
- Darkrasp flares seem to do up to 100 damage and apply Feeble (50% penalty to EBP) and have a chance to hide you at T5
- Predator's Lure can bring up to 5 creatures from neighboring rooms into your own room, and Shadowgate will take you to a nearby room with creatures but not players (and then hit them with an AoE 3 seconds later)
- The disruptive curse from Malison of Unmaking is more powerful than mindwrack flares (Usually 50-70 per 2 second tic)
- Pulling these weapons will create neat shadow orbs you can RP with
- Much like T3 Briar, It's very easy to keep the base +25 AS bonus up (well +23/+24) continuously
does the lizard actually die if you don't feed it?
It does not. It goes into hibernation. I can’t remember the verb to wake it back up, just that it gets grumpy when you do so.
They fall asleep and you can show it a cricket to wake it back up.
The crickets can die though!
There is a vendor in solhaven I think to buy more though if they do
A lithe veiled sentinel just came through some riveted black ora doors.

Soul Stone
Do we need to win five others to power the Infinity Gauntlet?
I'm soooo curious about this!
could be...
-
you use it to imprison a super scary demon and then embed it into your head, slowly driving yourself crazy until the demon is freed or
-
you use it to cast re-raise on someone, and they get to self-raise when they die
what's a mystic mirror?
maybe one of those self-healing mirrors
ah i see. thanks
No idea if that is this, but I have an orb that replenishes spirit 5 times a day.
You rub your dark ebony orb. A spark of energy leaps from your hand to the orb. A white glow from the orb surrounds you for a moment but soon dissipates.
>look orb
You see a dark ebony orb. As you gaze at it, you see a few wispy swirls within its surface.```
it's me the adamantine winner -- so I got down to 113 from 146 with notes, now notes no longer work, but the material still analyzes as can be lightened. You dont have to give specifics if you dont want but just wanted to let you know and if you could, weigh in (heh) on whether that sounds about how it should be working
were the things you could loot from soul golems and use to lk people (used to be refillable by pourinng a white flask into them) soul stones? or is that something else
I'll check if the notes are doing something I didn't expect.
if it needs to be merchant lightened that's more than fine, just have never seen a thing take notes, and then not, but still be lighten-able (as per the analyze)
Awesome stuff
do we know which lore flare ring is going up tomorrow?
winner chooses of whats available I believe
If you won one of the busker cases and it isn't working for you properly, put in an Assist. It should be a quick fix.

There are plenty of metal runestaves too!
fun
I guess adding weakened armament to tackle is ok
I'm holding out hope this would apply. hngh.
if robes are weakened does that just eviscerate the bloodspeaker?
It actually circles back to full plate
damn we need to get 64bit ASAP, I dont wanna get nuked
ASG is an unsigned int and it somehow goes to whatever armor group is 4.294 billion
Oh silly me, I was assuming they might at least clamp
I did some quick math on those fully unlocked flare gloves that sold today. The unlocks work out to like 1.2 billion bloodscrip. Sold for 387 mill. Deal of the day?
In actual value, sure, but in practical value - no
Xaz shorty gets my vote
I use mine religiously. I also have a regen bug that often negates the stamina cost though as a warrior
I doubt anyone would every fully unlock and max out all flares when building their own gloves. Like Leafiara said, maybe 2-3 make sense for some particularly versatile builds. Super nice item if you plan to share it amongts many different builds though!
Also great for someone who like... rotates a bunch of premium alts on one account!
It should not be overlooked that I believe some of the flares are not even available.Such as mana 5, dispel 5. Guess 10x acuity is available.
I trade them to my casters a lot for the acuity 10x
mana 5 and dispel 5 were available last run, it was a really good deal but like kaetel said of that ~1.2m number or whatever it is like, 700 of it is stuff you'd never use really
they are...I have them all
Well dang. I missed the upgrades then.
I'm surprised the pure metals didn't go for more
I mean, the eonake one was a maul.
like steam, grapple and unbalance (even if you wanted to use one you certainly wouldn't ever pay for both), the twohanded unlock for the vast majority of people, etc. etc. It was really nice no matter how you overanalyze it though
It would have been a great time to steal a blunt from Vishra with the shadowdeath, or whatever that morning star was, being the one for the day.
