Uhh the way i thought it works is that the auric is held in a small box thing on a belt where a sturdy metal rod is pushed to contact with it, rejecting the rod and causing electricity to flow through it to the armour
The rod will eventually wear out from the constant rejection and has to be replaced by another
The electricity flows to another thing on the belt that cools/resists the power so that it doesnt go overboard and auric springlock the user
The electricity then goes to a super cool conductive fiber thing that the user wears under the armour (the armour plates itself on top are mock auric) that lets the user control the electricity but doesnt actually let the rejection touch the user (although it’s prototype so gotta be careful lmfao)

To preface

Dragons ruled over earth for a long time, yes

They were the dominant species

but that does not necessarily mean they were fully benevolent. We know not all dragons were good guys. Yharim tells you they were because he's incredibly biased and sees thing purely in black and white - Gods bad, Dragons good. But in reality it's far more nuanced than that

Also another thing to note - Gods, as previously said, were not a organized group of individuals working together. While the Dragons had a king that ruled over them, Gods were all mostly independent from eachother. Think of each god that ruled a specific kingdom or area as the leader of a nation - They are fully independent, but may partner or oppose another nation if they choose to.

There was no "Leader" to the gods. And due to this, different gods would have vastly different goals and motives - And, ultimately, some of them would be cruel and ruthless, as seen with Providence, while others would be caring and benevolent, as seeen with Otonilou, the deceased goddess of Electricity, that ruled over Illmeris, a underwater city which used to be in the Sunken Sea, before being destroyed.
