Lucky and menacing give on average the same damage boost unless you're at really really high crit chance already

But since there's more damage% from armor and accessories than crit%, the crit% from lucky is overall a bit better

Obviously some weapons have different preferences but the point still stands

from what i remember, Lucky boosts the % chance to add +100% to your damage, while Menacing just boosts your damage

Yes, it's almost as if that's also a test based on a single enemy with a single weapon without an actual loadout with damage% boosts already present, and his DPS test against empress used a summoner/mage hybrid, which uses minions, which he does indeed mention when saying menacing is better than lucky in the pinned comments below.

Btw even if calamity does have high defense targets, which it does, it also has quite a lot of higher base damage weapons, which make the defense less impactful.

I am not saying shyguymask is absolutely wrong, but that test is rather inconclusive and at odds with actual loadout tests performed in calamity by the community.
