Either way, keeping things in the air is clearly not a concern for him
even the hallowed mechs can fly
though not sure how much of that chalks up to the souls
and how much to the robots themselves
FUCK YOU
Fuck YOU
wait does aureus not fly?
Stupid dumb robot can't even fly ๐
yes
I swear I've seen them fly
can YOU fly?
didn tthink so
dumass
Yes
no they stayed in the air
proof?
Look out your window
i see pigeons
Yes
is that you
That's me
you a stupid pigeon?
I'm a SMART pigeon
oxymoron
carrier pigeon

am i a dumb pigeon
no you're space
yharim's cousin is dagoth ur
oh my god yharim is literally dagoth ur
he's literally fucking dagoth ur it makes so much sense now
what because of the racism?
Lore
literally dagoth ur
Was silva an earth elemental? I saw some people say it but I tried looking anywhere and didn't find any information about that
She was the elemental of life
elemental of nature*
Sand is the earth elemental
Thx
aureus was a bot he sent to like research to astral infection, but the infection took over aureus, is that right?
i use the word bot lightly
one of the thingamabobbies he made
kinda crazybrazy that astral infection can take over technology
i mean, how does that even work!?
idk if thats true, its what i heard from many diff videos, but its youtube so idk.
i know he sent it there for some purpose of collecting i think
lets go i was right
So there are ocean, ice, life, earth, sand, brimstone, and cloud elementals
There are three elementals who just boil down to "rocks n shit"
And three elementals that just boil down to "water and shit"
Ice elementals don't count... I think
Earth elemental is a fake elemental
Sand is the real Earth elemental
what abt the cooler sand elemental
What tf is earth elemental then?!?
robot
There are 5 real elementals:
Brimstone, sand, cloud, water, life
Still, cloud is just worse water elemental
another sand elemental i think
We need a tetracarbon disulphate elemental
in terms of the lore
Nature* smh....
how big of a deal really is the fight againt calamitas
plant matter
for calamitas? its a huge step
and the terrarian is a huge deal by the time they kill moon lord, let alone all the other things stronger than it
can i eat moon lord after i kill him
like can i eat him like calamari
fried moon lord rings
calsad
did parts of the song influence the calamitas fight or vice versa
cuz theres many similarities
or did dmdokuro just cook that hard

there should be in-game newspapers that gets issued everytime you kill a major boss that just glazes the Terrarian and talks about how cool and awesome they are
the lyric "your mental fortitude is fading" is the vulnerability hex debuff tooltip for calamitas, very cool connection

i mean thats kinda what lantern nights are
oh yeah right
we just need the town npcs to be like "wow you're so awsome for killing moonlord hell yeah"
and then have them bow down for you
no i don't have a saviour complex
you get that in the credits
i tink u do
I dont think thats legal
the tink is above legality
way before the fight
she quit a couple years before the terrarian shows up
because he told her to go kill her stepdad
(he being yharim)
perma, right?
ye
and she just trapped him in the cryogen
or well
made the cryogen
but the if she was free
whyd she fight the terrarian
it's not explained in-game because old dialogue but she thinks we're another yharim
and she wants to stop us while she can
the fight ends because she realizes we're not as bad as the genocidal warmonger
that makes a lot of sense
but i lwk feel bad for yharim cuz like
isnt he literally guiding you to kill him
he's guiding you to FIGHT him
through your journey
he doesn't want to die
i thought he did?
he's willing to accept death, because he can carry the torch to the next strongest mortal
the thing about yharim is that he is a really charismatic guy
and so he thinks he can convince you to continue the crusade where he gave up
ok wait
whether he's right is ultimately up to the player though
i watched something that said smth completely different
that yharim was guiding the terrarian to kill him because he wanted to die at the terrarians hand, cuz he regretted what hed done
well you see
there's another side to yharim being charismatic and a good manipulator
he has the rizz
he managed to trick a ton of actual people that he's a fallen hero who became evil over time
like irl people
players
people defending the point that he was good?
yes
Yharim ain't do nun wrong
without insight of other characters, you could easily assume that his idea was righteous, that gods are all evil and the dragons were benevolent
despite that definitely not being the case
but if hes guiding you to fight him
what would he do if the terrarian died at his hand?
