This bug just makes the star of destruction fire 2 projectiles while acting like I threw it once, it does a stupid amount of dmg to worm bosses like deus, I haven't seen this bug with any other rogue weapon

I think there might be a mod conflict here; during beta testing I never had it clockwork and Nohitters who used it with that never got SoD to clockwork either

SoD is known to be crazy on Deus indeed, especially with the big boosts glove of precision grants

Make a new world with only Calamity enabled and check if it still fires two at once

I disabled all mods but calamity (and calam music ) and made a new world, but it still fires two at once