Were there teasers for the farm tomorrow? What area is it in?
grapple is actually pretty great
I assumed it was private property add but hmm
GEF lightning and dispel 5 are where it's at
I'd love an armor version of the flare gloves. Could do crit padding, damage padding, flares etc
i agree but you'd never pay for both it and unbalance on flare gloves was my point. you'd kinda do one or the other, and almost certainly it would be grapple, if you were like "i just want to knock things down like, all the time."
banshee too
They are for busking! They'll gather tips for you as you perform on the street.
They are highly sought after with a certain RP niche.
And really rare. Until this weekend.
i'm curious what the bard guild's retaliation is
At least the T2 version is really rare.
You know that one soprano opera singer that can break crystal/glass with their voice? Yeah, they send her after you... Good luck with your eardrums. /s
Your Lucky Item starts spitting out negatives intead of boosts?
It goes robes, light leather, heavy leather, chain armor, plate armor, plot armor.
Fully unlocked plot armor is as OP as it gets.
Finally the armor to match every player's main character energy.
More items are planned. Ya'll really making this great. 😄

Neat effect!
It is knocked to the ground!`
And boom goes the dynamite.
@scenic jacinth where do the acid flares live? Cat B or Material?
Material, I think?
They're inherent to black alloy.
I didn't take any additional steps to add them.
Can you ask the creator? flees [Does that mean Cat B is open?]
It might be both- I just ran a 1604 test and it gave "Cat B is already full" messagin
Makes sense.
They'd occupy whatever slot that drakar and other materials' flares do.
Some take up the material slot and leave Cat B open. Others take both. It does seem to work like drakar (sadly) though taking up both!
For what it's worth, I don't think the flares there are required. I will check.
I love the flares!- it would just be even better if they lived in the material slot only
Oh!
the "has to be metal" thing for the custom Mirthbrand means no runestaves, right? Just so I can put that thought to bed
The twisted weapon, acid edition also have the ability flares (and are all black alloy)
?
Right now, there'd be no point to having it be a runestaff. Maybe mirthstaves some day? 😛
Im not mad about it 😅
I use the twohand unlock on my claidpath and it is quite nice
I like Piercing Wit a lot.
And you should try POINT.
(GAWK)
it makes meeaaad
(The mead has a flavor now.)
Oh that's good I thought I was just getting unlucky with the flavor messaging 😆
Also this is gonna work real well with the sisters' High Tolerance Gemstones
LOL.
does the meade do anything? (without the gemstone)
I was going to respond "taste good" but I have to summon it again for the flavor messaging...
OK yeah tastes good. That is some lovely messaging.
I won't ruin it for the people who luck out on these for tomorrow. But some of the ambients had me in stitches as well.
I kind of want to see this in action.
Jisandra will definitely be generous with the dranks function. Though it looks like it's a "chug-chug-chug" beverage as it appears to dissipate if you hold it too long
There is one message that gets me every time.
Is it the trolly ambient? Because she showed me that one and it's hilarious.
yeah the minute that one hit and I did a double-take and was like... what.... and then had to go to a node for a bit to stop laughing
It is estimated to be worth about 17,800,000 silvers.
It is predominantly crafted of purified adamantine of perfect quality.``` I am hype for light adamantine, I should wield a max light glaes club for hilarity
Thank you. https://gswiki.play.net/Greater_Shadow_Death
@round pumice is this helpful as well?
Sure!
Notes work with these I believe
they did up to a point but zissu fixed it now.. 38 is the lowest we can go
Day 2 is now available: https://gswiki.play.net/Grand_Auction_of_5126#Sunday,_January_4th,_2026
thanks alastir
do the moon pendants have to use a functional slot? I'm going to have a conflict if so...
I would assume yes since they provide a combat bonus
What are Shadowy Gloves?
Ooo, how do we know the aranthium lore pin is combat-related?
Mmm, I guess we don't, but most aranthium items have some combat relation.
Hung around your neck:
a pellucid obsidian sphere pendant containing a tiny orrery (functional)

So today there's matching right? In the spirit of let's get rid of all silvers?
Seems to go against the theme of drain em dry.
