it would be funny if he lost to slime god because he ate too much
Guys I found this weird big cosmic worm in my yard
He’s asking to make a deal with me
What do I do?
Feed him godly essence
What even is wulfrum and who made it all lore I found about the machines and the weapons made from the stuff say nothing about who made it all I know is that the many forces against yharim probably used it
there's no concrete answer on who made it, just that their creator was against yharim
they're really not that important, they're quite primitive robots just meant to be disruptive to wandering soldiers
||who is the traitor mentioned in the exo mechs lore item||
the god of primordial light
Yep I assumed
Xeroc
The hungry fellow
Guy just wanted to eat a soul
And those soul fragments look nice so
I get it
we don't at all know if xeroc really is a traitor who betrayed zeratros, or if they only acted in accordance with zeratros' wishes
The dragons look yummy
we can't really trust yharim here because he's tied for the most biased person against xeroc we know of
our only source for it now is an extremely biased asshole (yharon)
I wonder
i'm really bad at typing today ngl
Was there a god who hated the others
well
gods aren't one big faction or anything
I understand why xeroc SUCCed zeratos
it's possible xeroc regrets what they caused
also you've got providence wanting everyone dead so
John Wulfrum ||Wagstaff from Don't Starve||
i guess that counts
Yeah does xeroc still hold power so
Cuz it looks yummy
He isnt real
wake up
HE IS REAL TO ME
But.. but John Calamity?
we're not killing them
like straight up
we stand no chance
I know
Your Feelings For Him Are Not Real
But even then xeroc seems to hold some form of honour unlike the others
xeroc is capital G God now right
no
no
lower case
nope
the first god, but not the creator
Xeroc might fight us for a bit of a laugh
Give us some stuff and leave
Because xeroc is ancient and probably quite bored
"good job, you got me to use more than 5% of my power, just go now, take this item and leave, come on, shoo"
If the inevitable yharim boss spawns a town npc after getting beaten
If there’s a xeroc boss
After that boss I just want all interactions with yharim to be complete and utter rage
WE ARE KILLING HIM, HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO LIVE AFTER ALL THE SHIT HE DID
yharim will die in the fight
And spawn a friendly version of his boss and then immediately gets slapped away
you do not let a tyrant that literally killed the essential gods of the world live after leaving the world a complete mess
Xeroc just gives yharim a fucking backhand
i hate my brain sometimes
if plans change drastically and yharim lives i will make a mod to kill him myself
The yharim backhand will happen
good job you caught all the fish
No matter the cost
you missed the size 2
the size 2 is out there
I drank all the crate potions
don't think the gods are essential?
They just leave a mess post death
i mean siiva and maybe some other one i was just saying he doesnt deserve a second chance
Silva is a barely alive god in the abyss
Idk if the abyss is Silva now or she is floating around like the god version of a geriatric
My plot didn’t go to plan anyway
I tried draining the abyss
I accidentally drained the ocean on that run anyway
Silvia
he doesn't really have all that much guilt
he will be decapitated sliced one thousand times shoved into a meatgrinder thrown into a black hole and more
tbf i would like to know where he got that wig from
He wasn’t very happy with the dragons getting eaten to extinction so
I understand the havoc he caused
me decapitating yharim but realizing i have to take out his gross head from his helmet (i want his helmet and armor as vanity)
He is a very very specific environmentalist
And at least he wasn’t happy with draedon or somethings plague
He wasn’t due to it being like how cruel gods control others
He didn’t want to eat a egg I guess
he then proceeded to make things worse by releasing pbg
and did absolutely nothing about it
pgb?
