Haha, oh and in case it wasn't clear, golems were a 2024 exclusive Battle Vault item. The golems still have a lot more stuff locked off, so they'll get a lot more noisier and interactive soon. Part of this whole selling items is also to get people using them to make sure no bugs got introduced. I think it's pretty safe to say they are good to go now.

I don't like using the ultimate FOMO of these will never be offered again, but the goal for the Battle Vault items were to create something exclusive each year. I do think we went a little big for year one of them and it would be really difficult to keep up with this pace. The golems and spinners were pretty big projects. The chassis will not be mass distributed again, but a one-off chassis every now and then may happen. Or some sort of jackpot prize somewhere.

The plan is to continue to sell parts. MechSpinner as well.

Please add something else that can go into a golem similar to the potato. (it doesn't even need the exp benefits) Just something that interacts with ithe golem in a similar way. Something new for those of us who did not have a potato, prior to putting together a golem, and could not afford 100k BS to purchase one last minute at Duskruin. It would be another option for those who have potatoes as well.

The potato part of this is pretty minor. It's just an interaction. There is also a lot of messaging to come for these. The pet system was kind of hijacked a bit, and I would like to get that fixed without disrupting some of the existing pets out there.

A Burghal gnome of a sufficient level can use TINKER to swap how an arm or leg is attached to a chassis. The noun does not change, only how the limb attaches to the chassis.

Is "sufficient level" supposed to be a mystery?

Customizations of parts isn't going to be much of a thing. Just the size and noun, which you'll just be able to set. I apologize for it dragging on. After EG, I had to jump on something. I'll be on this again tonight and this weekend to finish it up for the golem. The Quee integration might be right after, but it's mostly done too. When I say mostly done, I mean it works with no messaging and enters/exits the golem, but I need to update Quee to understand this and do a whole assortment of fun messaging. But I also need to write an ANALYZE for both of these too.

Sadly I learned that I can't juggle a lot of GM projects when taking on really big PM projects these days. I'll still find time to do these things that I enjoy, but I also need to make sure the really big game projects are getting out there.

Discord would be a lot more useful if there were more robust customization features for servers. If I could create a "folder" and move what I feel are relevant threads to that "folder", even with the option of renaming them for my view, it would be a lot more useful in an archival sense. Trying to find that one message buried somewhere can be overwhelming to the point I just give up. As it stands, there's no real method of user-facing prioritization available. It works, but it could work better.

People just don't all think and organize the same way. What would be most useful for the way my brain works would likely be nonsense to someone else and visa versa.

I had requested the ability to star threads, channels, and forum categories (so the opposite of muting) where I always see them, I think it would be a step in the first direction. But I don't think it got much traction even in the feature request community stuff.

That would be helpful. I just kind of equate it to Google Drive. I do work for about two dozen publishers who all use it as a central information/file sharing platform. Since I have the ability to basically build my own directory structure using shortcuts for everything (in a way that is relevant to me) I can typically find anything I need within a few seconds. Without that I would struggle to mull through it all to find anything.

We tried Asana as a task management platform with a few places. In concept it's great, functionally it just ended up being a bunch of extra steps. Then you end up having to track someone down because they didn't flag their task for release back to the workflow. Which happened.... a lot.

We had some staffing updates that caused a delay. I've been working on some of the updates each week. There isn't a whole lot left. Just a way to change the size, noun, some messaging, and the Quee integration. The pet system as a whole needed several updates as well, which most of those are live (some of your other pets should have more messaging now as it was skipping in some areas).

so my golem no longer has the appearance it had im told because of the update/frames released. I understand the need for this release however i wasnt active in game when this happened and now have no way to get my golem back to its original appearance "a miniature eonake golem" i asked a GM via refferal if i could be given the opportunity to purchase a frame since my golem was changed while i was away. any chance i can be offered one or maybe we can have them available in this coming DR?

Without going into many details, I've been reassigned to working on larger game systems and core product areas to make sure those tasks get wrapped up. Once some things are cleared up, I'll get back on them.

Not so much those things. Those projects are accounted for. It's stuff that recently hit feedback or my boss. POLICY issues, staffing allegations, and lawsuits. I cannot go into much more than that.

Just an update, I'm waiting for a few things to be finalized and then I should have some free time again to work on these. Most this stuff is out of my hands and I am waiting to resume normal life.

The biggest complication is just making them do more than planned so you all have more fun with them. They already do more that my original project outline, so if I had never went back to the drawing board to make them more robust and never said anything, they would be finalized outside Quee integration. I don't want to stop taking in player feedback and making things better, but sometimes it does come off as a bad thing because it looks like an unfinished, unpolished project gets released. But the fact is I wanted to make it better. Developing in a vacuum isn't something I like to do, I invite a lot of feature creeping. I could do that with players, but it's usually better that you get what's possible so we establish where the limits are before a "the sky is the limit" model gets into place.

Anyway, because I code like a Neanderthal in Notepad, my edits are mostly done offline. I just need to do a few more checks and then just tie it altogether into the editor with some testing. I do think the final product will be great. And I do think you'll all enjoy them more. Just need to get to the finish line.

My understanding is more limited than that. "r" or "u". ;go2 8213501 comes back with [go2: error: room number (8213501) was not found in the map database]

What tools are available to utilize this other room number system "r" or "u". Is there a website I can key in the number and see a map? Is there an in-game command that utilizes the 8213501 number? Will an urchin take me there if I provide the number to them?

Updates are coming, but to be clear, the golems are pretty complete. The update is to have the interaction with Quee, which required an update to the pet system. But I also wanted to make them more interesting, so there is quite a bit more content I'm adding.
