#Feeder Frenzy FOREVER

oh I also got one of these hehe
Now you can play action figures together.
Got another fancy globe: a spherical glass globe. Free to a good home since I can't see a reason to have two of them. Globe has been claimed.
One more and you can start juggling.
Two finds in one day - what did I do to be so lucky?
It is currently imbedded with the Dauntless spell.
It has 40 charges.
It could be activated by rubbing it.
It will persist after its last magical charge has been expended.
It is a small item, under a pound.
It is estimated to be worth about 100,000 silvers.
It is magic resistant.
It is predominantly crafted of metal.
It has a permanently unlocked loresong by you.```
and me who made the biggest stink about drop rates hasnt found any 🥲
is it possible to accidentily sell these?
I didn't check this thread till now, wondering if I accidentily sold some
They come marked (so no by default), but you could remove the mark.

Nice to see one of my more recent additions go out!
It'll definitely fit the theme on my ranger and I appreciate the simple styling of it, great piece!
W00T!
My sell script starts with ;foreach in inv; get item; mark item remove
(Don’t do this)
Note to self: don't replace Lucullan's stuff if it's accidentally sold.
a ruddy metal-plated pack with a tiny scorpion-shaped lever
Auto-closing backworn pack!
Casil, here is your recent GM Feeder history:
A 10x temporal vorpal orbital purple nurple Xazkruvrurple quoit: SOLD by Lucullan
A scratch and sniff MK Mug sticker: SOLD by Lucullan
The one ring: SOLD by Lucullan
A not so smooth stone: SOLD by Lucullan
Your favorite childhood toy: SOLD by Lucullan
I forgot to mark my first perfect forged item. I had total beginners luck and got a perfect on mu first vice attempt, but it was a great sword so they can take FOREVER.
But I’m a dummy and forgot to mark it (when both pieces are marked the resulting weapon isn’t marked was a learning experience…)
Then I wondered where I put it…. Oh shoot. Not you ;eloot sell!
After that I unchecked everything in eloot sell except stash boxes and sell gems, basically. It was a hard day. Took me a good long while to replace that weapon.
‘The one ring: SOLD by Lucullan’
I’m dying. Ha! I need that this morning. Sounds like me.
assist
but i think perfect weapons should have an inherent value of 40k so they cannot be automatically sold to the pawnshop, it would save a lot of hassle and tears
I did. It wasn’t possible to help me.
Oh!
Can we do that?! GM moderator army?! Are you watching? Can we do that?
I’ll volunteer as tribute to become staff for this one fix because I know you all hate the forging code and I spent most of my days writing code in places that everyone else hates touching.
yeah idk how hard it'd be to code but it seems like it could potentially be easy. pawnshop values are so weird. I accidentally sold a HCW kroderine knife for 1.5k the other day (i bought it back from the backroom for 5k ha ha)

She has shoulder length, light brown hair swept up into a casual twist secured with a copper-spiraled nielloed silver wand.```
You glance down to see a caliginous leather lockpick poke marred by acid droplets in your right hand and nothing in your left hand.
>l poke
The interior of the poke is divided up into eight thin compartments, each just big enough to hold a single lockpick. The compartments are lined with soft black velvet to protect their contents.```
You see nothing unusual.
>glance
You glance down to see an oak brown marbrinus satchel with faenor plates in your right hand and nothing in your left hand.
>analyze satchel
You analyze the brown marbrinus satchel and sense that the item is flagged as Alteration Fodder.
The creator has stated that "The item type should not change."
The creator has also provided the following information:
This is an auto-closing mechanical container that has metal plates that click into place.
The item can be altered with a long or a show, but the metal plates must remain.
You could OPEN, CLOSE, PUSH, or PROD the satchel. There are no tiers to unlock.
You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the brown marbrinus satchel for you or deepen its pockets.

You carefully inspect your golvern pick.
You determine that you could wear the pick around your neck.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of golvern, a very rare metal. This item is intended to be supplied for an alteration. It would need to be supplied to be used in an alteration and may only be used as an accent.```
wearable lockpick. cool!
this one the other day:
>ana my band
You analyze the kelyn band and sense that the item has certain alteration restrictions. It would need to be supplied to be used in an alteration and may only be used as an accent. This material cannot be dyed.
You get no sense of whether or not the band may be further lightened.
>insp my band

Nice! if you have a rogue let me know what it lm appraises as (otherwise I can do it)
Since there's been a few box found lockpicks posted in here, I'm collecting info on lockpicks. I'd love it if you can share the lm appraise of any you find!
here you go!
You examine the golvern pick very closely. It appears to be in excellent condition. It seems to have an excellent level of precision and is astonishingly strong. As far as you can tell, the pick has never been repaired. You could probably handle an amazingly well-crafted lock pretty easily with it.
Roundtime: 4 sec.