plaguebringer goliath
Plague bringer Goliath
Should of killed draedon on the spot
Killing draedon js like killing the current plague without the off switch, too much too everywhere
And as long as one body remains healthy can come back probably quickly
good question
Because a star borne hive mind
aureus' design is pretty damn weird so
Definitely would modify some big ass robot
i cant really imagine a non-infected one
It’s def modified
i definitely think there wouldnt be fire
Def no flames
why do all of draedon's weapons look so rusty
the legs would also definitely be more metallic
Less fleshy
Cause the ones we find and use are all uncared for
they're like the only thing that looks organic
Except for Exo tech he doesn’t care that much about the other tech
aureus will get a redesign anyway since
well, the sprite is amazing but the design is all over the place
Aureus is def more than steel circuitry and silicone
Cause Exo tech is just utterly beyond all other tech he made
send mechanical stomper into astral infection
look inside a week later
writhing mechanical flesh
Mana and flesh
Probably no gem eye things either
That’s what you get for sending a robot into a Eldritch blight
Or the astral blue spikes with the fire
I would love to fight regular aureus robots
eh, i think those would stay, maybe except on the legs
Maybe a land mini boss
also probably the colors would just be different, since the ones aureus has are the two main astral colors
blue and orange
Maybe they’re cameras changed into the weird astral gems
The infection needs more than mechanical parts to see so makes sense
like the ones on the bottom of the legs are definitely not from the uninfected design
It is a hive after all
but the rest could be feasible as potentially scanners
Yeah
since like
aureus' sprite in-game definitely doesn't reflect how he actually looks
his legs probably look more like metagross in an X-pattern
And dues or whatever it’s spelled is another worm boss
Where that flesh come from
Infected flesh merging with aureus
Its not like the infection can grow meat or smth
i dont think its flesh, rather just physical manifestations of mana
It ain't crimson
Either way aureus is buggered beyond repair
Maybe it’s just how the astral looks
Wait I got a idea
anyways uhh astrum deus whats their lore
Hard mode infected draedon tech for the corruption and crimson
Ate stars and then got space salmonella
creature from space that eats dying stars and births new ones, so that they don't bloat and turn into the astral
unfortunately it didn't get to one fast enough and it managed to get infected
Deus is just space worm that eats stars before they become infected, ate a infected one and chucked it at earth and got controlled
Also possibly a species
PTOOEY
Yeah one worm doesn’t make sense
Some guy going space worm your the only one tasked with this important and quite Herculean task
Welp I’m gonna go
Cya guys
Discuss lore
Bye
bye bye
What would a not infected deus look like?
is deus infected though?
Yeah
yea it is
That’s the entire reason it fights us, controlled to protect the astral star
deus doesnt seem to be mutated though
We uninfect it
the current deus design does not fit how i envision it at all, so i can't properly put my mind to work imagining a non-infected version of the in-game sprite
yeah
Ah ok
the astral bosses just need a redesign to fit into the
"mutated extraterrestrial monstrosity" thing
Yeah
yharim you mf you literally say the worm is doing the world a favor by eating dying stars and you're still saying its a piece of shit that needs to die?
He does say it needs to die?
He litteraly says thankfully it’s likely not truly dead
It ain’t an actual god so his super racism doesn’t activate
"kill the bastards"
Where that said
I feel like xeroc is technically the monk and the dragon the monk took the soul from I forgot the name
Zeratros
Yharim dosen't hate astrum deus
nobody hates astrum deus
astrum deus is a friend to all
everyone loves the space worm
scrungly
Zeratros and whatever Xerocs name was are probably the same thing now
i want an astrum deus plush
legit not a single character in the lore expresses any form of disdain to deus and its one of the ONLY two bosses you actually actively spare
They are one now
this worm is literally just a friend
Pretty sure all gods are “technically” both since they absorb the soul and become stronger, though the one in control is def the monk
That’s not how the ascension ritual works I’m pretty sure
And it would be hilarious to see yharim get a history lesson from xeroc
Speaking of astrum Deus I drew a little interpretation of it and its life stages
All big sketch
As you can see
i like to headcanon that xeroc gets a little zeratros ghost only they can see following them around
Deus represents a life of a real star
it's silly
Otherwise I’m sure Xeroc would have explained it at some point that it’s basically both dragons and monk
SCUG
How?
Astrum Deus that got infected was at supernova stage of its life
make pebbles a baby deus

Nah
Xeroc might of done it differently somehow
Perhaps the other gods did it worse somehow
Deuses are born from mana nebulas in the space
He did get a perfect ascension but we know silva did aswell and they stayed the elemental not some fusion
And their pups look like proto stars
Is this official?
Still cool
Yeah
Surely it is, it was gone for a while yet no other stars are infected
Baby deuses are defenceless and vulnerable so they glue asteroids and comets together into shells
I’m going to side with draedon saying it’s a species
same
no one is denying that
i'm smarter than him
i read this as "they eat glue" somehow
i'm denying it
but genius =/= infallible
i think he's stupid. compared to Me
But he is likely the most infallible on this topic over any other source
I'm stupid compared to a sea slug
Unless xeroc or noxus know
Who isn’t
me
Me
because i'm really smart
according to devs permafrost might have smth to say about it once he gets some love from the dialogue department
Oh nice
Either way I'll be leaving now into my little break from cal servers (I just wanted to show my art)
Aight bye
byebye
Good bye lore discussion throudon is out
hope you enjoy ur break
For 6,99 bucks per ticket
whats dragon soul bond called again
attunement
we perform mock attunement to allow us to use auric bars by making use of fragments of yharon's auric soul
This also means if yharon punches us we could go flying far
what did draedon do
he infected bees with the plague
cant believe draedon was cancelled
he's draedone
Ok so since azafure is where the industrial revolution began in azafure does that makes azafure the equivalent of great britain. So in conclusión calamitas is british.
