Is anyone having luck finding golem parts in the sewers? I've run equal amounts of sewer entries and arena entries (probably more sewers by a slim margin) and I've found plenty in the arena and not a dang thing in the sewers. Is this by design?

If you want to maximize your chances for parts with your entires, either do endless if you can or group up and do group regular runs with a party

Nope, it seems pretty solid that the only way to hard lock yourself out of a golem is to buy and break the chassis, and even that seems to have been adjusted for the august run so... you have options and can change your mind later on too.

it's just a consolation for anyone who knows they don't want a golem.... it's really intended to be an either / or type of value in the battle vault.... build a golem, OR you get a violet orb. Everyone's kind of maybe happy? (except those that want it alllllll)

Only one vault can be redeemed per character, but if you have other characters on the account you can redeem vaults on them and break their chassis, the orbs are account attuned

It's going to be 25-counts twice instead of 12/13 counts 3 times. So the price is going to be adjusted. We've been doing about 250k per entry, but we're going to be valuing the additional items at some cost beyond zero.

The expected cost will be between 6.25mil to 7.5mil.

Having a year of measuring, the majority of people bought 2 EVENT BOXes per event. Only a very small number of accounts purchased one EVENT BOX, but I do understand that those people will likely feel this is a sharp increase. We're not increasing the price per entry in silver valuation. We're just doubling the amount you get per entry for the event.

I think it would be a good idea to keep the 2x (blue orb) exp scroll in August. DR is already the time GS is most alive, and it's good motivation.

I'm finding less runestaves than normal, but nothing more than 5x and temp crit/damage. only found 3 enhancives so far but they've been +1. but I'm sure I've run a lot less than most

I'm wondering if there's a jackpot 8x or rare metal item someone found to give everyone else hope, and more importantly a reason to keep spending. Seems a bit of a waste to spam the pawnshop. Slide in a golden ticket or two and watch people flood the arena like Walmart on black friday.

On my first couple hundred runs, i noticed the Enhancives felt considerably weaker than last event, so i just flipped my guys to the extra bloodscrip for rewards. It just didn’t seem to be worth the pawn shop shuffle to me.

I think the best Enhancive i found was +9 max stamina.

Could just be in our heads, but sure feels like it got turned down a bit.

Sewer, I've had much higher drop rate in arena, 500 runs there, I've had 8 parts and like 15 automaton drops

I've done probably ~100 solo arena runs so far and 10 trio group runs and seen just one eonake ore, no golems. I've done ~300 sewer runs and gotten 1 golem part.

Every 5 critters you get a chance for a spawned special boss. Sometimes that is a golem. Once/if you spawn in an entry, there's no more. Endless is longer so more chances. Sewer has only one search that could spawn so arena has better odds per entry, but most do more sewer per hour

Yeah it just shouldn’t the the expectation that empaths can’t kill an arena creature without going warpath build. If I were still an empath id never buy another entry unless that was fixed.

That's the only spell I didn't try, I had killed it before someone mentioned that. I will next time. Though, even that only works for the subset of empaths who have +80 summon lore, since it's "inside" I think.

Edit for 111, probably, but bolting empath isn't the standard build, and I have no spell aim.

Perhaps, with no spell aim, that might have been on me, I've never cast it before. So without the first hit, there's probably no other element that maters. So it still comes back to no warding spells working, which is the standard empath skill set.

I don't think anyone would blink if you said that the gears and other clockwork parts of the golems are the "bones" of these creatures, and thus susceptible to 1106. If you wanted to throw in Exoskeleton compatibility for the Hive as part of this, we won't stop you there either! (And thank you for evaluating this!)

Constructs can be killed and appear to allow 1106 because the check isn't happening properly. Constructs don't have bones though. If you mean crit killed, they can be crit killed you just have to double tap it (like most things in GS that have crit immunities). I think that is something we should resolve at some point though.

Steel golems are on the "no bones" list in bone shatter. So it's not anything I can directly add to the creature to give it bones without changing it from a golem or use a whole different creature profile. I think steel golems are a good enemy to have, but over the years I have removed a lot of creatures with quirks because they stood out too much.

The easy fix is to just not use the noun golem and call it a day, but the whole golem thing is centered around these things you're building. They will remain a golem. But there will be some worry about 90% of the player base who doesn't check announcements or Discord on why the clockwork beings are dropping golem parts.

if i was leveling a sorc just for sorcing i'd probably have it. if something is already fairly susceptible to CS losing a handful just makes it slightly worse. if something is inherently very difficult or impoissible to ward, bolts / 720 / etc. can make it very dead. i tend to value the versatility.

but.... yeah, those sweet sweet resource points very much warp that equation for me.

Compared to a cleric or even a sorcerer there is very little juice for the squeeze for empaths to 2x spell aiming, they only have one profession circle spell that uses it and two minor. I think it stinks to have to train it just to do arena, when it has negligible other value. Outside Arena you can pick different targets if you run up on things immune to warding stuff.

I did use 110. The average dmg was 7 per cast. I forgot about 125 so I don't know if that works, I have to check next time I hit one. Though,I think arena is "indoor" so most empaths aren't going to have the 80 summoning needed to cast until well post cap. (Which is probably our fault also, because every pure should decide on 80+ summoning lore.)

