I first reported this on Discord a few months ago when it started happening. #game-chatter message If you log out of your PUP Tent you will log back on in Zul'Logoth. Happens every time and sends you to the same room:

The smooth walls of the tunnel give way to a small cavern utilized as an entrance to the vast network of mining tunnels under the DragonSpine.  Carts ricochet past on a double-railed metal track, stopping occasionally for brief instances to pick up passengers.  Several dwarves busily work the area, ensuring the carts travel rapidly towards their destination.  You also see a carved wooden sign and a wooden gate.

I have also submitted a bugitem report in game.

This happened just recently to me as well. Logged out inside a pop up tent in landing and wake up in Zul as well. Assisted & Reported waited an hour no one so I paid 200k to get both my characters back

? Whats a regular one? The only tent script I'm aware of is Pup Tents

So, I've run into this issue, and want to note that it's not just "I logged out for a long period of time", it's instantaneous. Which means if you get disco'd in HW, you're SOL for a while. Which is a serious problem if someone's not there to pick up your tent for you.

I know it's already being looked at, and hope that this helps.

In all cases my tent has ended up back in janitor recovery list.

But yup, its an insta port

and disconnect or quit command doesn't seem to matter.

Sometimes a GM is available to teleport you back...but not always.

Also, as I understand it, after 20 minutes your tent collapses...then you have 5 minutes to get it...then ANYONE can pick it up - you just have to HOPE it's the janitor that gets it so you can recover it easily.

In its collapsed state (example - a collapsed blue canvas tent), it will be safe for 5 minutes where only the owner can can collect it. After the 5 minute window, 'it is subject to normal loss mechanics' including the janitor or being picked up by another player.```
I have asked Vanah to consider changing that to make it so NO ONE can pick up a collapsed tent except the owner or the janitor...but I don't think any changes have been made. The first time someone's 100m+ tent gets picked up by another player who doesn't return it is going to be some drama. 😦

Vanah changed them a few months ago to remove the "anyone can pick it up" phase. At this point, there should be no valid path for losing a tent other than just not getting it from the recover list. People CAN loot any of the ejected contents though. Link: #duskruin message

One of these days, a GM is going to look at one of these and say, "forget it, too hard to fix: I bless this as an ok way to travel."

This is great!! I am more than willing to just ignore the travel expenses just knowing this is fixed is enough for me. 😍

Sorry to report but logging out in my tent sent my friend to River's Rest.

[Cooper's Shack - 18678] (u2104125)
This tiny shack is littered with tools of the cooper's trade, including mallets, planes, and sand paper. A small pile of tapered and beveled oak staves sits in one corner of the floor, while a random collection of metal hoops lies in the other. A small fire burns in a pit at the center of the shack, its smoke winding past an empty rack as it rises through a small hole in the ceiling. You also see an inordinate quantity of straw, a few large barrels and a disheveled half-elf.

[Tattered Tent - ]
The black canvas comprising the walls are threadbare, allowing glimpses of the outside through particularly tattered portions.  Poorly sewn patches do little to remedy the dilapidated state of the tent.  The permeating smell of mildew is abated somewhat by the breeze that the walls provide little protection from, and the splintering wooden framework threatens to impale anyone who brushes against it.  Hanging from the tent poles above is an unlit dark silver lantern.  You also see a tall cylindrical can and a rolled-up tent flap.

Okay....I think I figured it out. Another GM had manually edited some room settings so it wasn't a script issue...but that should now be resolved. I've updated the script so that if the tent hasn't yet fallen, you can log back in inside the tent. And the tent should hopefully no longer eat things that could be placed but are just on the ground.

looks to be working perfectly - no flaws whatsoever!

You can log out and log back into the tent - or if the tent gets picked up and you log back in, you end up in the same room where the tent used to be.

You could cram more than the allotted number of people in if you juggle logins but that's extra work for everyone

I did introduce and fix another bug. All instances should hopefully be synced and fixed now.