Make sense
hating the british is based iirc
Can't run from the truth
Doesn't she have a British accent in the DM Dokuro theme video
thats literally what i said
I may be stupid

i still want to hold my headcanon voice that makes dog british because i imagine him having Metal Face's voice from xenoblade 1

you made this, right?
Na
Headcanon, permafrost is british and calamitas got her accent from him
permafrost gives off british vibes
Polite British but yes
i think it would be really funny if calamitas had a cockney accent
question
why is INFESTATION in a part of Clone Calamitas's theme
is it supposed to be a semi-direct allusion to her guilt of burning down Ilmeris or did DM just choose an iconic calamity song and put it in
as in "her" guilt i mean actual Calamitas's guilt maybe Clone Cal being a Clone led to her also having severe trauma and guilt from the real witch
Clone did go insane form her power so maybe idk?
I mean, pretty sure she has 0 connection to Perforators, hive mind, Slime God, or the Aquatic Scourge but iirc all of their songs have some kind of leitmotif used in cal clones song
iirc it was done that way to make it feel something like a culmination of everything you've done or feel like a false ending or something along those lines
I'm not sure
yeah its usage of all the leitmotifs it does is mostly for the sake of feeling climatic
Certainly does feel climactic
Isn't cal clone meant to be the final boss of early hard mode? Since she has a song playing after you beat her
Doubt it
It's just haha a buch of boss themes from before
Think yharim will have similar idea. Being a collection of motiefs for the second half of the game
i have heard people describe cal clone as the real entry into hard mode so that would check out
It's also at the half way point through the game
okay i'm literally addicted to this song
fattyu
Does draedon play video games perchance? (serious question)
Or has he at least made some
I mean, the lab workers need some form of entertainment
I don’t think video games really exist yet
I'm sure video entertainment at least exists
He invents autism, and then subsequently stuff to hyperfixate on
Do trains exist yet?
excavators are kinda trains
Draedon probably makes video game just for improving his robot AI
Draedon designed a boss fight irl
Draedon might make a video game just to see how well he can simulate the world or something
Draedon's favourite games are cad softwares
Conspiracy theory, the game terraria is just a simulation of the world that draedon made
there are rails
so perhaps the more technologically advanced parts of the world (just draedon mostly) would have trains
they were industrialized
it wouldn't be too much of a stretch, especially since trains are good at transporting the necessary materials for industry
unless they used magic, but i'm not sure how involved magic is in Calamity's technological evolution
This is the world building I need
I’d say that except for blatantly normal things (like a normal minecart) almost all tech is magical in some way
Like I doubt one scrap can be turned into 40 scaffold blocks with just tech
Magical crafting
well now you're crossing into the line of gameplay vs lore
The ui is what the terrarian sees when crafting
Maybe for ancient Manipulator and draedons forge but not for anything else
Unless you decide otherwise
an iron sword takes 8 ingots to craft, which is a bit much
Maybe a bar being 2 foot cube isn’t exactly accurate to canon
That or it’s us making mistakes and getting a usable sword at the end (but then how can we make anything of draedons if not a basic wood sword)
well for that Draedon's Forge can be said to be doing a lot of heavy lifting
What about miracle matter weapons which would not be defined in its database ?