In the official announcement, Wyrom said no price matches: #general-announcements message
he also said no RPA so I say he continues to be a rebel
If you wanna drain them all. Let us price match. Pewpew!
Price match leads to collusion! They would have to be surprise price matches at the end to pull in any left over imo.
Yeah, price matches should always be at the end, not mid auction, to maximize auction value.
I do not know about you folks, but I am ALWAYS surprised when he says he will take a price match.
I'm not terribly surprised when something sells for 1b and he says price match. 😄
Until next time. Hype crab retires.
You did a GREAT job!
My daily routine of checking the hype thread for cool stuff is in shambles right now
I keep flipping through discord looking for… something… lol
Duskruin hype train when? 😛
We must rest.
Yeah me too, so many auction threads to search, so little new information. But I have absolutely no idea what I'm expecting 😄 there should be no new information! Not about the auction, at least.
EVIL LAUGH
Incoming hype?
now use a pheonix down on it!
the phantom train suplex was one of the greatest moves in gaming history
took far too long for the 9999 react, but dont worry I gotchu
(there is a third panel but this is a family game)
How's that purified wolverine plate?
obviously Wyrom was referencing the adamant armor from final fantasy 2, only to be had by farming pink puffs to get a pink tail.. ahh the drop rate was like 1/256... Id kill for that now 😅
I miss that game
Hah, I didn't make it, Zissu did, but my inspiration would have absolutely been FF2!
Mirthbrand Weapons- Overview and Review
Hey everyone, I just wanted to do a post about @scenic jacinth's amazing new **Mirthbrand weapons. **
Overall: This is a great upper-mid tier powered weapon script with an amazing approach to weapon ability charges that changes the way you hunt, adds a lot of fun to the experience, and buffs your offhand weapon. While the absence of damage from glitter flares may detract for some, the truly inspired messaging/flavor and roleplaying depth more than make up for it and make this a noteworthy addition to the world of GS weapon scripts.
Power: B+
**Flavor: **A
**Fun: **A+
~Mirthbrand Weapon Highlights:~
- Script-based glitter flares: -25DS/-15TD no damage flares that have a chance to hit up to 2 additional targets (rare).
- **Three activated abilities **with max charges of 1 (Brave Companions), 3 (Drunken Prodigy), and 5 (Piercing Wit). A new charge is earned at 5 kills for Drunken Prodigy, 10 kills for Piercing Wit, and 50 kills for Brave Companions. This is hands down the best implementation of the limited charges approach to weapon scripts I’ve seen. Normally the more you use a weapon with limited charges, the less interesting it becomes. This flips the script on its head- the more you use it, the more you’re rewarded. It adds extra depth and excitement to your hunts.
- Joyful Heart: A passive AS bonus that cycles from +0-25 based on your kill counter (+1/4 kills; kill counter resets after 100). The bonus applies to your offhand weapon as well!
4)** Drunken Prodigy** is an AoE attack that affects a random number of targets (I’ve seen as many as 4 I think) and guarantees glitter flares on each hit - **Piercing Wit **is a single target MDR attack that guarantees glitter flares and also causes the Horrified condition
- **Brave Companions **first creates an SMR-based AoE slash attack that can hit 1 or more targets and then creates random SMR-based Slash attacks that hit one or more targets every 5 seconds for a total of 60 seconds. These attacks follow you as you move around. Note unlike the other abilities, Brave Companions gets a charge at exactly 50 kills and 100 kills, not every 50 kills after a charge has been used.
- There’s a non-activated ability: Helping Hand that apparently will attempt to save you under some circumstances. I haven’t seen it activate yet.
- It makes MEAD! ** You can POINT it at someone to put mead in their hand
9) It has some really lovely messaging, including ambients-** quite a few. There are at least 12 (THANK YOU @keen cosmos!)
Can it self cast the mead?
Yes!
I think quite a few weapon scripts would benefit from switching from CD to a kill counter instead.
Vishra cast a mead at me the other day, super cool. I had to do a double take to figure out how i randomly got a mead in my hand 😂
I agree- I think it's hugely beneficial and makes people want to use these kinds of weapon scripts more.
I'm surprised we don't have an item that lets us do the pandaran alcohol-spray + fire combo yet
I’ve been collecting the ambients and can send you my list to compare notes if you want
I would love that!
