My problem with a lot of cal weapons is that they don't really feel big, they're just really upscaled through giant sprites. It's like if you had a katana that is built like a normal katana but is 5 meters long without any adjustments to its design

Excalibur and true Excalibur are "true melee" too but they have a smart way or increasing the hitbox instead of being over the top giant enormous
the main problem i have with miracle matter weapons is that they.. generally dont fit the character's size at all. This problem is fixed (from what ive seen) with a certain weapon in the trailer for 2.1, where the weapon is just absurdly big but has an actual animation instead of being held by however the terrarian holds miracle matter weapons
also the visuals are kinda.. weird on them
they're more of the early calamity stage than what calamity's current vfx looks like

I personally like dashs. I think they are a fun/good mechanic. I think it's impossible to have a state of the game where dashes still feel good but also aren't a mandatory accessory (they aren't mandatory now but ยฏโ \โ \_โ (โ ใโ )โ _โ /โ ยฏ)
It's really funny actually how important dashes are to Calamity's design considering vanilla has 3 dashes, and 1 is expert only and another is endgame, leaving only a single vanilla dash available to any player that is actually meant to be used in progression
And even in base game I held that dash till the end. I have always liked dashs tbh
They ARE good, it's just a lot more expensive to invest in movement to compensate for skipping a dash for most of the game
Then again, the dash shield line is getting nerfed
Losing out on most of its debuff immunities
