I feel like the solution to the exos feeling bad is ultimately to acknowledge that the exos are a combination of 3 bosses. Thanatos doesn't need to be as interesting as DoG, because Thanatos shouldn't fight alone. The structure of the Exo fight rn forces the design of the Exos to make every one of them distinctly fun to fight alone, which just isn't reasonable imo. They should be greater than the sum of their parts, not 3 nerfed bosses plugged together into a single fight.
