might need a complete rework in design because for something endgame it's really bland

I haven't tested the dps difference since it's a pain to actually hit unlike cel
I did try it once like 2 months ago and it did alright damage
Take any projectile shot by anything, when it passes through the rotor, let it keep going the way it was, make a clone of that projectile, multiply the damage by something (maybe 10 - 20x) and give it homing.
Give the rotor an accelerating shot so that it stays close to you for a bit longer to allow more projectiles to hit it.
Whenever it hits an enemy, let it emit flares of light (a bit like EoL's 'sun' attack) that have maybe 1/2 the weapon's damage but infinite pierce.
I need some advice on how this would feel to use, since I haven't used it for very long
but I feel like it would match the flashiness of other exo weapons

ok, just to get confirmation on people more experienced on rogue than me, since I was originally intending to suggest on slowing down post-ML mobile stealth gen but make stealthstrikes much stronger
since it can help balancing super strong stealthstrike like final dawn
fantasy talismans are sort of underpowered in stealth, but at least usable unlike many others
i thought they were pretty solid but eh

what the final time will be is inconclusive but it will not be almost 1/3 of an adrenaline
the one stealth strikes that I can say that are shit on post-ML are: Celestial reaper, Elemental disk, Cosmic kunai, Deific thunderbolt, Sealed Singularity, Toxicant Twister and Tarragon darts (on anything that is not a worm or OD) and to some extent Wrathwing and Refraction rotor (they suck but at least usable)
everything else is 
1/3 adrenaline is atrociously bad for balancing
wrathwing relies on enchantments to be good, RR is just kinda eh and pointless when you have Celestus
not necessary "sucked", but doesn't feel "impactful", I always feel like late game you simply have too high mobile stealth gen by default for just having the correct accessory (no reforge) and potion
instead of actually patiently waiting post-ML stealth just feels like have an attack speed delay
didnt feel like it was too much stealth unless i min maxed specifically for it
it's like almost 3 seconds endgame right

my concern is: should stealth strike have that much mobile stealth to begin with? I know there is a gameplay balance aspect of it (staying still = not good)
it just dump down stealth too much to just attack speed delay
first number is how many seconds to charge while standing
there's still a significant benefit to briefly standing still with stealth, and unlike mana the difference hits almost immediately
second is that but moving
standing still with stealth has been an opportunistic bonus more than anything
stealth is not a stat like mana
increasing stealth via means like silencing sheath is just a fancy way of saying "increased damage"

People just go "half tank" and say that defense is useless, the only time defende is useless is death malice due to absurd stats (or too high expectation, defense is more room for mistake not immortality)

I feel that you shouldn’t have to go full tank to reduce the amount of hits by a couple
The "by a couple" you say means a lot
Because DR especially you can overcapped over its softcap, if you full tank you still have softcapped dr after taking defense damage
Without full tank your dr dropped significantly after taking damage
The thing is (for average player that is not nohitter), quick is not that useful post-ML and menacing (or any damage really) get offset by RDR, so the objectively best choice is almost always warding if you keep getting hit
I believe that dd works through prehm and hm but when you get to moonlord it’s not great
Pre-HM is fine (you have way higher defense number than damage except like slime god contact), HM most enemy do not really do super high damsge (except levi and ravager)
Post-ML defense gets really good if you go full tank
Post-ML defense is so good to the point that if DD is to be removed then it has to be nerfed
My point is that a normal melee loadout shouldn’t be dying about as fast as the other classes
In calamity melee is not inherently much tanky than other classes outside of bloody worm scarf (1 accessory)
Which makes it bad for true melee
Because melee is basically projectile mage, in vanilla you have the illusion of melee being tank because of end game armor of beetle and solar, in calamity you progress pass that
True melee though is fucked over
True melee is not supposed to be a 100% balanced class, the only thing calamity does is give you more range and super high damage
It is up to you to take full potential on it not necessary calamity's job to give you the defense to tank bosses directly
defense imho is currently really viable
buffing it even more will end up removing all risk factor from using true melee
true melee shouldn't be purely tanking 100% of the time
you also probably shouldn't exclusively be using true melee, rather mixing both projectile and true depending on the situation but haha class challenge funny

true melee broadswords is the way of melee, projectile broadswords can go fuck themselves

My only complaim will be that they put too much defends on having absorber/sponge

The point of defense is more room for error, not immortality
The damage stacked with debuffs makes defense a basically useless stat

You can't facetank yes but if you aren't trying to do that DD is almost not a factor
Damaging debuff have 0 thing to do with DD or defense, the only one that actually do is dog whispering death, exo cursed flame and scal vul hex
there's a skill floor with defense damage though, if you're getting repeatedly hit it's going to hurt
Basically you dodge like normal, defense is so that you only take a small hit if you get hit
Do no expect to be able to sitstill and tank for that to be the only time when "defense is viable"
i think the most meaningful suggestion one could make on the topic of defense in general would be requesting a change to the time it takes to regain defense

I can't speak for the other testers/devs but requesting massive changes to stats post-ml seems unlikely after post-ml rebalancing was the biggest bottleneck for 1.5

there is currently a sound but it's difficult to hear in combat scenarios
The only one that I see massive complain is scal, since I always go tank (bad at games) it dont feel much, but apparently scal oneshot people
visual cues will always be significantly better than audio cues
provided there are space for them
But I feel like exo mechs damage is way more absurd
for my share of exo-mech balancing I was running a half defense, half damage setup and it was pretty viable from my experience
(as was pretty much everyone doing exo testing because we balance around a generalist build instead of something hyper-specialized)
audio cue is not something I'd really rely on in Terraria, where music and wepaon sounds and boss sounds and whatever the fuck are meshing horribly to the point that audio cues would barely show up within the clusterfuck
Ya it is viable, but for reference exo mechs do about same damage as scal except moon and bh1, on normal projectile
The amount of times I see people say defense sucks because of a mechanic that is only relevant if you’re bad or face tanking is amazing
honestly most of the complaints I see are just a result of people not understanding the changes and the reasons behind them

right now its sending every suggestion thats 160+ stars between when the starcount got raised to 270 and when the bot initially went online
which was ~120 ish
but normally it would, every friday morning est, send every suggestion above the 20% starcount threshhold from two weeks ago
so between 14 and 7 days ago, it averages the star counts through a formula for the suggestions during that time period, and sends the top 20% on friday morning to us
suggestions still have to go through a 2-day voting period in dev to be approved/denied
(what part was confusing)
What I'm getting is
it's currently sending suggs that are over 160 stars, and next week it will send the suggs with stars that exceed the top 20% of the starcount requirement from 2 weeks ago

but thats only a temporary thing
starting this friday, instead it will look at all the suggs between 14 and 7 days ago, and send the top 20% highest star counts from that batch
and it will do that every friday from then on
the star count is basically nonexistent

Farming enemies usually just feels less tedious compared to farming enemies for me I guess
well lunar event allows you to farm its enemies rather then have to kill the pillar straight away

well you just, farm enough fragments and then ruin the pillar
you usually wont need stocks and stocks of fragments regardless
