Tbh I dont even mind some of the malice bosses, the expectation was always for people who think death mode is too easy and have no expectation of it being balanced (at least for me)
I like some of the fights like twins, pbg, (pre 1.5.1) dog, even yharon to some extent
It is just it also have pure "tf is this" fight like astrum aureus and profaned guardian that obviously should not exist
I just think the "this is a boss refight mode but you can do it on tier" added many unnecessary inherent toxicity, rather than just say "yo we overbuffed these bosses in this mode good luck haha"

I think I already made the comparison, the current situation is as if in difficulty selection below Master Mode it says "For the Worthy" as selectable difficulty, and trust it will likely be flamed much more than Master Mode
That is basically what is happening with Malice right now, because you put it together with Revengeance and Death activable item it is implied that it is the "highest default difficulty"
The suggestion is to make it much more optional

I feel like comparing it to FTW is the closest comparison to be made, and in that case most people simply don't know FTW even exist (or even will try it out other than just Youtubing it) which is why it is more well received despite it being much more obnoxious than Master Mode

malice unironically have some unique AI change on some bosses, , in other case sometimes just increasing the speed completely change the dynamic of the fight

@dense ferry what are you using trophy for? since it (by vanilla purpose) is basically obtained as a symbol of you mastering a boss (or in a non-glorified word, after you fight a boss a lot)
so it inherently do not make sense that you always get trophy on first kill, unless there is a specific need for trophy that it brings some benefit to the player for dropping on the first kill or not
or you can refer to vanilla master mode which has "relic" on first kill, but that is more the reward of master mode than anything else
unless you make your suggestion based on something like "trophy always drop on first kill for Death Mode" or something like that

With the ideas of trophy’s, I believe malice mode should be able fo drop them once you deafest then, however I don’t believe adding this feature to the other difficulties is good.
Terraria, involves grinding this is a fact, what’s the point in having a trophy you could have got without actually putting the effort in, killing it once is a good thing, but I generally believe you should keep the same skill.
So maybe just make malice mode drop it on kill, because at the moment there really isn’t any benefit to malice mode, well other than increased difficulty

Give Deus a final stand phase
Astrum Deu:ses 2nd phase splits deus into 2 worms. In order to win, you only have to kill one. This makes an odd situation, were you don't have to do a single point off damage to the other worm, and it still dies. On ending the fight the other one just explodes.
This in my eyes has a room to be made into a new death subface, were the other not dead worm goes berserk for a few seconds before dying. It could be like Sions passive from league of legends, were the dying worm can't shoot but just ram you w amplified speed. This could take like 5 seconds, after wich the worm dies and drops the loot bag.
Reasoning is that now the other worm just dying is weird, cause the fight makes the worms not connected in the slighest. Thus the other worm has no reason to die, it could just keep fighting. They don't share a health bar, don't do pair attacks, just are two bosses off their own. (And the berserk phase would be cool cmon)

Readd Braelor and Statis as bosses.
Health: Braelor 430000 Statis 350000
Damage: Braelor 250 Statis 295
Summoned with Soul Lantern, crafted with 100 of each hardmode soul
Fought just after Providence, and all other bosses cannot be fought until they have been defeated.
Braelor would charge at you and shoot soil blasts, and Statis would teleport around you and stab for massive damage as well as stop time and spam knifes (Sakuya reference).
Drops legendary weapon Hero's Last Hour and debris bars, which can be crafted into Braelor's Gauntlets (melee) or Statis's Knife (throwing, should be connected to rogue) with shadowspec bars and the rock as well as Soul Bombs, which deal (number of bosses defeated)^9 damage, plus Devourer's Will, a consumable which adds an 8th accessory slot and gives the ability to toggle deathmode changes besides boss AI changes.
If beaten with Crystyl Crusher, they drop Bedrock Blade, which inverts the right and left click functions of the pickaxe if favourited in the inventory. If entering a world without Bedrock Blade, all grounded bosses gain infinite jump height to stop players from cheesing them. By the way, Crystyl Crusher needs a resprite, the sprite looks mildly bad. All pickaxes should also deal rogue damage since they feel more like rogue weapons. This would also make pickaxe-only runs more tolerable.
After Braelor and Statis have been defeated, frames/mannequins/weapon stands can now display modded items. The bug causing this would have to be fixed, of course.
A buffed version of them spawns before the Yharim fight when it's added, and Yharim spawns in after they're defeated.

