Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the game, just past 400h. 150 was waiting on villagers and another 150 for recovering from dragon rebellions. Ive tried a few clans; Stag, Ox, Dragon, Owl, Eagle, Hound, Squirrel and now Lynx. I think I have landed on Lynx. I have a small friend group, we just play against normal bots sometimes throw a hard or 2 in. Im fairly decent, I understand Lynx probably to an intermediate level right now. I have been going to forums and YT videos but not unexpectedly, not much content. If theres any Lynx enjoyers that are down to chat. I'd like to learn more on how to convert earlier than 04 lol, we struggle with scouting early. so maybe some scouting tips beyond just keep scouting bro.
#Lynx Enjoyers?

Larsman lynx guide is very good for new players you can check it out in yt
Agreed yeah! He has great content and have been following his guides for all the clans I've tried. I think my issue is when things arent lining up and I have to pivot or recover. Scenarios where I dont have access to a ruin or shipwreck early and someone else took the streamer luck for tiles. Like I can looks at good tiles and know my plan for the next year or 2. But when I see multiple bad tiles, I make a plan and its a coinflip if it was right and then I end up stockpiling until 04 lol.
i would say lynx is very flexible and you dont need a good spawn to make it work. you can clear everyone without even getting your chief up if there is no other alternative, as cats are quite strong on their own. (with correct timings you should have chief up for clearing second teammate anyway)
Only issues you can rly get is going right tree to early and than just draugrs being everywhere and the other hard scenario which dont rly impact you, but your teamates is if you run into big unskippable tiles (4-5 draugrs or 6 wolfs/foxes). those are clearable in the long run, but just skip tile, but in ideal world you teamate should try to self clear 1 small tile, so you can skip your tile and do it later on).
I'm not rly sure what you are describing as good and bad tiles (in terms of already owning them) as in reality its quite whatever whats on them. you should always try to plan to leave 1 tile space empty on each of them for archery ranges, quite few of tiles will end up having 1 house, and than you just have 2x standard lures, 2x woodcutters and 2x docs to fit in (and in some games altar).
Go to Twitch - search the channel of a guy called "Feuerson". Everyone agrees he is the best Lynx player in northgard by far. Just play a couple of games and copy what he does.
🔥
tbh you wanna clear swamp with 3 ranged draugres, not run through
for carpentry build upgrading woodcutters ( especially if its in forest) is often better than building second
Concede
From my expirience there is nothing like carpentry build on lynx.
You have 2 ways of playing it its either economy lynx or full mid lynx that make transition to eco lynx later on
So its either 2 top into 4 mid or 4 mid into 2 top
Depending on matchup
Then you can 2 bottom or pick rest of the middle
And its mainly because vs hound or wolf you cant rush stone eco
An currently no one plays eagle xD
I would say best way to currently play lynx is (vs other lynx play greedy 2 top 4 mid go 60% relations make altar play trading post/s)
And (vs aggresive clear 4 mid into 2 top make 60% relations play for trading post/s And skip altar)
Only exception from trading posts is when owl can give you shipbuilding early
