Pirates don't need an explanation, and Goblins Invasions are a fact of life for remote settlements. Both are easy enough to defeat though, and they did not have sufficient strength to invade "civilized lands" at the time of Deities and early stages of Yharim's crusade (and raids do negligible damage due to how easy they are to repel).

1. Frost Legion has no real explanation, outside of maybe some experimentation done by some enterprising ice mages, figuring out how to make a viable war automaton out of ice and snow. Said experiment went horribly right, and magic behind their existence had to be sealed behind otherwise unassuming snow globe. Which somehow finds its way to the player via either a present, or crafting through means only they know.
2. Goblin armies were nowhere near strong enough to face Yharim's forces, let alone armies under Deific command. Same applied to Pirates. Both are only a problem for remote settlements, too far away to get reinforcements in time. And nobody cares about remote settlements.
3. Martian Invasions are a very recent thing. Their scout probes might have zipped across the low orbit before, but only recently Martians got both their armies strong enough to invade, and Terrarian lands crippled enough by infighting to be a viable target. Too bad our player character exists. Poor things /s.
4. Pumpkin and Frost moons were not documented by Yharim, or anyone else really, because they don't occur on their own, and it is very likely that no one before us actually summoned them deliberately.
5. Old Ones Army are an outside context problem for Terraria lands. Of course Yharim wouldn't know about their existence. Luckily, player character exists, again, and we handle this situation quite easily (when sufficiently prepared).

Edit: Forgot the 6th - a Deerclops boss, which likely is a recent entity too - they were taken from an entirely different universe, and they have been roaming the icy land ever since.