because to my knowledge both seem to work, unless you mean armor base stat
I tested it with stat meter, unless the bug also lie to stat meter it should at the very least, the offensive part be working (unless it is the melee/MS speed part)
its something to do with getting more stats then intended

we rebalanced every vanilla and calamity resource-collecting tool to progressively scale through each tier consistently
making it toggleable would mean needing to find each of those individual changes and reverting them in a toggle config

because the item you get that let you move fast (boots, gizmo pack, mining speed) DO still make you pick/move/place faster, just your base speed is faster

pick is probably too high effort (due to how calamity implemented it), they increased the speed of each individual pickaxe
movement speed as blast said is pretty much impossible because it has a big hand on cal balancing now

this sound super strange but having endurance potion effect make the adamantite crit "unbugged", coincidentally I was using it after 1st mech so it was working
and any other damage reduction effect do not work, only base vanilla endurance potion

ya it is vanity which makes it hard to find a reason to make it guaranteed, because there are many thing chance based
most notably all boss drop (like ML weapon drops) and the (no longer legendary/challenge drop), all have 10% which you can argue it is QoL to make them 100% drop chance
especially with a vanity that somewhat signifies "mastery of a boss" I think it will be much more fitting to have it drop at 100% on higher difficulty (either Death or Malice, since Revengeance already have Adrenaline and Rage) will be more fitting, than just make it 100% on all modes
increasing the chances of the boss vanity as the mode difficulty increases? hell yeah
If it were for a difficulty, Death for sure. Malice is just 0% worth it

The only tracer that is half decent is celestial, because in chaotic fight like exo sometimes the i-frame can save you (and you dont really need full flight time of drew wing with draconic elixir)

The only realistic way to buff tracer I can think of is to give tracer wings hover (from an old suggestion), to emphasize their superior horizontal speed in both air and ground, with the trade off being their shit flight time

ive been thinking about making a suggestion about the bloodflare, tarragon, and silva set bonus minions, cos they are either super inconsistent or never hit at all except in specific circumstances
tbf i think the bloodflare bombs are pretty good and diversify themselves from other minions in a hard hitting, but very slow, way, and they don't have much clutter, but silva crystal requires enemies to stay in one spot after it targets it because of the prolonged blast, and the tarragon life aura hardly does anything + it's so hard to tell it's actually there at all, doing anything, unlike any other summon. also, a separate thing, but the tarragon aura in lower light settings make basically the entire screen glow bright green and it looks kinda wack
i think the crystal can be easily fixed by having the crystal blasts occur immediately after the summon's like. light line things? hit their target, and actually upon thinking about it the bloodflare bombs are good imo, so long as they have sufficient damage. but the tarragon minion i think could be much different

therefore the fireball being instantaneous speed the moment it is fired only super heavily affect close-mid range weapon, making them even more unviable than it already is against DoG
the suggested change is to make close-mid range weapon slightly more viable, while it do not really affect range weapon
what is the point of keep enforcing the easy to play playstyle? instead of making the high risk high reward playstyle actually rewarding? rather than just too high risk to balance the reward

its the gonna-hit-you-for-a-freight-train's-worth-of-damage-point
that is why it is HIGH RISK, high reward, the head take 1.1x damage instead of 0.025x because of 97.5% DR, the current problem is the fireball basically make staying close to head completely more unviable than it already is because you will just get hit by the fireball (eventhough you dodged the head)
another problem is DoG actually stop firing fireball when it is close to the player, and then it can just randomly continue firing anyway, which causes the problem mentioned because you are expecting it to not fire
last phase (<16.5%) it is constantly firing a stream of fireball so it is fine, but before that it basically is a cheapshot by randomly changing mechanic
DoG’s fireballs don’t really feel appropriate for the rest of the fight somehow
Dunno what it is but they just feel out of place

well, do fights with on-tier bosses for each minion, with auric on both scal and exos (cos i know the crystal in particular thrives in certain circumstances in both bosses, but never hits in certain parts)
i know for sure the crystal can't attack through blocks
