As it stands right now, I think the current sprite for desert scourge is the most polished/best sprite we have seen so far. Yeah, I know the spoiler sprites are unfinished or censored, but it’s spoiler looks profoundly unsatisfying in its current state. Almost all of the other sprites for SSO are so much more polished or visuality interesting. Even the ones that aren’t have a coherent design and seem to fit in with the others. Desert scourge seems uniquely underwhelming, and all of the sprites that I was excited for got scrapped. I hope he can at least hold on to the quality he currently has.

the distinction is misleading at best. imagine thinking "oh i get a lot of blade hits with my exoblade so i should use this item that increases true melee damage over something else" but actually it doesnt do anything at all because of a fucky definition.

it's more fun than it sounds, it's a setup type character. also there's more tech that makes it interesting, like you can slam a sword into another stuck sword to dislodge it for a ton of damage

instead of just throwing a sword, tachi has like an anti gravity sword that floats following the cursor

holding left click pins it in place and releasing shoots it in the opposite direction of the cursor

plus upgrades do fun stuff, like the harpoon one lets you stick enemies together