true
Hello
We’re discussing magic and tech
An ingot can be basically any size. At most it is like the size of a brick
Granted a sword we use is like 2.5 metres long so they def ain’t normal sized swords
terrarian is so bad at refining ore that the ingots are the size of school erasers
Also, the swords in terraria are the size of a- yeah
fish(mael)
I think except for basic early game tech most of the tech we use has some form of magic in it
Hellforge using magic to reach higher temps as an example and the titanium adamantite forges being us refining the forges as examples
I wonder if Exo prisms fall under tech, magic or mix of both
it's kinda crazy how pretty much any schmuck could make their own psuedo Draedon Forge if they got a hold of some exo prisms
not like you could get those easily but
If you did it would be easy
I wonder if us making miracle matter just looked like us putting some random things in the crafting part and pressing craft and then boom scientific discovery
Wait would us naming the Exo blade the Exo blade when it’s passed Exo and is miracle matter give draedon more confusion like the mech bosses did
the terrarian couldnt come up with a better name
since iridescent excalibur is now a miracle weapon too, we can say that they ran out of cool sword names
This is exactly what it is
tony stark forging his first suit with a hammer gif
the sims
Sims with rtx
now that i think about it, neither cosmilite nor luminite are used in making miracle matter
i wonder why
my mouse broke so i couldnt use mspaint for this one
the terrarian inventing stable miracle matter
miracle mattress
sleep in a bed of material that will dissasemble you on the molecular level
draedon, i need me a bed that makes me automatically find the long side of the blanket
not everything being super detailed aside from the hand
hands are hard to draw
the hand looks accurate i think
Crucial lore question: does anahita not have a mouth or is that just how the sprite looks
True
all of her emojis have mouths xd

ah, i forgot about the emojis
i thought the ??? bait sang ngl
it's just anahita and levi in a trench coat
https://cdn.discordapp.com/emojis/1231288256423792740.gif?size=48
a very huge and bulging trench coat
a suspiciously leviathan shaped trenchcoat
what if yharim existed in real life and he has an army?
He wouldn't do anything because there aren't any real gods
can yharim wipe out mostly-US Christianity please
however, people pray to their religious Gods
so, most likely yharim would do somethin
He’d just be a really diehard atheist with an army
Yeah I guess. I still think he'd lose if he tried anything, because he's not stopping a real life nuke
Not even calamitas could do that
Neither would Draedon's creations, because however "indestructible" the armor plating is to any weaponry imaginable, wielded by Terrarian, I doubt it can survive a direct hit from 1+ MT thermonuclear device.
It's not surviving an environment equivalent of IRL star's core, sorry.
we already had the nuke convo
yharim and everyone below dies
everyone above lives i think
xeroc tanks a nuke ez
actually nobody tanks a nuke even the weakest nukes ever made deal millions of terraria damage
the strongest dealing trillions
xeroc does tho..
idk lore dev said it
ok but mathematically the loredev was wrong
due to coding restrictions involving the integer limit i dont think any boss could tank the average nuke
why does a nuke deal trillions of damage
on a direct impact
because I want it to
i dont think xeroc would let a nuke directly impact him
we're asking if bosses can tank a nuke not survive one
Go-go gadget hypersonic missile
mb used the wrong wording
I wouldn't let him not let it impact him
fair
he doesn't have my permission to dodge
in terms of an indirect hit i think a large amount of the bosses could survive
depending on how far away they are
though the only instances of nuking people and having them survive took place before the hydrogen bomb
This discussion happened in the past lmao
yea i said this
does that account the boss' defense and damage reduction?
its happened so many times i had to dig up a document doing math in order to give irrefutable proof
boss doesnt exist
thing is years old
omni moment
The document's more game mechanics than lore though
though oddly enough the nuke damage calc was first shared by cei of all people
not sure if it was before they became a dev or not but if it was far before the rewrite anyways
quite odd
nuclear bomb lore:
gauss nuke (ares)
plague nuke (pbg)
no hydrogen bombs exist in calamity
theres your nuclear bomb lore
its not like theres any way to prove that nuclear fission can occur in cal anyways
There's a bestiary entry that mentions Draedon using nuclear power
But if that's comparable to real-world fission and fusion is debatable
ok well yeah i guess the acid rain does prove that fission is plausible
the nuclear enemies...
as for the hydrogen bomb it is probably possible to make
cobalt can be used to set off the atomic bomb required for the hydrogen bomb to detonate
Make a cobalt bomb, kill all life on the planet to spite Draedon
uranium being required to make a nuke is really just not true
plutonium bombs did exist for a time but cobalt also works though never proven because uranium is just better
so like
yeah
irl nukes could be made in cal
Plutonium does exist in Calamity lore
considering that that is a sulphuric sea entry i think draedon has used it at one point
is it possible that he just failed to make the bomb work
Combined with the Gamma Slime entry, it makes sense
Also Draedon probably isn't fond of a high-power nuke that can so thoroughly damage the environment
i mean yeah i guess
He mentions that he has no intent to irreversibly damage the planet or its life or whatever
good guy draedon with the morality!
