we are not talking about piercing being superior and you should shut your idea, we are talking about the fact that currently piercing is superior to explosion which is why there isnt many explosion weapons

well I think there should be a viable method of damage delivery other than piercing
to put it simply it is down to this: implementing a weapon is a high effort work: balancing, recipes, spirites, animations, projectiles... etc, you must have a solid reason to add a new weapon, preferably if its function are unique/needed to the game
Currently explosion weapons is just mostly outclassed by piercing and many weapons already have piercing, so a suggestion for adding more explosion weapon is not really essential
and simpler for this bottom part btw: Basically "add another weapon that does something that another type does better. because theres not enough love for it"

@snow bobcat I will just give a summary to why adding explosion weapons are not necessary/essential:
Adding weapons is a LOT of work, and this is the main point, otherwise calamity can just add 20k different weapon fit for every unique purpose
Only the second reason is that explosion are outclassed/replaceable by piercing which is currently widely available, therefore making adding new explosion weapons not really needed other than for the purpose of adding variety

@winter lotus Rampart of Deities still reduces potion sickness cooldown in current build, are you playing with any mods that cause a Calamity rebalance or something?
I just tested it myself with Omega healing pot and it went on 45 second cooldown, not to mention the wiki still mentions to potion heal.

Azuran is probably going min maxed glass cannon and/or having op equipment from other mods and being affected by the reactive DR, which again is barely even noticeable unless you’re playing death mode (where you can feel its there but doesnt do that much) and/or are using a weapon way beyond the tier before the boss was killed (like Celestus vs Providence), he does mention he struggles farming stuff so the only guess is that he’s on malice as it always has rdr

I do think the fight aside from the bh has become easier, but I’d guess it’s because if the introduction of the 2 bh’s
to be completely honest I haven't tried the fight myself but generally this is the kind of sugg you wanna double-check with other people
just to see if its not your personal bias getting in the way
just that usually these kinds of suggs request something to be nerfed rather than buffed

But it's hard to milk out as much damage the way it works
Why use T.Breaker over Burning strife, cobalt kunai or duststorm

After reading a bit of discussion, I came up with something stupid
- Normality relocator no longer requires RoD
- it's cooldown is 300 seconds
- rod has current cooldown but requires cosmilite and cosmic anvil
generally I dont think Calamity want to touch vanilla changing staff like this yet so unlikely to happen, early hardmode progression change is something that they belive everyone will appreciate/improvement on vanilla which is why it made the exception
because moving RoD from early-hardmode all the way to post DoG is something else

As in, each pixel contributes 4 bytes in the form of its RGBA values
This means that Ares' body is 1320x2016x4 bytes in size, or about 10.6MB
That doesn't seem right, cuz that implies that PNG is like the WAV equivalent for images, and as such it should always be massive
But there are instances where PNG files are smaller than "compressed" versions of the same files, particularly for images with limited palettes
like sprites
Then that means that TML's memory calculator is incorrect

We've had suggestions for duplicating shrine items in the past, I'm not sure how they were received by devs though if at all
its not about duplicating shrines
I say duplicating shrine items because that was the way to keep its multiplayer intentions pure
"Guarantee shrine spawns." was approved
"shrine locator tool" and "craftable shrine items" both got rejected
Some ideas were making NPCs sell it while having the shrine item in inventory or just having a recipe that spawns a copy of the shrine item without using up the original ala alchemy table
