We have made a lot of progress in prehardmode. After beating the Perforator Hive, we just can't play because the server shuts down and says "Lost connection" while my friend is joining. I really don't know what's causing this.

No, it first freezes, then after a few seconds of not being able to chat, interact with npcs (you can still move), it kicks me and says "Lost connection" and of course, my friend returns to the main menu because the server shutdown itself.
This problem began when we defeated the Perforator Mind

Try killing Perforators in a different world, but with only Calamity enabled