That's the whole reason I think
Science is all the morals you need
Why bother making a weapon so destructive it literally leaves nothing useful behind
"Draedon is an amoral monster beyond compare." ❌
ok this one is straight up a lie on yharims part
this isnt due to him not knowing lmao
finally found a direct knowing lie that yharim says
He's not entirely wrong, actually. "Amoral" is an accurate descriptor of Draedon
Draedon's motivation is science, not morality. He doesn't want to destroy a bunch of potential data
but like yeah there is a large chance that draedon was like "wait what if i split an atom" at one point
he was only a couple steps away from making a functional atomic bomb
and from there the hydrogen bomb can also easily be done
well good to know that irl nuclear physics apply to calamity :D
Draedon's a supergenius, so if he really wanted to, a nuke would not evade his grasp
Wouldn't be surprised if he found out how to more effectively synthesize antimatter
antimatter is fucking weird
It's evil matter that converts itself and normal matter completely into energy when they touch
but like if a nuke destroys anything he could learn then antimatter certainly would
freakazoid
Yeah, which is why he wouldn't bother with nuclear weapons or antimatter weapons in-character
Large Draedon collider
any more than he already has*
Yeah
he just doesn't care abt any of it
good moral compass
not having morals is a moral in of itself
Now that I think about it
Draedon said he etched the circuitry of prototype exo prisms on the molecules of sea prisms.
Making a particle accelerator would be well within Draedon’s capabilities
Easily
yeah totally
anyways how do solar panels work in calamity
do they just suck up the primordial light and xeroc gets 0.00000000001% weaker
Set up an ungodly quantity of solar pannels, leech a significant portion of Xeroc's power and then throw a Tsar a him
maybe the real crusade was the renewable energy we got along the way
Xeroc just has to sneak up on sun at night fr fr
xeroc when he's exposed to a flaming ball of hydrogen that emits radiation in every direction constantly
Xeroc can control all plants clearly
Elden ring split being god thing but instead of Marika and radagon it's Silva and Xeroc
That would be interesting
I like Silva more
I'm new, it's nice to meet everyone!

sending u to the mines
this is the way we roll down here
trial by mines
and boiling
Quick question, what is Astrum Deus?
a worm that eats stars and shits out new ones
Oh ok
Also what is the nuclear terror?
It is way too confusing
It looks like a MUTO from Godzilla
It's not clear, my theory is that its a sulphurous skater horribly mutated by radiation and nuclear waste that draedon dumped into the sea
Oh so draedon is the reason it’s sulphurous
Just like a true American, draedon is polluting the world, one step at a time.
he's the reason why the radiation is so bad
it was sulphurous before that
unnecessary political statement
We have Essence of Eleum, and Permafrost sort of corresponds to that, and we have Essence of Chaos, and Calamitas sort of corresponds to that. Should we have a mage for essence of sunlight, or whatever it's called these days?
Actually, why are there weird elemental essences, but only for three specific elements that seem strangely picked? What do Ice, Brimstone, and Sunlight have in common?
They're not a very obvious trinity.
The closest thing I can think of that matches all those is like...
The legendary pokemon from gen 5? Where Ice represents reality, fire represents ideals, and lightning represents truth.
Or was it the other way around, it's hard to remember
ideals and truth are the other way around iirc
zekrom for ideals, reshiram for truth
I see
Well anyways, what's the deal with this weird sort of elemental trinity? And they combine to make "calamity"
Which is also weird
And not fitting
I would like to have an explanation for these things, or maybe have them changed a bit to make more sense
Oh, they also fit with the primary colors for human eyes: red, yellow, blue
(which is actually kind of half a lie made up by color theory, green is a primary color.)
essence of chaos
eleum
and uhh
sunlight?
what is core of calamity
why do you need ectoplasm to turn essence into cores
craftig mat
so youre saying there is no explanation and that its just a game mechanics therefore non canon

does core of calamity use buffed moon events materials
No
ok then i dont know
Me when half of all calamity content is non canon
xeroc vs 10 relativistic kinetic energy rockets
assuming the rocket is traveling at 0.5c, and weighs 500k metric tons
that's 6,951895501086306253247086e+24 Joules
basically continent level
for 1 rocket
10 of them are like multi-continent level
Xeroc
Essence of Ze' rock....
Maybe they're all related to fallen kingdoms
Havoc being azafure and sunlight being sky kingdom
Though idk if ice biome has a kingdom or not
iirc the snow biome used to be a large body of water before in Cal, but that could be completely wrong
but i've never heard of a notable city in it
Does essence of sunlight have anything to do with primordial light?
Well primordial light is straight up just sunlight
Xeroc lost a limb 600 years ago and the essence from that limb became essence of sunlight
Actually since they're called essence

Maybe they're related to gods
havoc being ravager (?), sunlight being xeroc obviously, eleum being some ice god idk
They should retheme eleum around water and move them to sunken sea
Same I agree
Actually that would be pretty cool
Would fit with the fallen kingdom theory
but well making something based off of a theory is silly
fallen kingdom by captain sparklez
I like the idea of calamity stuff centering around the 3 fallen kingdoms
Azufure, Ilmeris, unnamed sky civilization
one angry yellow man and his consequences
Was it yharim who destroyed the sky civilization?