im seeing a big plot hole there
prove himself as the truly strongest mortal
ah
if he can defeat an anomaly that grew in strength much faster than he did, he's truly the strongest
protip
maybe he'd die satisfied, maybe he'd try to kill xeroc again
anomaly?
every single yt video on the lore sucks ass
anomaly because well
the terrarian, despite being an OC, is really damn weird
draedon points it out
they're all either outdated or insert the creator of the video's (often wrong) personal biases as if they were fact
they're unique
old lore or yhapaganda. call it
draedon wasnt expecting the terrarian to kill the exomechs, right?
or sum
the way he talked gave that sense
at least to me
maybe not
but he definitely felt confident enough in them to send in his magnum opera
Draedon didn't necessarily want the terrarian to win but he also didn't want the exos to win
like he says "most unexpected" many times iirc
he just wanted to see whatever results he got
yep
been a while since i fought him tho
draedon is all about results and discovery
mfers will say yharim regret his actions and then i show him the evil biome lore items and the slime god lore item and the ravager lore item and the queen slime lore item and
yeah wait
i have the perfect image for this wait
bro literally going "holy SHIT you KILLED A GOD thats FUCKING AWESOME DUDE KEEP DOING THAT" when you kill queen slime and people say "he regrets it"
they're biomes made of the divine essence of the first few gods he killed y es
clearly slime god was evil and deserved to be killed
look look look! provi is evil
so
they WERE evil then
true
?
he started with them because starting with the objectively morally bad gods makes it easier to convince people the good ones are bad too
Wish someone made an actual good lore video about calamity
makes sense but that leaves me eith another question
guys guys I solved it
how could they be good if becoming a god takes an auric soul from a dragon, is there another way to become a god?
the reason we grow so fast is clearly because we ate the auric soul of time in the future and time traveled back to the past!!!
willing smh
- not all auric dragons were good
Pusheen_ used to make banger calamity powerpoint videos, but they got removed from their channel ):
- not all gods murdered the dragons to get the soul, some got their auric souls from willing dragons
dragons in the elder scrolls series basically
webp
ok that clears up a lot
WHAT
howd yharon fly right after he hatched
is likely actively protecting the world from the distortion
how did that not embed
silva and otonilou are two godesses more or less confirmed to have been incredibly kind and otonilou specifically was basically described as a saint
but wait he like killed the dragon leader dude
Hope Xeroc is like a hero through and through, no shenanigans just a good guy being a hero
god of sacrifices (who would later turn into ravager), while not confirmed, may have also been a good guy
you can do it i believe you
We know he absorbed his soul
If he was able to remember when gods first started ascending i would assume he'd remember how to fly
hey this is actually part of the lore I know
We don't know what the actual context of it was
because I was trying to learn ravager lore to see if it could fit my dev item
Yharim tells you that he betrayed zeratros and basically had a villain monologue proclaiming to be the first god but also
Yharim wasn't there
And he also like
yknow
absolutely hates xeroc
If auric souls merges with the consumers soul, does that mean that technically the dragon continues living through the new host?
yharon told him this tho right
yup
For all we know zeratros may have told him to do it
and yharon
also really hates xeroc
I mean the context we know already doesn't paint an evil intention honestly
while it's tragic that what happened to yharon and his kind happened it really dosen't justify bro going
yeah im gonna start a genocide
he seems pretty chill ngl
just a chill guy, honestly
well he really liked yharon right
he calls him his old friend yeah
The answer to Genocide is not Genocide 2
man xeroc out here with the aura
yharon seething over his existence and xeroc is just like "Ah, my old friend :]"
hes legit just a chill guy
and knowing your old friends whole species was absolutely wiped
i mean
could one not get angy
y'know
I need an alt account so I can say things without the dev icon by my name tbh
xeroc's gotta feel at least a little guilty for what happened after his ascension
yeah i doubt he dosen't
Silly question but does Yharon actually die when you defeat him or he just escapes? with all about being reborn I'd be bamboozled if he died there
hi rebecca
He dies but he's coming back
even if he didnt mean to cause it, his actions indirectly lead to it
rebirth and all
whether or not Xeroc had good intentions, yeah this
bro
But how? Does his egg just spawn again in the Aerie or
I like to think xeroc had justifiable reasons for doing it but still feels guilty for unintentionally causing a entire species to go extinct more or less
yeh
Yharon becomes really interesting when you realize he's exactly what Yharim thinks he is
wdym?
