the only reasonable buff for out of arena enrage is either the player is inflict with permanent abyssal flame (or similar to prov out of range burning) or scal gain significantly higher damage
since you do kind of can cheese bullet hells by dropping out and going into the arena again (though at that point just use cheat sheet)

@red lichen thats intended. its meant to be good in hardmode because of the fact that its literally the top pre hardmode ranger weapon. which means your going to need it to help in hardmode getting your other weapons

I will just bring up a previous test again: star cannon can singlehandedly kill all pre-HM bosses before hive mind, cripple hive mind/perf, skeletron by more than 80% of their hp and to burst almost 60% total hp of slime god, in the span of 5 second of using adrenaline (with on tier armor a shark tooth necklace and full menacing as damage only)

okay i figured out a solution to this. basically, what you would need to do is just have an invisble, intangible, undamageable entity spawn at the center of the portal, and you can just show that on map
probably way too much effort for this kind of thing but
honestly you could get the same effect by just having dog do the actual teleport much sooner after the portal appears
(or get this: just make the projectile pulse)
I think just make portal 100% consistent that it always spawn at your screen
that way if you do not remember where the portal was it is 100% your fault (instead of spawning off screen and randomly get charged)
the problem is. portal stays around for a while before dog actually teleports, so you can easily lose track of it while trying to dodge a million attacks because its dog phase 2

ex: LuiAFK Mod adds Infinite Mana accessories, that doesn't mean we should give Supeme Mana Potions an additional function to compensate for the fact that it'd recover no mana while using those accs. i feel like part of that problem is the exact same as the exos issue: arena too big. like you can't just have it be a chase forever if you have a small enough arena that you have to weave between segments but since you can just build a comically large arena you can just kinda. run away forever

arena make most fights more interesting, because it allows the devs to design the fight around it
instead of allowing obscure strategy to become the optimal strategy (full world for exo)
the other approach is for it to do screen tracking attack (like most other mods does, or dog laser wall), which get kind of boring when you realise 90% of them requires line telegraph to work
giving dog an arena likely requires a rewrite of his ai

Give Stormlion Mandibles a wider use
Stormlion Mandibles are a fairly known item, being used in the Summon item recipe of Calamity's first boss.
Contrary to them being fairly well known, be it due to the Stormlions roaming the desert when you explore it or due to the Desert Medallion, this item (and the enemy it drops from) serve little purpose in the entire game.
Stormlion Mandible currently posses 2 recipes:
-Two are needed for the Desert Medallion, which is non consumable and therefore crafted once in a gametime.
-One is needed for the Storm Surge, a weapon that i would argue to be quite unknown, and serves little significance to any recipe nor shines in any way due to its behavior.
As seen, Stormlion Mandibles posses 2 single time uses, and then becoming unimportant in the grand scheme of the whole game.
Stormlion Mandibles, unlike other early materials like the Desert Feather, only posses one major use, especially after their removal from the Triumph Potion's recipe, their only resource sink.
After all of the above, I suggest that the Stormlion Mandibles be expanded on.
I could see the Mandibles being expanded on can be seen as sprinkled through various Electric themed weapons, to the likes of Stormfront Razor, the Storm Saber and etc.
Another way to expand the use of the Stormlion Mandibles could be providing them a new or multiple new resource sinks, to the likes of adding them to Tesla potions instead of the Gold / Platinum Ore.
