I think my idea would generally just mean more interesting gameplay while not only making mana flower an option (sacrificing damage for ease of use) but also making it distinct from other classes (more of a burst damage, on and off attacking class)

Probably, since coloring them manually would be painful, and I think there is a coloring system coded into the bar itself. For example it has a sprite with desaturated colors and then custom ones are added via changing color codes in the file. Though I'm not sure how it might exactly look like