a dragon
well, zeratros would die and the consequences of that could be pretty bad
no one to control the sun
zeratros would've likely died
permanently
and the domain of primordial light, the strongest domain
could lead it to just fucking incinerate the planet eventually ๐ญ
would be gone
and i mean
if
with the domain of primordial light
moon lord already was a catstrophe
what if that happened, but again, and without it
the sun was already hell torture under zeratros too
love how zeratros couldnt kill ml but then terrarian comes in and wipes him
or like
like, significantly so
in the lore is there set ways the fights go
just a fraction of what it was
Literally
there was an idea thrown around about ml's calamity healthbar where it'd be like
:theterrarianisyou:
there was yea

i know but
melon gun...
gelonmun
it'd be cool
Even if moonlord was at full power i'd still win
i miss him
๐
Me and Cei had a comically gigantic conversation about how empty it'd be
"iirc" and "they" he says
what happened to them?
hes fine hes just taking a break from discord for college lol
or school forgor which one hes in
finals and stuff
^
kinda funny how im doing the opposite
She originally wanted 5% but if that was reflected in the percentage it'd be weird to read
I came back while exams are right round the corner
literally same
So we kept talking for comically long about whether it'd be 10% or 1%
I thought 1% was too little, she thought 10% was too much
rebecca can I ask a question?
Sure
are plague enemies robots or cyborgs?
im almost done with mine
i don't think they're either
the lore seems to imply they're just infected
just two left, an easy english test tomorrow and geography on thursday
other than PBG, none of them have been mechanized, i don't think
the nanobots are robots but the creatures are cyborgs
what are you studying
๐
But iirc every enemy ingame is a cyborg
whar
its my highschool finals
oh cause
What?
they have lights and metal plating
what does this mean
๐ญ
@spare pier ๐ซต pigeon
i tink draedon took a queen bee and did a little silly on it, and yharim got rlly angy, and threw a fit about hurtin da bees, and in the same way broke the plague cell containers and it spread
i tink
I said that Plague enemies can be either robots or cyborgs
I think that's old design being old
Unless they are actually mechanized but in which case my guess is that they're not rly cyborgs as much as their tissue is just being consumed and warped by the plague nanovirus
But every enemy you see ingame is a cyborg unless I'm forgetting something
that's from a sea king quote
not design
YOU THOUGHT I WAS TALKING ABOUT EVERY ENEMY EVER?????????
YES???????????????????????
everything is a simulation all creatures are cyborgs wake up wake up wake
Draedom wanted RGB bees
I WAS LITERALLY TALKING ABOUT PLAGUE A MESSAGE ABOVE
But iirc every PLAGUE!!!!!!! enemy ingame is a cyborg
I DON'T THINK YHARON IS A CYBORG
You're just dumb I think
YES HE IS
no YOU'RE dumb
pigeonbecca
garbo send the gif for me pls bestie oomfie
pls
pls pls pls
YHARON stands for
Yes
He's
A
Robot.
Okay,
Nerd?
its not gonna embed
YHARON stands for
Yharim
H

R
O
Not
Surviving
sleep BADLY

LMAO
wtf happened
discord servers are fucking up?
who broke things
i cant send embeds in dms either
bye gabor
why did that work
yeah it's discord wide
oh it's just back
why did it flip it
flipped???
huh
ALL ENEMIES ARE CYBORGS
had calamitas been watching the player since their arrival
Sea king casually dropping lore bombs every time he speaks
Probably not
Iโd guess she started watching when Moon Lord got killed
im now realizing many quotes in calamitas' fight mention yharim
dunno how i didnt catch that at first
all of calamitas' dialogue in and out of the fight rn are outdated
bruhhh
I LOVE YOU DELTAW
hiiiiii
Yharim is inocent JK
Who did more horrendous acts yharim, yharon or draedon
begging you to elaborate on this
I will let you think about it yourself
my yharon headcanons......no..............
I saw someone saying that yharim was calamitas boyfriend
the fuck
No
no he fucking isnt
I should fear him?
