funny enough, the new background seems to render behind tiles, not quite nitrate has a bug(or maybe an intended feature) where all tiles that are completely black get culled i think, so you can take peeks at the background

I was having this conversation with the friends I'm playing the pack with currently. They're very much just here for the bosses, but I actually enjoy the... everything else about the mod (and terraria itself). I enjoy the hours spent building stuff while they're offline, almost moreso than the bosses. I think it's fine to only care about the bosses, but do that with mods outside of calamity. LuiAFK/fargo exist and you're allowed to use them, but I still dislike them and won't use them in my solo playthroughs
