Move Star Cannon's Progression to Post-Skeletron
we all know star cannon deals the highest ranged damage in pre hardmode, shoots quite fast, pierces infinitely and consumes fallen stars as ammunition, which is kind of hard to collect. but with some QoL mods and the ability to get this weapon and it's ammo pre boss(technically post eater according to vanilla and no hit progression), this high damage, infinite piercing weapon can easily shred pre hardmode bosses up to skeletron(even in death mode), which just makes other ranged weapons useless. With decent armor penetration/crit you can even use it on mechs/mech alts(cryogen and as, brimmy not included tho) without any problem. My suggestion is adding post-skeletron crafting materials to the crafting recipe of star cannon to delay the point where you obtain this powerful weapon. Some players use to make sky bridges in pre hardmode just to collect stars for this overpowered weapon instead of collecting resources for other upgrades and weapons, but if the weapon is moved to a later stage then players will have enough time to collect other resources as well as getting some stars as side quest(personal reference: i normally get around 200 stars from start of game up to skeletron assuming none is used, which is just enough for the rest of pre hardmode).
i'm not about to post it yet
I think the QoL thing doesn't make sense like, I can literally put a mod that gives me the ability to change my weapons damage and it would still be a QoL mod. The player is the one that can choose whether or not to use such mods.

Murasama is really overrated, if you consider that op oh boy you dont know theres some that are way better, 1.5 is gonna rebalance everything and Murasamaās insane drawback its the short range it has. It does have the potential to deal a lot of damage but its really hard to do specially on rev+ where scal is harder to reach due to all the projectiles

Belladonna's damage could be nerfed by 1 point and hopefully it'll still be strong enough to make braving the jungle worth it

Nah but calamity is balanced around revengeance anyway so most calamity weapons are on par or better than minishark

I downloaded Calamity after seeing the Murasama resprite in that trailer
And it feels so good to use.
It's the first time I really felt viable & engaging doing only true melee I think past early hardmode. I would have to reopen my world and look at all the weapons I collected to make sure that's true first, but the sentiment remains.
Ah yes, melee needs another subclass in addition to having Fucktons (approximate amount) of swords, as well as flails, spears, yo-yos, and short swords

maybe after first time deus is defeated the animation doesn't play
like how DoG used to have the sentinels phase which wouldn't happen after the first time DoG was defeated