Noted
if someone is telling you that yharim is calamitas' boyfriend you should shoot them in the skull
what do yo umean "only" yharim
Im just asking if yharim is the only one that groomed calamitas
probably
To make her comit tons of genocides
permafrost was adamantly against her engaging in combat so i dont think he would have
Draedon just dont give a shit
and i highly doubt draedon was very involved in raising her at all
And dog is just dog
i dont think dog would have bothered talkign to her
Maybe yharon?
prooooooooobably not
i think yharon doesnt really get along with or talk to any mortals besides yharim probably
Calamitas is also young imagine when she gets older how strong she would get
She is 27 in current lore right?
i dont need to imagine because we fight adult calamitas in the game
no hard defined age for her iirc but shes somewhere around late 20s
i dont thnk she would get stronger becaue i dont think she would be training
using her magic feels like shit for her
iirc
They have higher life expectancy than humans?
idk
they are humans
environmental factors probably play a bigger role
why did they get horns
since azafurians usually yk, live in a cave of lava
But i mean they got a higher lifespan than basic humans?
we don't know
What if the Dragon Aerie was expansive and pretty much like a bit of mix of Castle in the Sky and Angel Island?
(Both of those and the Aerie are floating islands)
Aerie should be based off of old religious architecture
(And maybe a palace below the island could be slightly inspired by Jambandra base as the catalyst of how itโs floating)
((And probably a slight answer to why itโs unknown to find it))
Another ghibli enjoyer i see
Ye :3
What is your favorite ghibli movie? Mine is princess mononoke
Iโd say Castle in the Sky
Itโs the one I watched in 7th grade middle school history class
My first ghibli movie was ponyo
So legendary
Ghibli movies are so goated
Trueeee
All of them are masterpieces
Also tuer
And got so much cool messages
Btw do you know of Kirby Jambandra Base?
One of my favorites messages is the one in kiki delivery service
No
Also the movies that made me cry like a baby is from ghibli
Grave of the fireflies
And the cool part is that its based on real life
Its based on a book of a survivor
That survived in japan in the 2WW
she dosent have much of a reason to train anyways
let her take a fucking nap or eat some pancakes or something
all i can see her realistically using he powers for is attempting to stop another disaster like the crusade from happening (same reason she fights yo ubasically) and that type of thing wouldn't happen often and if it did she could probably take it on given shes like the 2nd strongest human alive
calamitas is just goated like that
i mean, if they continue changing biologically. wouldn't they be moreso an evolution or minimally a sub-species of humans
rather than just humans
i can see azafurians being a subspecies
they seem morphologically different enough to be
like, differently colored skin is a very common change between diff human individuals all things considered so i can excuse the gray skin
but horns seem to be heading into a territory where i wouldnt b surprised if they were like
Homo sapiens azafurii or something
i do think theyre still humans though
not different enough to be a entirely separate species but i can see a subspecies of human specifically
If there was a magic fort at the bottom center of the Aerie island, could it be the catalyst for the floating mechanism?
Or what is it that makes the island float
are there any sources online i can to study the lore or like
is everything not trustable fully
do i just gotta pick up allat in here
doc
its in da pins
admittedly, a bit dated - lacking some reveals that have been added through dev statements and update teasers
but
none if is "wrong", its just missing some stuff
also, all the lore in the doc is in game if you wanna experience it naturally
magic probably
i'd be very shocked if it wasn't magic
annoyed, even
gravity is flawed in terraria idk
im at exo mechs in my like 4th playthrough and havent saved any of the fucking boss lore
rude
you can craft the lore items with the trophy and pearl shards
yeag
i keep it in chests
isn't it trophy at a bookshelf
there's too many to fit in 1
idk i use magic storage
Oooo maybe a magic indestructible crystal on said fort that give the island levitation
Very peaceful
exo prism perchance
but
no
aerie isn't in space probably
oh
that would be weird
i thought they were talking abt the planetoids or sm
oooo
it's unknown if this is for lore or just gameplay
but draedon did say "no matter how many planet-wide surveys i conduct, i haven't been able to find the location."