My personal favorite is the one that || looks like an RPA at first but really is just gas ||
Omg I love it. I really wanted to share it with everyone actually
Thanks for doing all the math on charges, Joyful Heart, etc! I was having a hard time piecing it all together from my own logs. And yeah I agree - this method of ability charging for equipment is excellent, and it's such a nice blend of flavor and power.
I'll just say thank goodness for the messaging you get when you gain a charge and for @scenic jacinth's patience explaining Joyful Heart to me! (he rolled out some great changes last night that REALLY help clarify it)
Updated Mirthbrand Weapon overview/review to reflect some great changes to Brave Companions that has made the ability much better! #1446983942644301936 message
@fathom tendon you should get a percentage of GSD and Mirthbrand sales
I should! Also that reminds me that I promised to post my GSD review too. I'll get to that tomorrow!
Greater ShadowDeath Review and Info (maybe someone will kindly add the updated info to the wiki page?)
Overall: If you think T3 Briar is one of the best weapon scripts in the game (and it is), and you think ShadowDeath is the worst weapon script in the game (and it is), then Greater ShadowDeath will blow your mind. Auction tier versions have 15 (yes 15!) low CD active and passive abilities with no daily caps on use that leverage a Satiety charge pool system that’s extremely easy (and fun) to manage. This includes up to a +25AS passive bonus to the weapon that doesn’t drop between hunts, Darkrasp flares that deal strong concussion damage, enfeeble enemies, and boost both your AS and your SMR defense significantly, and a 1min CD AoE wave attack. The activated abilities are things you actually want to use, and the flavor and messaging are exceptional. Make no mistake: the combat power, utility, and flavor make Auction quality GSD one of the top 5 weapon scripts in the game.
Satiety/Charge System:
- Holds up to 50 Satiety/charges, which directly affect the passive AS bonus and the post-Darkrasp AS boost (Up to +25 each at max)
- Recharged by infusing spirit (1sp = 5 charges) through Dark Transfusion or by using the 1min CD Umbral Crescent AoE attack (5 charges per target/ max 5 targets). Extremely easy to keep fully charged, and charges don’t fall off until used. coughBriarcough
- Satiety also powers four other activated abilities and Darkrasp flares (see below)
Combat Abilities:
- Has both Improved & Apex Darkrasp Flares (up to 100 damage, no crit, +10SMR Defense for 15 seconds, up to a +25AS boost on your next swing, AND a high chance of hiding you without RT) and inherent Cat B Acid flares. Darkrasp Flares cost one Satiety charge per flare.
- Easy to keep a +25 AS passive bonus up that applies to the weapon by keeping Satiety at max charges. No activation/upkeep required.
- Malison of Unmaking (5 charges) attacks a target and then puts them through up to 5 rounds (2 secs/per) of extremely powerful, SMR based disruption crits. Great for enemies with a lot of blood. 2min CD
- Umbral Crescent w/ Umbral Dread: AoE SMR-based concussion damage attack that hits between 0-5 targets. Damage scales really well and also applies Horrified to targets (no crits). Each target you hit recharges 5 Satiety. It'll often only hit 1-2 targets, but hits higher pretty often as well. And 1min CD means you can keep using it!
Utility:
- Predator’s Lure (5 charges) brings in up to 5 unengaged creatures from adjacent rooms- which really helps speed up your hunts (MDR Based). 3min CD
- Hungering Shadowgate (10 charges): takes you and your group to a random nearby room with an enemy and causes a strong SMR-based AoE attack after 3 seconds. 3 min CD
- Gloomform (25 charges): For 1 minute abilities don’t use up charges, and you get the full +25 passive and post-Darkrasp AS boosts. Darkrasp flares become more common. Since it can only be used at max charges and empties your charges, it’s hard to imagine situations where it’s worth using this ability. 5min CD
Flavor/RP:
- HUG your weapon to absorb it into your body (storage) weightlessly (Summon item <weapon> to pull it back out)
- PULL to create Shadow Orbs. They have a few verbs, but hold on to them. They turn into one of 8 variations each with multiple ambients after about 90 seconds. A LOT of work and detail went into these- I'm impressed.
Sort but that is no Mirthblade