You carefully inspect your plush velvet cloak.
You estimate that a snow ivory plush velvet cloak edged with brandy gold beading can store a huge amount (140-159 lbs) with enough space for any number of items.
You determine that you could wear the cloak, hanging it from your shoulders. The cloak appears to serve some purpose.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of cloth, an extremely common material. This item is intended to be supplied for an alteration.```
Just got my very first find! I love them! But...they are not for me. +3 INT bonus persist enhancive.
a pair of fluffy white wool socks patterned with ginger-colored cats from your feet.
If anyone knows a player/character that is interested and would love these please let me know by either @ing me or just somehow as I don't check this thread often.
They might be enhancive. They are also cute enough that I think you should let them inspire your fashion and RP going forward
Oh - I didn't even think about that. Ok I'll get them sung to (I just wore them...they add at least a +6 INT stat)
I would wear these in real life cause i have ginger cats but they arent really Lithy IG. LOL
Those are the ones I made! Yay cat socks.
I still want to know who made my gaudy peacock socks...

Were they enhancive? If so, probably those were me, too.
They are, an if so, thanks! I love my socks.
The cat socks are enhancive too. Do you decide what enhancives to put on there?
I just always assumed everyone getting these were capped
To be fair I did
But I was curious so hence the little one running around
We haven't found any this frenzy, but the last one we found two on pre-20 characters, and two on our level 70ish characters. I don't think level has very much to do with it. We do travel through various hunting areas, and try to pick more obscure ones. I'm not sure if that worked to our benefit, or if it was entirely random.

The feeder frenzy has concluded! But I see quite a few feeder items in locked boxes! Good luck finding them!
I hope you all enjoyed the frenzy. 😄
I have to admit, I am disappointed the person who found "a holey pair of golden wool socks" (40 charges of mantle of faith, rechargeable, and +2 blessings/+2 religion) did not post them here. 😦 'cause I thought I was funny.
But I had fun watching everything y'all found.
I definitely think feeder frenzy 2-3 times per year would be a nice long term structure as it brings so much happiness in not only what you find but what others find and share. Not sure how hard it is to keep up with the item creation end but hope it returns in the somewhat near future.
Difficulty of item creation varies on the method GMs use. Some GMs (as you may have noticed) will put a bunch in with the same descriptions, some GMs will do slight variations of the same item, and some do unique items for each. I put in a little over 100 unique items in Dec and Jan to try to keep one of the feeders from being bled dry by Wyrom's feeder frenzy promise (thanks, boss 😆) and it took me awhile + someone has to QC it. But I would also be willing to do extra work like that for more than one feeder frenzy a year, personally.
I'm one of two people that does QC for the feeder, so if I put in a lot of stuff, it puts all the QC work on the other person!
(Which reminds me, everyone thank Flannihan because he does most of the Feeder QC throughout the year.)
I think it's a really good reflection of what's missing from the treasure system (per that old discussion). Feeder frenizes really do bring a lot of joy. It's silly how excited I got over a 40 charge crumbly wizard shield pin I'll never use. 😆
Well, there will always be something special about stuff someone made versus something generated by the system, for sure.
Yeah, that too, but I think it's more the sense of "oh, this box is special. It's the air of mystery I think. Like, you know pretty much what's going to be in a box: gems, silver, maybe a random treasure item. But when you get that *ding* that the box is special, I think there's just this primal release of endorphins.
I've never found one (and can't find one, as staff), so I get my endorphins from when someone acknowledges they found something. 😆
And I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's a nice warm fuzzy 🙂
More dad jokes in the next frenzy. I approve!
noted. 😆
I kept laughing about my holy holey socks by myself for a good few hours.
I love when you all find my items!
Casil - do you determine what enhancives go onto your item? Do most GMs? Or is it random?
If it's GM made, we do.
We sometimes rescue enhancives from the janitor and alter them
Ahh ok. Cause sometimes I’ve gotten fun stuff but like. Socks with influence? I kinda thought it might be premade enhancives that just get the GM touch.
Socks for the distinguished trader.
hey socks are a great enhancive slot, which i'm hoping is available for nuggeting at DR 😁
Socks are not jewelry sir
i'm hoping the *slot * is available! i don't care what they turn the item into. 😁
can be toe rings!
RIP footflowers
The non-standard slot enhancives have been my highlight of the Frenzy for sure, some very cool finds
When will the next feeder frenzy be?
the 100m made up for it
for all my kvetching about the drop rates I didn't find a single one this go around 🥲
are you all like tasked to create x number of feeder things in a given period, or is it just when the mood strikes?
The feeders are almost empty now so I wouldn't count on anytime soon. haha.
Non-Dev GMs do have a certain number we make annually, but you can also make more if you want.
I was already done my requirements for the year but did more to make sure one of the feeders didn't empty out mid-month during the Frenzy.
Welcome our new head of feeders..... GM Chad Grant Parker-Taylor, his nickname is Chad G.P.T.
I also sometimes make feeder items if I'm feeling creatively bankrupt and struggling on a main project. Then I will set myself some ridiculous rules and make a few items to get my writing juices flowing. haha.
You sense that the bangles is a magic item that holds the spell "Phoen's Strength" with 40 charges and it is not well suited for duplicating.
You detect that some narrow rose gold bangles gathered with a loop of ivory silk can be recharged to its original capacity by a merchant.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.```
Yay, one of mine. I was on a gold kick, rose, white etc.
>l tal
Fashioned mostly from solid gold, the talisman is imprinted with cryptic glyphical symbols, wrapping around a central inset. Gold claws clasp firmly onto a single large black doomstone in its center. The stone reflects as a black mirror. But from time to time the surface of the doomstone pulses, fading to a dull matte black, revealing writhing shadows within that twist and contort as if struggling to escape.

