I think what Calamity lacks over MH (elder dragons at least) is the fact that we don't have as much environment-reshaping stuff or anything like that being talked about
we have Storm Weaver weather manipulation, weather manipulation is something a whole bunch of elder dragons use including the literal weakest one (Kirin), same way Storm Weaver triggers storms, Kirin kinda just pulls up thunderstorms like that, so for the maths they're kinda relative
problem is that right after Kirin we have a lot more elder dragons doing crazier shit, Teostra creating heatwaves that affect multiple regions, and even an actual cutscene from 4U where Kushala just makes an entire natural snowstorm disappear within seconds; those feats alone are just beyond any immediate feat in Calamity that I could calc and be 100% sure of being correct, yea Calamitas' Ilmeris Vaporization isn't immediate.
then there's higher tier elders, Amatsu having power that surpasses any natural disaster is already beyond the Ilmeris feat without being an overtime thing, and Shara Ishvalda rearranging the earth's crust through vibrations and Dalamadur doing the same by twitching its muscles both genuinely just bully Calamity mod's entire scaling the way we know it.

I bet that if we did see more of auric dragons and their abilities, we'd definitely be seeing a fairer battle between the top tiers between the 2 verses, auric dragons and elder dragons do have some similarities in terms of "domain" control, it's just that with elder dragons it's mostly about natural events/disasters, and the domain is also not as specific in all cases, whereas with auric dragons it's one specific thing but also not really related to natural events in most cases (dragon of storms Vetrasyl is one though, but that's not even implemented yet); I can imagine the gravity dragon that was briefly mentioned recently being quite busted, and I can also imagine the whole storm dragon lifts the sky islands thing that was mentioned a few times to be busted as well

but as we stand, we're at Calamity having a Country Level feat that was achieved overtime VS MH having a Multi-Continent Level feat that the monster in question achieves quite casually, whilst also having supporting evidence for an almost, if not outright Moon Level scaling when we talk about Fatalis burning the entire planet; but that's more of an overtime thing too

better? Calamity lore works notably different from MH, Calamity has many events and side stories but it all leads to one overarching narrative, Monster Hunter is more of a worldbuilding that houses many different stories and is intentionally left flexible to welcome newer games and stories

Yharim rebelled against his fate of becoming god king to save yharon the last auric dragon and got thrown in lava for this

Got saved by yharon hatching and flying them out of the lava and started crusade on the gods

Gained followers and allies over time and waged this war across terraria (the world)

Some of these allies would be:
permafrost
azafure
draedon
devourer of gods
Supreme witch calamitas

But in the last decaf or two he had pushed away these allies (or azafure getting nuked) and so the crusade has fizzled out from being as major as it was decades ago

I know that we don't know about many gods, but do we know if there are any gods that are considered "good" or just neutral?
