im prty sure its possible but it just cannot be special effects
like, pink gel will act just like normal gel

It’s why vanilla pre-hm bullets and arrows are cool, arrows typically apply status effects while bullets pierce/do more damage/bounce
It creates actual different to the ammunition instead of just guns use this specific splitting ammo while arrows use this splitting ammo

How to crash 101
so i wanted to suggest making most HM+ flamethrowers be more slick/smooth in their movement to encourage their use and make them better to use and be played with, but i want to know if theres a reason for them to not be smooth like, terra burster for example in the first place, to know if i should even suggest this or not

Make acidwood placeable as a block + add acidwood furniture
To me it seems really strange that obscure themes like the sunken sea have their own furniture, but sulphurous sea doesn't. Plus, acidwood is the only wood that can't be used in building.

Is it just me or does the Goliath Sugg reasoning seem a bit odd, if anything plauge ringer is stronger queen bee, and even if it was weaker Duke fishron then it's only natural cuz it's earlier in progression, plus the last bit seems a just a tiny bit subjective, since the usefulness of a weapon is different for other people. (For example, i found the Gauss dagger useful while others don't exactly like it)
Same with the Duke fishron difficulty, it depends on the person how hard they find the boss, if you find him easy enough to beat with vanilla gear doesn't exactly mean everyone else does. Also Goliath is an optional boss so it's okay for it to feel like an add on I think

In response to Feedzuh's suggestion
I wouldn't say "delete ammo damage", instead I'd at least instead suggest that the ammo has a percentage-based damage increase for said ammo.
I'm not too keen on just getting rid of ammo damage altogether, but I can definitely understand feedzuh's issue with ammo variety being limited by damage.
Perhaps for instance, jester arrows are literally better than unholy arrows in every way, but we could make unholy arrows have an increased damage percentage than jester arrows.

Honestly, I think just removing ammo damage would be easier. It wouldn't even matter that much, if the Devs were to, let's say, buff ranged damage by a small percentage or smth

Really I bet that the ammos that rely on just damage (Ex: Unholy Arrows, Bone Arrows, Silver Bullets) would probably get some unique effect if ammo damage is rightfully snapped
Unholy arrows could apply a debuff, bone arrows could burrow through walls, silver bullet could maybe bounce from enemy to enemy

it completely shredded everything up till WoF
I mean, it's a slimegod drop, and slimegod is post Skeletron
It will normally shred everything past it's tier
At risk of going on a completely different suggestion I'll leave it at this: I don't think the Slime God is hard enough to justify that strong a drop :/
probably should wait to suggest changes for balance until 1.5
With a boss like Fishron, he's a big up in difficulty from other bosses of his tier, so it makes sense for his drops to be really strong

With Luxor's Gift I've found the Eldritch Tome is way higher in DPS than Abyssal
as for Clothier's Wrath, it's a rare weapon variant so it being stronger I can believe
And yeah Eldritch flunks a bit against WoF unless you do a really good job of managing hungries, but in single target DPS it's nearly unmatched
(for its tier ofc)
