all the image perms thing did is a failed attempt at killing off a bunch of meme stuff, even still if it bothered the moderators it could've been easily handled since exactly during the time that decision was made, a multitude of moderators that check lore discussion regularly, became moderators and they could've been given a chance
all it does now isn't "killing off offtopic", it forces people to share any form of image, even stuff that's actually ontopic (like the recent loredrops we get from spoiler tank) outside of this channel and therefore move the discussion elsewhere, and once again this decision was taken for the sake of killing off a bunch of meme stuff (1 of the main actors of this was banned regardless and the other chilled out), even still, I said it before, there's multiple moderators who check on this chat
I could go in way deeper about not the choice itself but also how it came to be (like how half the mod team doesn't even do a thing in lore discussion and therefore their votes to me are way less valuable), but this is why this is just a pointless bad choice
