many of the new sprites are overly rendered for my taste, i think they are far too detailed for terraria's good, the shading is far too harsh, the high detail looks great on a surface level but there ends up being pretty much nothing interesting about the sprite in the end. take the SSO weapon resprites listed in the upcoming content doc for example, everything just feels. samey. it's all so round and smooth and has none of the roughness that i fell in love with calamity for