Gift of Lumnis certainly does and I'm pretty sure exp orbs do but it's been awhile
Characters on paid subscription accounts will continue to absorb field experience at a reduced rate when not logged in. Point-based and global experience modifiers (Gift of Lumnis, Roleplaying awards, Death's Sting, F2P, etc.) will apply to the offline absorption amounts, time-based experience modifiers (experience boosts) will not. The rate for offline absorption is a flat 15 exp per 10 minutes.

Updates

Clockwork golems are now clockwork automatons. This will solve some concerns with certain spells working. They will also no longer spawn with equipment, as they weren't intended to.

The "rust-cover" golem pieces are now rusty. I'll be putting a fix into the golem pieces to convert.

Some of the gears have been rearranged to have the proper adjective usages for helical, spiral, and bevel. The old ones will still exist because they're technically okay still. Consider them like rare misprints.

Some of the golem pieces that were not dropping as much as others have been nudged and reminded to drop more.

You can wait til the end if you have to (for services or whatever), and there's usually like a week buffer before the certificates expire, should say on them. You just don't want to redeem all your certificates, dust off your hands, and then log out for six months. Gotta stay on so somebody will do them.

When you are ready, REDEEM the certificate while holding the item to be worked on (if applicable), which will cause the certificate to crumble. All certificates MUST be redeemed within one week after the close of Duskruin Arena, or the certificate will be considered forfeit, and it will be destroyed. No exceptions!

I tracked my last 99 arena entries (should have been 100, but I accidentally left out one group member one time). Made 1,530,099 silver, then saved a shield I think I can get 75k for, two enhancive jewelry pieces I think I can get at least 300k for each, and an MBP I'd imagine I could get 500k for.

That was a relatively poor run, though. Usually my average is more like 17k per item.

I'm almost always able to find at least one +3 mana flaring runestaff per Duskruin (yes, that includes this Duskruin and its relatively dead player book market), but if not those, then sephwir longbows or +8-11 TD armor or things of that nature that are worth several hundred or more runs worth of bonus scrip, if not more. One time I found a +35 lightning flaring maul that I sold for 12m. Another good one was a 5x acuity runestaff I got 7.5m for.

The gains here are reliant on being willing to merchant and/or having a playershop, though, plus doing runs in huge bulk numbers.

I tried to put my 1706 x/day on a tattoo. After I tried to cast it, I noticed it was subject to the 50% hindrance or whatever it was with my aug chain, so I submitted a refund, and told the GH I was surprised by the hindrance (the GH responded they were also surprised). But now I'm wondering whether or not the hindrance is actually supposed to be there, or if it's just there as a consequence of the fact that 1706 is, I assume erroneously, showing up as a debuff instead of a buff. This is my first spell tattoo so I have no frame of reference. Are other spell tattoos that people have subject to hindrance? Any insight is appreciated!

You can have up to two sk or mk on the same item or tattoo, I believe general enhansives might take up one of those slots. I have a tattoo with an sk and x day scroll though so those work together fine.

Generally wyrom will work with you, but note if you end up putting an sk on an item it will be forever attuned.

Mk I'm not sure if there are any restrictions or not.

yes the messaging has to be on the weapon, like if you had fatal afflares on a runestaff currently, removed your flares on the runestaff so you could use the gloves, the flares from the gloves through the runestaff would have the previous fatal afflare messaging

Yes, this is the single biggest event box to date. We had 880 of them claimed in Prime for a total of 6.16 billion silver. Granted, the offering is doubled, so instead of 3 (or 4) of them, there will only be 2. I'm pretty confident that the second will hit close to this one.

Any chance that the teas at A Pirate Looks at Four Teas can be updated to have their poured colors match their descriptions? The cup of ebon tea is dark amber when you pour it out, so is the black tea, so my potato will take on a dark amber hue when drinking ebon tea. As a prolific tea drinker, almost every black tea is just a shade of amber when steeped, varying from light to dark. Very few of my Assams get dark enough that I'd call them anything but amber.

The plan is to keep it as is. Future NPC will do instant after you're saturated. But part of me wants to change it in March because we had some concerns that people are running around with a lot of exp and taking risks with 20+ booklets turned in. This sort of exp would not be replaced if you die to normal means. I already had this happen at least twice that I know of.

that's a thing with fatal afflare certs, they look for something in the flare slot to apply, they don't actually require it, but it's how the certs were coded

is there a list of things what can and what cannot be done on the service below, This is a greater transmute. This is to make an item into any other material that exists. There are some restrictions and properties of the material will override some other properties.

If the material has a special property, you will gain that. If the property governs the cat B, it will update that. If the material changes properties on the item, that will also happen. Some examples.

Kroderine will revert your enchant to +22 and remove all magical properties.
Drakar, Gornar, Rhimar, and Zorchar will change the flare.
Low Steel will change the flare.
High Steel will change your bane.

The OB properties on a DB item aren't part of the material. They are manually set by another thing I had to update to make that work, so you'd gain literally nothing by changing them.

The only cert that I can think of where that might be a bad idea is a weapon reforge. The rest of them (flare add, script add, transmute) are fine if the weapon changes between redemption and when the service is completed.
