Well phm you use musket or meteor. Pre plantera is crystal (hallow point for ammo changers), and then dryad's tear/chlorophyte/the permafrost one until ML. Then you use the providence ones, then godslayer slugs. That is like 1/3 of the bullets in the game

the other 2/3 are genuinely useless

Other than explosive+grape beer but I think thats a bug

Arrows is even worse. You go unholy->Hellfire-> Plantera ones/Venom (none of the pre plantera bows are worth using other than holofibre immolator), Providence ones, godslayer

like 1/5 of all the arrows

part of that is because 95% of all hardmode bows are straight trash, so arrow effectiveness is just irrelevant
