single class armors allow for better specialization in effects and set bonuses
having an armor be 5-piece (is boring) forces the armor to be more generalized and therefore loses its flexibility in being unique or interactive for the player outside of tacked on stats/buffs
wait is the only case of 5 class helmet armor in vanilla just ore armor?
you also shouldnt be under the mindset that you should be allowed to use and play anything as a single class

just roughly looking at rogue accessory, these are overpowered: Abyssal Mirror (dodge + stealth gen + damage), Dark God Sheath (guaranteed crit + 50% stealth strike + gen + damage + crit), Eclipse Mirror (let's just combine the former 2 OP accessory to save 1 slot), Electrician Glove (with some weapon this is pre-nerf Spectre bar lifesteal without being nerfed by lifesteal nerf), Moonstone Crown (this thing has ridiculous damage), Vampiric Talisman (just give rogue a 1 accessory lifesteal why not), Ruin medallion (early 50% stealth strike), Nanotech (combined accessory, again)
and the bunch of projectile spawning accessory but I dont know which one are still OP
melee is nowhere rogue, it is more that melee weapon are broken, the inherent accessory and armor set of the class is not even good

the only 1 truly completely overpowered melee accessory is Bloody Worm Scarf (and tipsy buff I guess)
and rogue has progression based accessorys
that thing give 10% melee damage, 10% melee speed and 10 DR, for no reason whatsoever, so it is best in slot for like, literally to post-Scal

ya it is mostly these two accessory that is the problem, abyssal mirror just give dodge (which is a core defense mechanic that other class just can't get unless ninja belt/heavy accessory investment) and dark god sheath invalidate crit (stealth strike is best damage, now it also guarantee crit)
and things like tarragon rogue armor that for some reason is just a titanium armor set
imo what makes abyssal mirror dodge so broken is that it just happens

scarfs is inherently broken, ninja belt line means lossing valor option which are debuff immune + knockback immune, any other dodge accessory have even higher cost
meanwhile rogue gets an effect that they always want (ie stealth gen), that later get combined into an accessory with all desired effect (eclipse mirror) because it need to inherit the effect
I am not saying "remove dodge from abyssal mirror" and thats it, I am saying replace the dodge with a different effect, that is not universally used across accessory and what is usually a major investment

then if you don't want an argument that apply both way I will just use a more opinioned based argument: autododge is inherently unhealthy for the game in that it promotes passive playstyle (or "rewarded for not doing anything" playstyle), hence it was given a cooldown to begin with
if it is up to me the dodge effect should always be associated with a high cost (such as an entire accessory slot) to essentially punish the player for specing for a more passive build that do not rely on player's own skill to do better at the fight
in this sense, abyssal mirror just break the above rule as it basically has an effect that usually require significant investment, just seemingly given and inherited (and worse case later into eclipse mirror), which is why they should be given a different effect instead

Eclipse Mirror and Dark God's Sheath are basically the basis of every post-Cultist to endgame stealth rogue setup
and i believe that every single stealth rogue weapon after that point wind up getting balanced around it
so by changing this fundamental accessory of almost every build in the game
you're risking to upset a large part of the game's balancing
you could say the same thing about summonee to an extent with the starbuster core & the spirit glyph i think

Any armour below taragon does not include the set bonus of the offensive profaned guardian from the profaned artifact
So because you can’t deal damage as the offensive guardian doesn’t spawn, the challenge to deal only that damage with the artifact to get the profaned crystal.
However the amour like taragon and bloodfare all have a passive -AOE, so it prevents you from doing the challenge
fearmonger summons the offensive guardian and has no passive damage iirc
fearmonger is a tier below (if you are attempting it immediately)

I think the old power cells as an item could get a makeover, but until we know whether you can IL edit the plant requirements on altar, that's probably the extent of the solution

Yes, I actually discussed this with the dev the item was based on; they told me that making changes like I wanted to give it some use, would be completely unbalanced or hard to balance it.
However, they have allowed me to suggest some vanity changes to the profaned soul crystal.
I have done the challenge, and completed it, after doing so I achieved the item, however I noticed pretty quickly that there was no indication that you got it from the challenge or created it.
So I talked with them, and they said suggesting a indication and maybe alterations to the vanity of the item would be allowed, so I will be doing that once a think about it clearly.
I don’t think the challenge should be changed, anyone who says it is too specific aren’t willing to put the work into it, challenges are meant to be a challenge, but not impossible.
It takes about 2 hours, going back and fourth, the issue is the fact that providence at night is so much different from day, so maybe preventing providence from changing due to the time, so if you spawn providence in day, you fight her then, or if you want night spawn her night, or shouldn’t really change depending on time as it makes this challenge so much harder than it actually is, so I will agree alterations should be made, but the core challenge shouldn’t

Yes I agree, but I think the armours passive isn’t really useful, AoE on both of those are finicky, and instead to be something else; which would mean the challenge can we done with those and no need to change item
I think the problem lies with summoner armor, in that their set bonus is almost always a summon
so no matter what they change there will always be a summon, and affecting the challenge, especially that with moving max minion onto set bonus mismatching armor is not even possible

Well, I think moving it over to the night version of providence isn’t a solution, however now I see maybe it is tedious but like all challenges it takes time to accomplish; not challenges have some sort of tedium to them.
You could say that for night time providence, she is fast your can die quickly, but at the end of the day you just have to kill providence, in that time if you haven’t got the skills you may have died millions of times, if that isn’t tedious then I don’t know what is; that’s a core of a challenge it has an element of tedium which gives credit to those who do it.

Weaver is bad. He has a single attack on each phase, the second phase is an endurance test with a single fucking simple attack, and the first actually used to telefrag you. It's gotten better but I still don't like it and it's a objectively bad Boss fight

The reason I dislike Fishron is simply because I think the fight is way too repetitive. The loop is cool, but having to nohit that guy I lost my fucking mind because I had to redo it over and over. But it's not bad, the loop is amazing for a simple fight, and it's a completely fair experience since everything can be telegraphed