I don't really remember
I'm ngl, I wish cloud elemental was turned into a boss fight for the sky Kingdom
it was fovos pretty sure
maybe a more proper miniboss instead of a full boss
Oh ok
cal minibosses are just kinda strong enemies
Yeah
And then cal clone and dungeon spirits to tie them in somehow
Somehow
what if the essence is like souls but without the actual soul energy or whatever
and adding the dungeon spirits replenishes that energy
which makes cores
and then ashes of calamity binds them together??
Cooking so hard rn
Ashes of calamity probably have soul stuff in it
So is respawning canon?
No
Yeah no
I mean I suppose you could headcanon a way your Terrarian is capable of respawning
But then it’ll remain exactly that
A headcanon
Yea
Basically the only canon fights in calamity are the first winning attempts
Also only scal and draedon(?) rematches are canon
You’re canonically just goated like that
Not draedon
Maybe not necessarily Draedon
Groundhog Day scenario
you keep respawning before you defeat a major boss at different points
Took a while to build the exo mechs
He could rebuild the exos but it would be far from instant
Yo
Maybe if you waited long enough but yeah
What if respawning becomes canon after you beat yharon
And I feel like he wouldn’t recreate them 1:1 if he did rebuild them, he’d try to make improvements
Since uhh
But it wouldn't change anything about the lore
Soul consume
I mean gameplay
Yeah
Would be impressive considering you don’t know the ascension ritual
Yea see
There are rituals for that?
Not instant
I thought you just kill and dinner to become a god
Yes
There’s a very specific ritual you have to do
One that, at this point, there’s nobody left alive who would ever tell you
First you place 9 gold blocks…
I wonder what's for dinner...
Auric soul!!!!
Only the last living gods, yharon and yharim know
Wrong ❗ gas leak
And they obviously will never tell you
💥
Yeah
The gods don’t really have a reason to tell you and either of the yhars telling you would go against every single thing they stand for
kill the bastard
he's a horrible person
he doesn't deserve a second chance
Would be funny to have the jungle tyrant npc
He killed millions of innocent people so he can't really be spared
Then put calamitas into brimstone crags with party girl and him
What
anyway i want to personally execute him
You can argue that SCal does or doesn’t deserve to be forgiven for her actions (the game chooses to forgive her) but SCal at least is remorseful about what she’s done
yharim regrets that he didn't kill enough
Yharim has sisyphus syndrome of "i dont regret jackshit"
Yharim is more of a “I did what had to be done”
I wouldn’t have the heart to kill her
he doesnt deserve the vegeta treatment
not even vegeta deserved the vegeta treatment
yharim car
Yharim mobile
The LGBTQ+ community does not forgive Godseeker Yharim
I have good news for you
would yharim and ferrothorn be friends
The Combine cut ties with Godseeker Yharim
Could be, I have no fuckin idea who ferrothorn is so I can’t say
how could yharim be homophobic when draedon
Braelor and Statis
He fought the only canonically gay couple
canonically homophobic
Chat is this real
why do i imagine Scal having an Espurr
that man is not burnt enough
ganondorf
The Great Godseeker Yharim when he:
solos the verse :3
Four Terrarians holding megasharks (lbgs):
Don’t care
Yharim when some challenge youtuber kills him with a wand of sparking
scal vs fatalis at who gets defeated in the weirdest ways possible by challenge ytbers
Noxus getting their ass kicked by a challange YouTuber with a lawnmower
nobus
noxus when you pull up with a xus
Nameless deity watching a challenge ytuber beat his divine ass with a copper shortsword
He’d probably think it was funny
Uhh basically the rulers and gods of that word so
Yeah
God club
SCal try not to die to a fucking stick challenge
ice iirc was just representing emptiness
They are canon we just don't know why it happens difnf
Tbf we might never get an explanation
But it seems interesting to know how they're important
Just saying "millions" kinda understated it

i mena, it's CORRECT
but when you say just "millions", the default though is single digits
It is logistically at least a hundred million
how big is the continent we play on
Don’t think we even know there size of the calamity world
If death isn't Canon, does that mean Draedon calling you an imperfection is not Canon?
probably
when does he do that? its not listed on the wiki
Death as specifically dying, not the difficulty
When you die
"An imperfection after all, what a shame" or smth
maybe its just not documented
strange
anyway yeah, if its only on death then its just for a hypothetical "what if you lost to exo mechs"
Almost feels like before you actually pass out you hear Draedon say it
But he doesn't actually remember
Ohhhh...
