because right now there isn’t that much
the player is stronger, but the boss needs to be stronger to cvompensate, so everything is stronger

your wing choice prior was never determined by what the wings did as wings it was all determined by the damage boosts they gave

Idk if this is a good idea, but would it be valuable to make specifically boss drop items weaker than ones you have to grind for after the boss to encourage grinding but still not require it? Like you could go mine and farm to make the next boss easier, but you can still win if you are goated without it

there is major content bloat for having too many choices for weapons at almost all stages of the game
i would have defended "combat wings" if they did anything other than pump up player stats

Every item now gives you a 300% damage modifier that will be balanced around by giving bosses a 300% damage reduction when you have that modifier
They're accessories meant to focus on mobility

There does need to be some tweaks here and there (particularly earth death mode bosses deal too little damage, but some later ones like dog deal too much) but overall it's around the same as before
And dosen't really make much sense with their role
wings already inherently have combat boosts in them because They're John Mobility Accessory they dont need a chaser of 3% damage 7% crit
and its very obivious that many hardmode and post ml bosses are balanced around having wings

- First of all, different wings provide you several different aesthethics for the wings you're gonna use, given you most likely will end up using some of them. There is a vanity aspect to it
- Secondly, knowing that, there are several different obtainment methods for different wings based on different npcs, biomes, materials, etc. This means you can "pick and choose" whatever you find to be the best for you at any given point of progression, some harder-to-get wings may have better flight stats but not be nearly as accessible, plus some of the easier ones may work as good stepping stones for until you can get those better ones
- Some wings do actually have unique properties, and these generallly end up as some of the hardest to get ones, like betsy or fishron wings, making them stand out from the others
There is a meaning in having so many different wing types
You don't need a stat stick ontop to validate their existence
none at all, it was all visuals. theres a bunch of genuinely decent bosses in cal that everyone says are dogshit but theyre really 6/10s with 2/10 presentation

You swing back and forth with gravity or your momentum like you're on a swing to go fast. Its also really good at wing resetting since the hook doesn't pull you towards it, is really fast, and has good range.

I do think that having some fodder enemies is actually a good thing for terraria's game design - Grinding is a fairly big aspect fo it, and having to grind through super complex or challenging enemies would get in the way of that

atleast a few more complex enemies thrown in the mix - Perhaps some rarer ones or ones in a few selected biomes that are intended to be harder/more dangerous

Depends on what I'm playing. Mage i can get through in about 18 hours on infernum. Melee is a little bit longer. Ranger I think it's closer to 40. I haven't actually played bard or healer before so it's much harder to progress. Along with the wiki thing I'm in for the long haul. My guess is 50-60 hours
But with how death mode is going it's gonna be fucking 70 hours trust
