granted, we haven't had that much in terms of updates w/ worldbuilding because most development time has been used for testing and foundational changes. it can be inferred that future updates will probably lean more into it especially with what's been shown off in regards to the mist ocean, etc

Me not being able to kill a boss isnt the main reason i want a new boss, it was just an idea of where to put the boss if it was added since those are the parts that i really struggled with the most

if you want wulfrum armor to be useful, the first step is not to "add a whole boss" but rather just to add hardmode variant of wulfrum enemy
if it is still not enough, THEN you proceed to new boss, you don't just skip 1 phase
so your suggestion literally do not have to be "based on adding a new wulfrum boss", you just have to suggest making wulfrum stay relevant in hardmode by adding new enemy or drops
me when something exists for only one phase of the game:

gold/plat armor is extremely costly compare to wulfrum (because of how much gold you need to mine), so wulfrum still have its place, in your case: transition from no armor to gold/plat armor
so I suggest based your suggestion more around making wulfrum armor (or a new hardmode variant) hardmode viable
if that is your intention
a hardmode wulfrum enemy would be sick, but you are right, there is actually no need for a boss
ya, a boss is very hard to be implemented through suggestion, suggesting hardmode wulfrum enemy (or even just same enemy with buffed stats and new drop) is much more likely to happen
since currently all wulfrum do is to occupy spawn rate of other enemy in hardmode

the only thing i used wulfrum for actually was the summon for early game, but the squirells arent much worse
for melee and ranger it is ok, debately also ok replacement for rogue, desert prowler is super rng heavy for its effectiveness and melee I am not aware have class specific armor that early
jungle can be hard to explore early on, and wulfrum is basically transition to jungle armor
does not mean the wulfrum weapons are pointless (staff is good option for summoners until mining can be done for gem staffs)
i could argue that something is way more powerful and relatively easier to get as a weapon but i litterally forgot what i used as my main weapon early game
most of wulfrum weapon is ok, at least good enough, considering you can get most of them like 5 minute into the game
you can literally have a wulfrum enemy spawn the moment you start a world and have enough surface lead/iron to craft an anvil
ohhh yeah, i built up and found an enchanted sword in one of the planets, took me like 10 minutes tho
wulfrum armor I despise (5 class helmets are cringe) so I'm not gonna go arguing on that point
enchanted sword shrine is more rng than you think, the shrine spawn is random in the world

imagine unstable wulfrum cores and you can make decent hardmode gear with them

it would be amazing if there was a wulfrum boss, even if it was really easy, just for the sake of either lore or another way to get cool stuff (my suggestion is before EoW (Eater of worlds is too hard to kill and i had to get the hellstone sword to succesfully kill it) or shortly after WoF (Cryogen was really hard to kill for me, even though its the first hardmode boss)
and also this entire part of suggestion can be removed, it don't really help your case
just say wulfrum enemy designs are unique that they should not be wasted on their potential as just pre-boss super early transition weapons and armor while in hardmode all they do is occupy spawn rate, give them hardmode variant/drop so that they have use in hardmode

Currently, Sepulcher's ability to delete any piercing projectile only makes things worse for the classes that can't destroy the hearts quickly while barely affecting the classes that can. By not instantly deleting any piercing projectiles that hit Sepulcher, it would make the 2 Sepulcher phases a lot less tedious for the classes that can't destroy the hearts quickly.

@orchid turtle Base damage does not equal power. There are a lot of different factors about a weapon that can allow it to deal respectable DPS even with a low base damage, such as fire rate, projectile count, pierce & repeat hits, i-frames, etc
It is far more helpful to provide Super Dummy DPS values and especially boss kill times, and compare them to other weapons at the same tier

tbh boss kill times aren't always a good way to determine if a weapon needs a buff, mainly if it's a crowd clearing weapon like blast barrel. Blast Barrel is fantastic early hardmode for just dealing with like. every single mob lol, but it sucks against bosses because it performs well everywhere else.
Calamity's secondary name of Terraria: Boss Rush Simulator doesn't really help with that though

this sucks both for the boss itself and his probes

This item barely even adds to the dps compared to many accessories that can be acquired at the same time or even far earlier into the game (examples include: old die, ethereal exhorter, affliction, amalgam, glove of precision, and destroyer emblem) due to how badly softcapped it is, changing the item to not be crippled as much by the softcap or possibly even reworking it would allow it to be a more noteworthy to use on its tier again.