So it's DEFINITELY not canon
well
boss checklist despawn messages can have useful canon info but yeah, they dont canonically occur
Hey can you explain the discussion about the core of calamity stuff and the essences from the above conversation
Why would I
Idk, you usually reply with an explanation to stuff
So like
What are essences
Why do we combine them with ectoplasm to make cores, and why do they make the core of calamity
What makes the core of calamity so important sounding that it has the name of the mod in it
it's called that because of ashes of calamity
Lmao “why would I”
Only super basic stuff I'm not sure will even be able to be properly delved into in-game
born to dilly dally, forced to lock in
azzy locks in
So Yharim killed 100 000 000+?
is murasama canon or not
Tf did that many people actually live in Terraria
Uhhh likely not
Unless it’s some draedon’s experimental weapon or smth
i mean maybe the reason we dont see that many people is because they're all dead yknow
we only play on a single sliver of a continent while iirc yharim's crusade was global
Mmm makes sense
Did Yharim’s crusade ever end, did it just cease, or is it ongoing somewhere?
nah hes just chilling
It kinda just fizzled out after all the important people left
there's still, like, four gods left alive so technically it's ongoing
the alive gods are really strong or evasive
but there's not much steam in the engine at this point
So it just ceased basically
Yeah
What’s the average strength of a god?
Slime god is considered puny and providence is super damn strong apparently
A bit stronger than the average auric dragon, who are about as strong as the eidolon wyrms in the abyss
You talking about the regular or the big one?
some gods are weaker and stuf
The regular one
like xeroc pretty strong
Yea he literally has pl
Primordial wyrm is stronger than Providence, who is stronger than average
the primordial wyrm is stronger than all but one auric dragon that ever lived iirc
zeratros being that one stronger dragon
I’m talking about like the average strength the gods have
ik, i was just expanding in the other direction, since that was already being answered and i didn't have much different to say
So would this ”average” god be placed where in the progression?
Post moon lord
When did the eidolons start appearing
by stats i think eidolon wyrms are like, late hardmode boss level? or maybe about moon lord
probably somewhere in hardmode
Oh really?
i'm guessing mid hm
Late hm/early post-moon lord perhaps?
Ngl I never go to the abyss so I forget where the eidolon wyrms are in progression
cause the dragons fucked up fovos
Gotta be past dragonfolly right?
in progression, they are post-polty, but they're only minibosses
so you can't base it on that
Hm…
id say empress if the average god tbh
yharim states that "much of dragonkind was lost as casualties in that struggle" so probably a majority died
Is empress a god?
No
dragons arent that strong
Or like some minion of big x
thought she was lowkey
It’s some random fairy that started doping on primordial light
oh right
I see
But she works for one that lets her get primordial light (I assume xeroc)
yharim dont like people messing with prim light
she doesn't necessarily have a direct connection to xeroc that we know of (lore item being vague + yharim not being infallible)
for all we know, the closest link they might have is that they both are related to PL in some way
there's one thing i did notice in the lore item
"It made her sickeningly obedient. Dependent, but willingly so as they enabled her to slake her base thirst."
"they" might refer to xeroc
Them/themeity
I don’t see any way another god could get primordial light
Hence why I think it’s Xeroc
Looking at their stats, dragonfolly and eidolon wyrms are pretty close. Though obviously dragonfolly ends up being a tougher fight because it’s an actual boss
Plus doesn’t folly spawn children aswell
Yeah
So it’s like fighting a dragon plus some
But since dragonfolly is a boss no other mobs can show up when you fight it, unlike with minibosses
Even lore-wise, Calamity's Abyss is a much, much, much more hostile environment than Thorium's Aquatic Depths. Am I correct?
Pretty sure only recently is when it got as much fish and plants as it has
Before it used to have no plants and probably less fish
Idk
There are eidolon wyrms and such as predators so I’d say probably
Also, Aquatic Depths aren't as deep as Abyss is, so that also counts. And it's fouled-up air clears after a certain boss is defeated, so that hazard is too, temporary. Even then it's trivial to get air replenished in Aquatic Depths.
iirc abyss has been inundated with plant and animal life over a very long time
it took a long time to reach how it is
Though silva def made that process quicker
Because without Sylva, there wouldn't be plants at all (because it would normally be too deep for them to exist at the depths they are encountered in, so magic is definitely at play).
