the project "bird" is just incredibly weaker than the project "ship" ? all you have is food downsides for just a food upside to "compensate" for those downsides, so no edge compared to other clans. But ships imply that with 2 coasts, you can have 8 guys of gold that self sustain themselves and the clan, and you're full of gold for an early convert
