Aaaaaaah
You are not planning properly my friend 😂

When playing as any clan, you need to prep to have some military capacity and having a bit of money in the bank so that you can quickly recruit soldiers

You don’t need a particularly large army, just a few so that you can quickly repel any invaders

Why are we upgrading tiles

#

The easiest way to waste all your gold is upgrading tiles Sheep

#

Only a few clans do it regularly, and that is because they have special boosts for it

#

The clans that don’t have special boosts do it even more rarely, in very specific scenarios

well i dont have enough place for houses and food things so i have to upgrade them

proven oyster
#

Take more tiles

#

Plan your build a bit better and you will have space for everything

timber forge
#

isnt it more costy?

proven oyster
#

You tell me

#

The problem you’re having is no money

timber forge
#

yea thats the problem i dont really have a build, i expand as much as i can and i need food and houses and happiness

proven oyster
#

Where did the money go? Into tiles

#

So maybe spending it into tiles isn’t the best way

timber forge
#

i expand because i dont have space for army buildings

#

if i conquer 1 tile i can only put 1 army building

timber forge

no i dont play dragon i got theb asic ones i play some stag, bear, lynx and i got owl rn

#

id like to learn owl seems fun

proven oyster
#

Stag and Lynx have no issues gobbling up half the map

timber forge
#

but the guardian is so expensive

proven oyster
#

Neither does owl tbh

timber forge
#

mh idk is hardto clear tiles with owl i have to wait long time for iron to get chieftain

proven oyster
#

The only clan I will play in solo is Eagle

proven oyster
#

Otherwise in a team game that isn’t 5 gp you will get cleared by someone else on owl

#

On stag and owl everything will get cleared

timber forge
#

mh i see

proven oyster
#

On bear all your second ring will get cleared

#

You hire the bear and self clear first ring easily, then heal on fish, then help the clear by tanking for him with the big fat bear

timber forge
#

i like owl seems very nice and strong tbh , i dont know wich clan is for me yet i been trying some, i was tempted to try horse

proven oyster
#

You may try horse if you want, but you may be disappointed

timber forge
#

oh then iwont waste my money on it

#

i did try raven is kinda easy u make victory from trade

proven oyster
#

Horse is probably the worst clan in the game right now

#

You might like how it plays, but the potential isnt there

#

Up to you

If you like Lynx I can recommend Larsman Guide to get the basics down, it’s not fully updated but most principles still hold, specifically to get you started:

Also, as many have pointed out generally speaking you avoid upgrading tiles with basic clans and most clans in general. Ox clan and others have Lore or fame bonuses that make upgrading tiles a thing because it’s either cheaper or they will benefit from it or even both.

Other tips (again generally speaking) are:

  • don’t build things unless you do need them, making a lots of buildings will eat your krowns, every building consumes krowns because they have upkeep.

  • for clearing the first tiles convert small, usually 2 axe throwers are more than enough to clear a lot, specially if you get chief out, in the case of Lynx you’ll learn you can have 3 chief out pretty fast and kill everything with auto heal on the go.

  • if you converted a lot of army and for any reason you’re not using it convert them back asap so they can work your eco, idle army usually eats your economy too.

# timber forge Hi, i always find myself with upgraded tiles full, and i get attacked but i got ...

I think you are expanding way too much. 30-40 Pop is only viable with a few clans like stoat or boar. with Lynx for example I have 21 or 23 Pop in may 802 and enough gold to convert 9 archers and have my hero and cats. if you have 30 Pop a lot of your people are just there to maintain the other people (food, wood, krowns and also happiness!!). so you might just say they are useless. 4 hunters, 1 woodcutter, 1 sailor is all you need too sustain as Lynx as long as it's not winter yet. also you can go to negative resources as long as you have saved up on resources. of course after converting your army you are on a clock but as the attacker your job is to close out the game now. some clans like wolf or snake have ways to use less resources the more army you have. To come back to your building problem, less pop means less houses and resource buildings and therefore more space for military buildings 😄

#

Addition: even with eco clans like Goat you might want to limit your population. Goat can attack in Sep 801 with Hero/Bodyguard + 8 Units even if you are playing Solo. Population needed = 18 (2 Houses + upgraded Townhall)