what if
uh
my brother who played calamity like mayhaps a year or two ago says they swore they saw a big door thingy on the far lab side of the underworld
and
profaned temple
eh
it's the profaned temple
I'm pretty sure it's completely hidden to people who aren't auric dragons or don't have a vip pass granted to them by an auric dragon (yharim)
probably
It's an infernum structure
guardians and provi arenas
looks like this
oh cool
looks significantly better not in the map
that'll do it
som ethingy in the underground desert
sounds like infernum
idr much but like
it had someting like maybe an altar, but it highlighted an item when you hovered over it, like astral beacon would with titan heart
someting like that?
yep

portal to the lost colosseum
it's a subworld where you fight the great sand shark
which is an actual boss in the mod
allat for a fricken sand shark๐
it's a pretty sick fight
i mean it is infernum so
didn't want to do it 15 times but pretty cool
also
on the topic of infernum
ive got a fucking bone to pick with infernum skeletron
figuratively and literally
p u n
Test
Wrong channel
I agree
but then like right after, slime god and wall of wof r so easy compared to it
He was not that hard
He's just a little mf
what if it's easy for an organic to find but because he's a tin can it's impossible
is the meat delicious
so very delicious...
yes
omgawd devourer of gods reference
and? /pos
dog wasnt ever loyal to yharim, and he influenced some parts of his genocide?
tut tut
Maybe
Do note that Yharim himself points out how much of a shitty liar DoG is
If Yharim immediately caught onto DoG lying about creating CV, does it sound reasonable that DoG was also good enough at manipulation to make Yharim do all those war crimes
Itโs very possible that DoG didnโt really influence shit and heโs just being used as a scapegoat to make Yharim look better
creating what now
ceasless void
ah
which is actually a portal to the distortion
Heโs not a genocidal war criminal who killed half the planet because he browsed too much r/atheism, heโs a โfallen heroโ who โhad good intentions but was driven by desperation to commit heinous actsโ
bum ass cosmic serpent
Always take Yharimโs words with a grain of salt, especially if theyโre about himself, gods or dragons
god fobid he hold a stable portal open
yharim isn't a very unreliable narrator per se, but he is biased to hell and back
That he is
he also, yknow, doesnt know everything
i do think and will defend that yharim originally wanted to help yharon and had no malice, but yeah booo he coulda done better
and may try filling in the blanks for stuff he's clueless about
like storm weaver and DoG being of the same species which he just assumes is the case
idk, genocide usually involves malice at least a bit
screenshitted
xd
i mean, my guys best bud just got his whole species hunted for sport basically
is there a lore document more akin to a timeline?
but yeah fighting fire with fire bad
Fighting fire with fire is bad and fighting fire with napalm is worse
therapy
is there lore on the terrarian or like
Up to you
did bro just simply one day say mmm im gonna do this
Thatโs up to you
but leaving it up to the player leaves too many holeeeessssss
what motivated the terrarian to do it
where hes from
did bro literally just pop into existence in terraria
orrrr
only what others think of us
not rly
draedon is fascinated, and calamitas wants to stop you bc she thinks you're going to become another yharim
you're literally making a character for the world
to many for me ):
the holes dont rly exist if u fill them urself
"why did the terrarian do it" u can amke that up :D
but i cantttt i want solid answers graahhhh
maybe they just really really really hate yharims haircut
chat how can i make this about r
terraria lets you completely customize your character so making one set in stone lore for them would make it either really barebones or restricting for people who wanna do cool stuff
but like
r
reign deez yharims
bnuy
Thereโs a couple things we know for sure
We know that the terraria (when you do this play through) canonically kills all of the bosses and gods that you see in game
They also kill (since itโs going to be added in future updates) xeroc, noxus, and Yharim (unless they decide to do some crazy shit with him)
We know that the terrarian builds a city (your town, aka the city is really any size) and rescues calamities and permafrost and amidias
And we know that the terrarium becomes the ruler of the new generation/era eventually
But other than that
Uh. No
The lore is set up in a way that you can mod it really any way
All of that is wrong except for one thing
thats me
The Terrarian does not necessarily kill every boss. This is entirely up to you. Anything you do in game is canon.
The Terrarian WILL kill yharim and may kill Noxus but will be incapable of killing Xeroc
The Terrarian MAY build a town and may be able to do so exceptionally well. They can in a normal playthrough.