I found some fun ones on the plat side leveling an old alt
Small vermillion-hued garnet stones have been set in this anklet shaped like a scorpion. The piece's claws are primarily metallic hunks of cinnabar bound with metal, joined as a clasp to secure the anklet in place, while its tail bends away from the rest of the anklet, shining with a bright viridescent emerald at the tip of its stinger.
Found this in a feeder box in the Hinterwilds today:

It is estimated to be worth about 10,000 silvers.
It is a container with a maximum interior capacity of 100 pounds with room for any number of items.
It is predominantly crafted of cloth.```
You always seem to find things with a proper theme for HW.
>ana horn
You analyze the bull minotaur horn and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions, but the creator has stated that "There do not seem to be any specific limitations."
The creator has also provided the following information:
This is a drink container.
You get no sense of whether or not the horn may be further lightened.``` I don't see the typical alteration fodder tag, but when cool things appear in my inventory, I assume it has come from a feeder box 😎
We should be able to moo at minotaur's. Jus saying. Also, I like the drinking horn.
a hooded drab brown cloak fastened with a carved wooden doe

This to me is the best of what the lowest-tier feeder has to offer: low-impact (but still fun) enhancives in uncommon slots. I love seeing the enhancive socks, cloaks, etc. Maybe there have been belts? I can't remember.
Yes to the belts. I’ve found a couple. And I agree, some fun and useful stuff!
I lied! I thought I'd loresing to it just in case....

a midnight black velvet taosan with carved ivory buttons
LotusWear: Erithi Layered Clothing System ~ Taosan
This taosan is part of the LotusWear system and is designed to interact with an isiqiri from the same system. Your taosan is Tier 4 of 4 available tiers.
Available verbs:
pull, push, wear, remove, snuggle, tap, hug, pinch, curtsy, bow, pose, poke, twist, smell, ponder, and cover
Alteration Instructions:
The noun must stay taosan, and this is considered a formal wear item. Designs must meet those standards. Please refer to the erithi clothing documents on the wiki if you are uncertain on anything.
You can set a color, material, collar, toggle, scent, and design pattern separate from the base/long/show.
For the scent setting, it will only work at T4, and only an erithi wearing the item will know. Customized settings cannot conflict with one another. Setting these items can be done with your regular alteration. They can be more than 15 characters, but should not be excessive in length. The design pattern should be something that fits with "the XXX pattern." Example: interlocking violet-stitched lotus blossom.
As always, merchants may choose not to work on some or all of these components.
Settings:
Color: midnight black
Material: layered velvet
Pattern: embroidered orange chrysanthemum
Toggles/Buttons: carved ivory buttons
Collar: silver-threaded
Scent: cypress

