No - it only makes alcoholic things. You can make really really weak alcohol (I think the weakest would be to have "beer" or some of the lighter brews at the weakest strength setting.) It'll make you drunk just slower.

The trove is amazing for handling raffles. Being able to store the item, have it up for preview, and then deliver it is very, very nice.

A 9 hour auction with 1 item per account does seem like it would become....very limited as to who could even bid towards the end. This split method seems smarter. And it makes me feel less disadvantaged as a single account holder.

Well the items on my list aren't new information. It's just a factor. And then people not liking the limit is a factor. And the time it takes to get all this done is a factor. And then a few things mentioned to me about some unrelated concerns is a factor. It's not so much winging it, it's just trying to appease crowds and trying to remedy concerns. I've had a few GMs already reach out about splitting it up because it would be going too late.

I think I mentioned this a few times across threads/channels, but there won't really be a lot of services. There are some delayed wins because you get to customize it or it might require one of your items, but it's not many things. It's a lot of new creations. A lot of fun items. Our newest class of GSL students got to make some cool stuff. I think it will be a good time. Sorry if it feels like we change a lot midway, but we try to have a reactive stance for the better.

It was about how much I spend in Gemstone and how only 1k out of 7k give or take goes directly to Simu because I can't compete for items here and just go via the secondary market.(shrug) I'd rather most of if not all of it went to them. I just don't see an answer though. I'll enjoy watching what goes out though and keep my eye peeled for something I can run down later via the usual route.

It'll be interesting essentially knowing all of the details for many of the items well ahead of the RoL auction. Like if we know multiple copies (or near copies) of Wyrom's items are coming out at both places, I wonder how the values will be impacted after players get a chance to test Sunday's items out in the wild for a month. I honestly have no idea! My instinct is that they'll be lower priced this time around, but it could go either way.

Great move to split the auctions into two - I'm like Leafiara in that I could also have fun slogging it out for 9 hours, but if I was only allowed to buy one thing in 9 hours I might just bid early and save myself a headache.

I don't think there's any reason to believe it will. Wyrom's comments made it seem like the plan was to divide the items evenly across both auctions, so that shouldn't be a problem. It may be the case that the prices are, on average, higher at one or the other, but I'm not sure it's obvious which that'll be. My speculation is that the price on low-end items will be lower at the first auction and higher at the second (people with lots of silvers won't have any reason to bid on the lower-end items at auction 1, but they might at auction 2), while the price on high-end items will be higher at the first auction and lower at the second (for sort of the opposite reason). But that's all speculation.

I really think the two-auction plan is a great two-birds-one-stone solution: the auctions will be shorter, and both sides of the unlimited/one per account debate win.

I miss the old wagon merchants that would pull up unannounced and sell awesome gear. Today I was thinking about it and wondered if it would be possible to make some player shops mobile (wagons). I thought it might make a neat auction idea but I'm not sure if there would be a big demand. Food for thought.

The random, unannounced merchants are something I'm a fan of, but the majority community is not. Especially when we're talking high end stuff. Granted the wagons of yesteryear aren't very high end (there are some odd properties that would make them desired here and there).

As for moving player shops around, it's not possible. They have to be housed in a specific area. We have talked about an idea where you can have a bag of some sort where anything in it is for sale. Players could browser your inventory in the bag and purchase stuff without you interacting. But the concern is encouraging a bunch of people sitting around not interacting, which is against our game design. Having a designated area for it would solve it, but then it would be a whole lot of having to check each person's inventory isn't very fun. So building a more robust system would be needed, and we're right back to player shops.

One idea we floated around in Shattered was a random door that migrates around the game randomly selling high end gear, but you need to find it, pay to enter, and can only make one purchase. This was when Solomon was here.

My humble opinion: With all the scripts and unlimited adds, claidhmores arent as OP as they once were. Some people like items to feel more complete and ensorcelling it only once is really annoying and sad. For example I have four weapons total and only one is ensorcelled more than once. Its okay to ensorcel it to T5, it wont break the game, and as is, its not all that power wise. Please ?

Yep, and like, I’m cool with the way it is. Some extra DS and flares that won’t save me is mostly for completion purposes. I’d pay thousands, but the cost/benefit is too high for me in the state that it is. It’s mostly a mention of the state of things in the event that the powers that be weren’t aware of such situations, as solutions could be lucrative at auctions. Until then I’ll have a little less defense than I normally would. Oh no…

At the risk of pushing this further off-topic...

I understand the desire for difficult choices when it comes to gear. It's good that I can't have animal + briar + coraesine relic on my weapon. I have a harder time when the choice is obviated by proper sequencing, e.g. in the case of Lormaek's armor, if he was starting from scratch, he could easily have S6 plus everything else he has. Suffusion was a wonderful addition to the game for this reason, imo, but obviously there are still edge cases like this. I'm not sure what the solution is - in this case maybe a legacy GUB will be available at auction one day.

To be honest, I think the next wave of GS-economics would be to sell specialty unlocking/creation powers to whales to let them become the new "merchant class" over the masses.