I keep thinking that I'm just spreading misinfo and am worried that's all im doing
btw, stat wise Calamitas claps Thorium's Final Boss, but how would their confrontation go lore-wise?
the abyss depths would be horrifying irl, specially with how fast you drown
Pressure doesn't increase as rapidly IRL...
...or does it?
1 atm worth of pressure per ~10 meters of depth. That is how fast pressure increases over depth IRL
I have yet to see calcs for Calamity's Abyss.
still i feel like it would scar you if you somehow used a magic mirror or return potion as you were losing health, you would probably be left crippled
Even mere 100 (plus\minus few dozen) meters of depth is enough to implode suboptimally build DIY submersibles (remote-controlled of course, no one is dumb enough to risk themselves, especially after Titan's disaster).
what im most scared of i think is the pressure so rapidly affecting your body
Not really scarred in that sense
More like pressurized or whatever
Freedivers IRL got as deep as ~300 feet underwater, but it comes after years of training and very thorough preparations.
i think traumatized fits more
Barotrauma is a thing. And it is a nasty condition.
IRL aspect of deep dives that Calamity ignores (for good reason - it wouldn't be fun in Terraria's context), is toxicity of various gases under enough partial pressures (and saturation of blood with gases that diffuse into blood cells as pressure increases, which causes bends when you surface too fast).
Yeah
That’s why you gotta ascend slowly
To like stabilize hydrogen or whatever
Nitrogen more commonly.
Yeah nitrogen
Hi lore chat i just woke up from a nap
When you surface too fast, Nitrogen gets released from the blood cells and forms bubbles. Which are a bad thing in a bloodstream if you know anything about hydrodynamics and biology.
hello cheese
you know, i doubt the people who found out the eidolon wyrms react to teleportation magic like the rod of discord found out without at least one death
that must have been a very quick but hopefully painless death
Oh this reminds me
I had a dream i was in tgw abyss
I saw a eidolon wyrm and there also was a weird eidolon looking squid creature
Maybe
I also dunno about this
Idk about thorium powerscaling
who was the thorium final boss remind me
primordials iirc
Idk
I know Zenith uses Auric Bar to craft is for balance purposes
but itd be neat if there is a lore for the sword
the lore is that melee has like 5 different endgame crafting tree swords while some of the other classes barely have 1 weapon
"summoner is the worst class" SHUT THE FUCK YOUR MOUTH YOU PIECE OF SHIT I DID NOT GO THROUGH 4 YEARS OF BALANCE PATCHES AND NEW WEAPONS JUST TO BE CALLED A DUSTY BITCH
ah sweet bait i wanted worms
How would canon Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog series of games fare in Calamity world?
*If we also consider Tails Adventures canon.
with chaos emeralds then he solos all of calamity
i think it depends on if he can comprehend the tech he finds
he's a better tinkerer than even the terrarian so
super tails would fuck up scal and exos
I'd argue tails could beat everything besides xeroc tbh
He doesn't have genuine things, but he can mass-produce Fake Chaos Emeralds en-masse if he needs to.
true
super tails IS a thing
that depends on if the chaos emerald are carried over
cause if yes then yeah he can beat basically everyone
Chaos Emeralds aren't carried over in this scenario, but he can always create Fake Chaos Emeralds in however large a quantity he wants. Once he figures out how with local materials.
this dude can figure out completely alien to him tech and reprogram it easily
don't forget tails in sonic the hedgehog 2 being invincible
Script-controlled one (when you're in Sonic+Tails mode). Not player-controlled one (when you play as Tails).
smh
Yeah. Tails would rival Draedon right from the start with ludicrous IQ.
Fun trivia - Tails and Eggman have the same IQ, being 300.
i feel like draedon would be really interested in Tails
hell he would possibly try straight up kidnapping and studying him
The only problem though... Tails can be just as bad at names as Terrarian sometimes, especially when he runs out of "sciency technobabble" to (try to) explain stuff.
@mighty zenith Also, am I the only one who has a hilarious mental image, where Eggman presents his yet another diabolical creation to certain ever annoying hedgehog, only for Draedon to casually chime in, take few notes of Eggman's poor design choices, and show how it's really done.
I don't think that's enough to rival draedon
im just imagining eggman pulling up in like, the egg dragoon then getting immediately slammed into the ground by ares
That sounds really cool actually wait
That was my mental image as well.
Yea but my iq is 2 and I beat draedon every playthrough so
tails has got this
you didn't beat draedon
Yes I did
