I'd say, to make the given area of free movement intuitive and not just "hey here's the area dipshit", there should be a subtle purple particle that starts from the player and moves towards CV, and then when you get further away from CV the particle starts generating more and moves a bit more frantically

they didn’t remove that aspect when they made it not move at all
so it’s literally always going to hover to your right side at the start of the fight

Alright then, let me state all the possible improvements on this loadout, assuming this is like, what, post 2 mechs?

Terraspark boots to fairy boots. Calamity buffs the shit out of them, makes them extremely good defensively, and gives them better movement than terraspark themselves, I believe.

Summoner emblem is also bad, in general. 15% damage really ain't it for summoner, I assure you. I'd much rather use something like radiant ooze, or ankh shield, or giant tortoise shell, or ornate shield.

Personally I'd also use another one of those over jelly charged battery, but that's more personal taste

Reforge wise, you can really just go for warding, or invigorating.

Armor wise, after 2 Mechs you unlock Daedalus, and after 1 mech, squire. Daedalus is a bit worse, offensively, but it's tankier. And squire is extremely good in defense, and sentries are surprisingly good offensively too.

Now, I know you said you're pre plant now, but I truly believe this sort of change can be made to your current loadout. I'd be glad to help you figure out any possible improvements, or ways to make them better, if you wish. But it's your own game, so do as you will.
