#Invoker Request

As an east coast morning/daytime player, I was hoping we could get some equality with invoker availability. Either every 2 hours for 12x/day, or changing the current schedule to a 3hr rotation for 8x visits per day.

Another thought would be an invoker shop in each town, possibly charging silvers with free access x/day depending on subscription tier(1x/day prime, 2x/day premium, unlimited platinum) or citizenship(additional 1x/day in city of citizenship). Could even seperate the spell groups so people could get spells they cannot cast themselves.

Anyone agree, or have some thoughts to expand this idea?

I've never gotten why they just didn't come every two hours a day, twenty four seven if they're going to so in the evening.

It use to do this. For reasons the powers that be know they scaled it back.

I think the invoker came about to provide more spells to a larger population of players specifically to test or gather data pertaining to an issue. It's kind of stuck around past that but I think it was said it would eventually go away all together. It was never rolled out in shattered or platinum.

I wouldn't be opposed to the shop idea, 5k wizard spell up, 5k cleric, 5k ranger/paladin/monk, or 12.5k for all. I can see 500k-1m silver being drained daily.

I've been hearing about the whole "its gonna go away" the whole last two years since returning. Not sure what going away really means in regards to the Invoker. heh

The invoker was a response to a player provided spell up (dreavenings) which the powers blamed for performance issues when they were happening, you would get upwards of 100+ people in the same room at the same time for these. On at least one occassion a dreavening actually crashed the game May 26, 2016 https://gswiki.play.net/Dreavenings.
This was never rolled out in Plat/shattered because it was a problem specific to prime.
I doubt the invoker will disappear at anytime in the future unless simu has corrected the performance issues that dreavenings caused, as the removal of the invoker would just see the population return to its previous behavior of using Dreavenings and Alts to provide full spell ups for themselves.
But yes I would like it to go back to every 2 hours as a primarily morning est player

personally, while I find the invoker helpful, I strongly dislike the fact that almost no one needs help with spells anymore - I think it's overall detrimental to the game to have constant access to every spell (less player interaction and content too easy) and would like to see a middle-ground solution.

I honestly don't see it as an issue. I'm an east coast player as well and it is easy enough to hop on around the times that the invoker is around to get some spells if need be and then be on your merry way. I know myself and others are often available to help with spells in between the times that the invoker shows up. All it takes is a quick request on help and you will have responses related to a spellup.

Idike a better time rotation myself. I'm a morning hunter a d it's 4hrs between Invoker, but evening gets it 2hrs, very unfair...lol
Now I still see a lot of peeps asking for spells, I died, missed invoker, or my favorite can I get a disk..that's usually me...

Make the Invoker GREAT again!!!!

I wouldn't mind an invoker shop, granting 24/7 access with x/day free spellup for citizens or subscribers. Its current state reduces availability during off peak hours. More people play at night, meaning night time has more availability for player provided spells, compared to the daytime.

I personally don't like a system that makes somebody so dependent on outside spells that they're willing to create alts just for spells and I think the invoker has kind of leveled a playing field a bit.....to be clear I think some player dependence is cool but the gap between spelled up and not is huge....whether you HAVE to have it or not is debatable but then you don't have to do 70 on the interstate....you will eventually arrive doing 35.

Little known fact? When using the invoker, it overrides self cast lore benefits.
When I have my mage use the invoker I have to dismiss my disk and stop 503 509 414 and 911 and recast for full benefits.

For my ranger I recast 618 and 611, etc