The Terrarian MAY rescue Permafrost and Amidias and will spare Calamitas if they fight her.
The Terrarian COULD become some kind of new ruler but they by no means have to.
A normal Terrarian will kill most of the bosses, including yharim but not Xeroc, will build a town and rescue the NPCs, and does whatever you want by the end. All of these are optional.
Even if itโs not all 100% canon, itโs still almost a must need in the story, considering that most players, on a normal play through of the game are going to be building NPC housing and killing most if not all of the progression based bosses. It still something thatโs going to affect the story for the vast majority of people
The new ruler thing was lowk stupid tho idk why I put that
And the xeroc thing
But everything else
I mean not relaly
you can just
write your terrarian to not do that
Had a buddy who wrote a terrarian who only went after the bosses that were disrupting the balance of nature because they were a silva creation
It was pretty cool
They become besties with slime god
I mean yea you can 100% make the terrarian not do any of that
But at the same time
For like the MAJORITY of ppl who play the game
Thatโs the path that theyโre gonna take
So unless you make a character with specific actions that change the actual story like ur friend
The general story isnโt going to change that much
haii thats me
yes but that doesn't mean its a set in stone thing
majority does not mean everyone
wasnt cnidrion tanking the incineration canon
and this isnt a case of voting on whats canon based on what most ppl do
yes
could someone explain how exactly auric dragons/souls and the aerie works? i'm trying to do a timeline and i don't want to miss or mess up any details
landlording is still canon
what specifically would you like to know
i'm a bit confused about how they're born and die, so do their souls just go back to the aerie in some sort of limbo state? how exactly do they get reborn? something about a ritual? and if yharon is essentially the god of rebirth, what's stopping him from resurrecting his kind once yharim saves him?
there's a complicated ritual you need to do to absorb an auric soul
i don't think the exact mechanics of rebirth are established
ah, see i thought the ritual was to bring them back from the aerie or something
and i don't think yharon can revive dragons if their souls were consumed
one important part of rebirth is that it requires the soul to still be intact
yeag
yeah that makes sense
but what happens to the souls once the gods who took them are dead?
they don't get sent back to the aerie as they would with the dragons?
the soul stops existing when you first absorb it
if you let it sit and fester for too long it'll turn into an infection like the hallow or the evil biomes
it basically merges with yours into something entirely new
ah, so it's something you outright consume, not something "material" that you can hold onto and let go of
yea important to note that once you do the ritual, your soul and the auric soul merge to become something else
the things stopping the terrarian from ascending are:
-we don't know the ritual, and we killed everyone who knew it before we asked them
-and yharon's soul specifically teleports to the aerie as soon as he dies
it's the only one that does that
when xeroc took zeratros' soul, was he already dead and awaiting resurrection or was he still alive and finished off?
unknown
ok
hopefully we'll find out in the xeroc update in 639 fargo years
What if you threw a godly soul into shimmer
the hallow isnt bad grrrrr it pretty :D
the hallow is toxic positivity
might not be bad but it's still an infectious biome
i had this really cool idea for a crimson counterpart for the hallow
i really should sit down and sprite some stuff of it
Omg I'd love to see this if you draw it - it sounds cool
No I mean it sincerely! I'm sorry if I sounded sarcastic lol
ah okay cool, sorry, you just never know with ppl
Lol yeah that's totally fair
ok so, since the crimson is a bloody, gory mess, its hallow counterpart would be the opposite of that, a super sterile, pristine landscape almost devoid of color - the haven
lots of biblical theming
Ohh that sounds rly cool actually I like that a lot
reminiscent of that one spongebob episode where in the future everything is chrome and anything that isn't is quickly turned chrome
The Purity sounds like the perfect name for it except it's what vanilla calls actual pure biomes lol
i really like the name haven because it's similiar to both hallow and crimson, almost like a mix
and obviously the EOL counterpart would be a biblically accurate angel or smth, maybe themed after the night given EOL's whole thing with daytime
Real
Oooh yeah that's great actually
sounds peak
What is the calamity logo supposed to be / represent
Cause it's also on Yharims loin cloth
its the calamity
Itโs John calamity
probably an Insignia for Yharim and his army
or maybe a symbol made by Yharim, that symbolizes somehting Yharim cares about