fully unlocked Lotus wear cloak pretty neat
wonder if it would be worth any silvers to someone im not much of a clothing guy
well guess its a cloak lol
That's a really nice feeder find! I imagine the Erithi taosan as a sort of fantasy analog for the Japanese haori, where the exact same style overcoat is considered both casual and formal depending entirely on the materials its made of rather than any specific design feature. Fully unlocked too!
Yea for my first feeder item im pretty happy with it.. I will most likely sell it to someone that will love it in an auction just no idea what to list it for. Small chance I might still keep it but not really the theme I have going for Berean or my new bard Earit on my other account.
It's very nice, and I'm sure it would sell. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I didn't already have Myharl's Erithi outfit designed and awaiting the eventual release of Atan Irith for my planned character storyline arc of a geas to seek out a swordfather.
I love that
You remove a square-necked blueberry linen gown from in your brass strongbox.
You analyze the blueberry linen gown and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
This gown is part of the Terinan Collection of 5122.
The collection comprises multi-tier, high fashion clothing and wares, drawn from the historical archives of the Terinan family.
Wares come in two types: FORMs and ITEMs. ITEMs are divided into CATEGORIES, which correspond roughly to areas of the body.
FORMs can be worn alone, without ITEMs. ITEMs can be worn alone, without FORMs. ITEMs can be attached to FORMs to add fluff messaging to the FORM. ITEMs worn as stand-alone pieces, not on a FORM, convey no fluff messaging.
Each CATEGORY of ITEM corresponds to an area of the body that would make up part of a single overall garment. Only one ITEM per category can be applied to a FORM at a time.
FORMs can have their 15/15/15 altered. FORMs can have long descriptions. FORMs have automatic LOOK descriptions that cannot be changed.
ITEMs can have their article and adjective fields altered, but not their nouns. For items with TWO WORD nouns, the first word MUST be present as the final word in the adjective field and the second word MUST be present in the noun field. ITEMs cannot have long descriptions. ITEMs can have LOOK descriptions, but these are not visible when worn on a FORM.
To attach an ITEM to a FORM, hold both items in hand and WRAP gown.

Oh wow. Does that resist apply to your whole body?
I think just your arms.
torso armor would apply to the whole body, even if its not "full coverage". Accessories only work for their specific areas
Cool item 🙂
It is definitely a cool item. Made me think some dwarf found a strange "space" rock with weird absorbing qualities and just hammered it into a set of arm protection.
Too bad there isn't a more economical way of adding/boosting resists to armor accessories. Like grit, it should be ~66% cheaper to add resist to accessories.
Way back in the day they sold off the shelf ~25% resist accessories for cheap.

I figured maybe it's a puzzle of sorts. Honestly, I'm not sure I would normally have thought of that, but things seemed strange from the beginning because this is the first time I've found a feeder box that had additional items besides the feeder item itself...

Nice find
What slot is that worn in?
Gotta be cloak
Never say gotta be, one of my old armor concealers held as much and was enhancive
Same noun too
Sure, but
- Everything about that recall matches the default stats for cloak worn items
- We've seen several similar enhancive cloaks drop recently
- There's no precedent I'm aware of for armor concealers dropping from boxes, much less enhancive ones
Using these pieces of evidence, I'm completely confident in my deduction
I'd be more confident because they were way way looser with nouns in the past, my concealer was box found, but so long ago it's useless for modern comparison, just commenting that in GS any thing is really possible

Congrats
Nice one!!
That’s a legendary. Congratulations! It looks like one that was sold at the auction a couple of years ago. It may also have a strong enhancive attacked.
I bought the original bronze-hazed sand rat at the silver auction a couple of years ago and I’m not really stoked at it not being unique anymore but what can I do I guess. That’s a cool find, the rat is awesome and very fun and flavorful.
Wow, what? They just cloned an auction item and dropped it in the feeder? Ugh.
that’s what the legendary feeder is 😁
Is it? I thought it was "auction quality" but not "copy of an exact auction item" like this. That really cheapens it for all parties if true haha
I had a unique familiar and now I have a “unique” familiar
And obviously congrats to the person who found it, I don't mean to rain on their parade at all haha
Yeah it’s an awesome familiar and the messaging is all dope. You’re gonna love it Durgrimst congrats for sure. From memory it should also have a +10 spell aim +10 earth lore bonus enhancive on it.
That's how I felt when my legendary was a glamour that there were like 3 copies of with the plat import, it definitely felt less special.
i would be unhappy with this, too; a GM could take 15 minutes once a month to change some of the basics of the legendary item, like make it another animal, change colors, etc. so that both people feel they still have a unique item
