like yeah archer fish for example is better than the rays
archer fish is straight up different class
but mage has stronger points during the game
different class comparison dont really make sense, like how do you compare summoner with other class, or burst damage of stealthstrike with consistent damage of ranger

For the sniper scope thing, I think there can be a few reason there:

many player just upgrade their accessory to the final version, it is generally a no brainer solution except that upgrading destroyer emblem just happens to give a completely different effect if you are not used to it (just like how elysian was "better" than asgardian aegis) with no way to disable it

Weapon with right click most of the time is legendary/challenge drop, so you are punished from using possibly BIS weapon or forced to refarm Demblem

the town npc part do get somewhat annoying, yes accessory swapping but at the sametime constant accessory swapping also gets annoying

sniper scope differs from previous "visibility disable effect" case in that it has no actual visual component, so disabling visual of sniper scope have no downside

@tardy smelt generally for weapon buff/nerf suggestion you always have to provide solid stat, such as kill time and average dps etc, basically without proper stats (unless the case is REALLY obvious), it generally is hard to get accepted
so at least try to use it on like polterghast and show kill time and dps, ideally with full video (since otherwise it is super hard to judge whether the performance is on average level)

bloodflare core design is weird in that it is a doubledown effect
it is intended to be extremely good for high defense build while also buffing high defense build, instead of the otherway around
it is like necklace of vexation give you max hp while also give you damage if you are above 50% (instead of lower than 50%), or if rampart of deity gives you DR at higher hp (which prevents you to get into low hp to begin with)

it stays black for the entire fight in death mode
if you are referring to Death Mode then it should be acknowledged that Death Mode is played by generally more experienced people who have at least some knowledge of how the boss works (just like how king slime and DS are allowed to be difficult in Rev and especially death)
I dont think using Death Mode as an argument is solid, you are expected to have a good idea of the boss if you are playing Death Mode, at least that is the assumption
the changing of AIs is unpredictable for the most part, and the acceleration is instant. I get that Death Mode is supposed to be hard, but I feel that there should at least be some time to react the speed change
and changing 1 out of 2 of its main AI to some extend might be considered as a rather large scale rework, though I dont know the particular of how it is considered
it is less that "Death Mode is supposed to be hard", but more that "you are expected to be more experienced if you are playing Death Mode", particularly that you might be expected to had played the mod in lower difficulty before
Revengence is generally the considered "standard difficulty", which is why exclusively using Death Mode for reference can be unfair
I realize that Death Mode has elements that are supposed to be unfair, but 700 damage due to a speed change that's nigh impossible to see coming seems kinda harsh

In cases of being near his head due to weapon ranges, this can cause high damage, unfair hits due to the player not knowing he was going to switch. A possible warning could be to have DoG himself slightly change color before his AI changes. If he is about to change to Crawltipede AI, he could change to a subtle blue, and a subtle purple for Worm AI.
