- magic is the only weapon type exos don't drop, it should get a weapon (yes this fits, because there are PLENTY of examples of magic guns all across the mod). every class gets 2 weapon drops from exo mechs, except for mage.
- thanatos has no weapons that reflect its big gimmick: huge fucking laser. you could have thanatos drop a giant laser weapon directly, or maybe some special upgrade item that lets you upgrade SHPC to exo tier (this is thematic because SHPC uses a special item to craft it in the first place, and it used to be a legendary weapon dropped by the Destroyer, who Thanatos is a callback to). this could also be a fun way to mirror Rancor, which would be created via the alternate path of fighting scal instead.
- alternatively, since exo twins are the only exo mech with 2 weapons instead of 3, maybe have them drop some kind of magic weapon.
