After this Yharim saw potential in her because well the toddler just blew up a city even if unwillingly so Yharim recruited her into his army. Calamitas would be more or less fathered by Permafrost who at this time was Yharim's counselor. Permafrost told her about magic and tried to be a Actually Good Father Figure but unfortunately Yharim filled her with Propaganda Soup and took her in funny little secret missions behind Permafrost's back. One of these resulted in the incineration of Illmeris, the sunken sea's now destroyed kingdom. Mind you, all of this happened while Calamitas was still a teenager, according to devs around her 13-16 years, possibly.
As Calamitas grew up she'd eventually realize the horrible things she had done under Yharim's lies and manipulation and the last drop of water for her to finally leave his army was when he asked her to kill Permafrost, who had left his ranks prior. Not being able to kill her own father figure, they had a tearful confrontation or something along those lines, whatever that may mean, and it ended up resulting in Permafrost being sealed inside Cryogen, but not killed.
