Either way, Yharon's just going to be revived a couple of decades or some other amount of time later.
Then again, maybe he's just gotten himself into another situation where people plan to give his soul off to somebody like they tried with Yharim. The only reason I can think he'd do that is cause he's tired of living for hatever reason, and if he doesn't (and was smart about it,) I doubt he'd do this intentionally.

There were multiple Auric Dragons, each with an Auric soul and different domains (Light, Life, Death, Gluttony, Storm, etc). Yharon is the Dragon of Rebirth, and with his rebirth powers, he could revive himself and other Auric Dragons (as long as their soul exists).
The other Dragons died permanently because their souls were absorbed.
There are draconic offshoots, however - Dragons that were born without Auric souls. Some examples of offshoots are the Wyrms, Fishrons, Follies and Wyverns.
