I can't open Calamity Mod chests.

I can't open calamity mod chests like abyss chests, draedon labs chests etc. I right click on them and can't open them but if I try to destroy them they drop the chest and when I place it it appears empty.
Something that I think may have caused the problem is that a few days before, I used an app called "Tedit" with the sole purpose of changing the difficulty from expert mode to master mode. Since then we realized that we were having these problems with the chests. Is there any way I can fix this problem?

as you have noted, Tedit is not compatible with modded and will remove all modded chest data among other things, there is no fix besides using a world backup from before using Tedit

For future refernce other mods should be used to change difficulty (such as fargos mutant) or to world edit (heros mod/dragonlens)

Oh, I see, I guessed that. Thank goodness we made a backup before using Tedit, but I wanted to make sure there might be another solution. Thanks for your help, we will use the heros mod.

yeah, unfortunately the only real solution is to load a backup, that or just get all chest loot from a second world

Neither are very convinient, but it's good you noticed fairly early
