Avaluka is a GM I admire and respect for her uniquely creative items but sadly she is busy doing other wonderful things for GemStone so I will be the dwarf guru for now!

I'm interested in exploring the role dwarves have played in Elanthia, the rich diversity of the clans and how they interact, and their place in world affairs.

I'd love to get more perspectives on the subject so don't be shy. Post away!

There has been an absolute travesty inflicted on dwarven-kind that much be corrected post-haste! Pride is not an option for grunting, much to the detriment of dwarves everywhere. How are dwarven warriors supposed to grunt proudly at their weapons without it being either a tone or a style?

I once played in a D&D game where the party was traversing down a dwarven mineshaft after a while of travel it became very dusty and difficult to breathe in. An inquiry was asked of the DM “how can the dwarves stay here and work when we can’t even breathe?”

The DMs response became canon in all games moving forward. Dwarves fold their beards up over their mouth and nose acting as a mask to filter out the particles before entering their lungs.
Can we get a verb to fold our beards to prevent breathing in certain attacks? Akin to 207 (purify air).

Suggestion would be 20-30 second buff with a 5 minute cooldown. Both hands empty. “Quickly sheathing your weapon you reach for your beard, elaborately folding it over top of your mouth and nose, long strands wrapping around to the back of your head and tied in a quick knot.. it should hold, but for how long?”

Interesting idea! Racial abilities are something that would be fun to explore for all the races. We don't have any plans to do that at this time but that does not mean we can't have fun spit-balling ideas about it!