i mean
it looks like a Y
so he's a narcissistic cartoon villain who puts his initial on everything
crack theory: it's the sigil of Rebirth
It's a Y
Yharim is unoriginal
Put his lame branding on everything
It doesn't have an R on it
the sigil of primordial light doesn't have a P either
I like to think it's the symbol for the crusade
And that the eye symbol related to Xeroc is the symbol for the gods/society of people to become gods
tis zrue
no the eye symbol is the sigil of primordial light
the gods don't all share a society
xeroc is like completely isolated from all other gods as far as we know
otonilou and tyrian worked together
most gods hate providence
We live in a society
Did provi become batshit crazy trying to kill everyone post ascension or was that the initial plan
iunno if we have a solid answer regarding that
according to the bestiary she was all "the world is dark, light that shit up" from the very start but for all we know she might not have meant it literally at first and her becoming frenzied flame pilled was a later development
I mean I'd assume there would have to be some sort of guild or cult of gods or people that aspire because they wanted Yharim to be God king meaning they saw something in him that gave them the decision that he should be the post powerful
Unless I'm mistaken and that's not how it is
That wasn't a society of all gods it was just a group of specific gods
They wanted him to be a god king for their group specifically
not gods as a whole
some of them seemingly had a society yeah, but not all of them
probably not even close to all of them
Did gods kill other gods? If so do we know of any that did?
Prov mustโve done it atleast once
Did the gods hate Xeroc and just couldn't do anything about it (salty cause of his power) or did they have respect for him for discovering ascention
So what makes the moon lord so damn powerful in the lore
I don't think there is necessarily a reason I think Fovos just op
Okay I'm just gonna keep piling on questions
Do we know the rankings/power scaling of the dragons? Obviously Zeratros #1 but who follows? (Where does Yharon place?)
Could the Terrarian Fovos at full power (before the attack)? Could Yharim? Could any one singular being? (With the exception of Noxus and Xeroc)
How many dragons were there?
Did the dragons all die to be used for ascention or were some killed without the ritual? If so, what happens to the Auric Soul if not used for ascension?
Are gods immediately more powerful than dragons or do they match the same power level of the time they ascended and they must train further?
According to the concept art for the new Auric Tesla armor we learn that the red ploom of hair is the armor and not actually hair. Does Yharim even have red hair? Do we/will we ever, know what Yharim looks like before the burns?
How old is Yharim? Any dates appreciated but mainly looking for the main story points: Thrown into lava, started the crusade, current day
Do people worship the Primordial light?
Does the Calamity mod have an end goal? I mean what is really our motivation atp, is it just killing everything? Following Yharims instructions? Any real canon reason to why we are here or is it truly up to the player?
^^^ Following last, will we ever get resolve to the story? If Xeroc gets added it's clear we won't be able to beat him/he will not even use his full strength so what will be the ending? Are we just at a standstill noe the second most powerful in existence and that's it? (Feels kinda underwhelming but understandable if so)
Do we assume the world we play in is the entire planet or do we only get a small sliver? This is kinda a rhetorical question because I assume it's not the entire planet and that when evil biomes is kinda the gameplay fill in for "exploring more of the planet" but just kinda want confirmation/opinion
Do we have an idea of what the end of the mod will be/how long the mod will keep developing or is it just when the devs get bored?
holy wall
wouldnt the end of calamity logically be fighting yharim
because that like
what hes guiding you to
the end of the base story will be fighting yharim yes
theres the possibility of noxus and xeroc for the post-game basically being extra lore and content
-
I'm pretty sure the bestiary confirms Yharon is the second strongest Dragon ever, behind only Zeratros.
-
I'm of the impression that Full power Fovos is too powerful for the current Terrarian, aka post scal and exo mech Terrarian. Fovos is supposedly stronger than Noxus, but below Xeroc. we know we wont be beating Xeroc, but we WILL be killing Noxus. So you can draw your own conclusion if you could or coudlnt beat Fovos. Yharim def cant.
-
there is no concrete given number of dragons, but there is a finite number of Auric dragons, aka dragons with special souls that grant them powers. the rest of the dragons are called offshoots. aka dragons with no auric soul. they are an entire race though, so there were likely lots of dragons in the draconic era.
-
While we dont really know the specifics, if an auric dragon dies, and their soul ISNT consumed, it goes to the aerie for Yharon to rebirth them. Most dragons were killed though for the purpose of taking their soul. We kill one dragon ourself without consuming its soul.
-
Since auric souls merge with their consumers soul, they are generally more powerful than before. but Weak dragons result in weak gods, and strong dragons result in strong gods. They can still train after and grow even stronger, but that is apparently rare. although Xeroc did train and grew stronger than he originally was.
-
Yes, pretty sure Yharim has red hair, and no, don't think we will ever see unmasked Yharim. that is a deliberate choice by the developers.
-
Yharim is very old, around 120-150 years old iirc. but hes atleast over 100 years old.
-
not known if people worship Primordial light directly, but we do know that the sun is made from primordial light. So anything that worships the sun would technically be worshipping primordial light.
-
Calamity will definitely get an ending, but as for our character motivation and what not, the terrarian is a blank slate and their story, motivations and origins are entirely up to YOU
-
yes, the story will get resolved, Calamity will get a proper ending.
-
The area we play on is only a continent, not the entire planet. its supposedly called "the heartlands" but nothings been confirmed yet.
-
The devs will work on it for as long as they want to, but i think their goal is to add Yharim befor they can call the mod finished. Noxus and Xeroc, and other post Yharim update content will only be added if the devs are still motivated to work on it.
there we go! let me know if i got anything wrong lorians.
cal won't get an ending because they'd skip out a credits sequence smh
The ending will be everyone hugging it out
Yharim breaks down sobbing and says "I've killed so many... I've taken the lives of millions... I can never forgive myself"
My terrarian oc extends a hand to his shoulder and says "if every porkchop were perfect... we wouldn't have hot dogs"
Yharims finally gets defeated
Calamitas: we did it we took down Yharim!
Can't stop the feeling by Justing Timberlake starts playing
Terrarian: I feel a beat coming on! come one everybody!
Amidias, Calamitas, Permafrost and Terrarian starts dancing in sync
Yharim, standing in the corner, starts thumping his foot slighty to the beat
Terrarian: Oh get over here big guy!
Yharim: What the hell, why not.
Yharim joins the dance
Terraian: I guess this whole adventure har really been a supreme calamity!
Screen fades to black with music still playing
THE END

this truly has been a lore discussion
lucky theres a calamity guy
Again, the gods aren't a single entity or group
Different gods have different stances on things, the're individuals
Maybe some did, maybe some didn't
provi probably did she hates everyone
shes a hater
calamity if it was good
โ๏ธ๐ฅ
someone give me the lore of the celestial onion
Tysm
Is there a lore reason why I can't flirt with Draedon over the communication channel?
Realistically if you did, he would have no heart to be able to reciprocate
Thought of a few more questions..
Why is it called the calamity mod? Is it referring to the Kickstart of all this hell that is the story? Is the calamity Fovos attacking which mainly led to all this happening?
Are there any dragons left aside from Yharon?
Is the crusade over? Did Yharim technically complete his goal of killing all the gods? course we killed a gods for him as well but is that now all of them? (Aside from Xeroc)
the woke left is ๐
While he is programmed for Science and Progress he does show some emotions, mainly curiosity and dissapointment in failure. But he also shows pride in the Exomechs and Intrigue into people such as the Terrarian and Yharim.
I'm the woke left, how could I shoot myself in the foot
fr
As soon as their is a "Science at any and all costs" character I'm hooked for life.
they would have emotions
they are just not interested
and would treat you like lab rat probably
whos fovos and why have i not heard of him
Fovos is moonlord
Different name for the same guy
Its not mentioned anywhere in game though so thats prob why you havent heard of it
Maybe I just have to prove I am as passionate about progress as he is.
- Because it sounds cool - The mod's name was conceived far before the current iteration of the narrative, let alone the presence of a narrative at all
- Nope, yharon's the only one left
- Mostly. There's atleast two gods he didn't manage to kill which we aren't able to either and there may be more in other continents we just aren't aware of.
(Well, for 2, when it comes to auric dragons, anyways. There's several dragons left but of the ones who got auric souls: Yep, he's the only one)
Thank ya
yw
what if that's just how the Terrarian flirts
