For one, it's actually useful on a decent selection of weapons, has many different accessories, is integrated with it's classes armor, etc
From what I've heard of 1.5, a lot of stealth issues will be fixed.
A REWORK OF BOMB ROGUE SUBCLASS/NEW MECHANICS
-for starters,
i want you to name every single subclass in the rogue class; you will most likely have two notable ones in mind
- the "other thrown" that might be boomerangs consumables and non consumables
- THE BOMBS; the more devastating of the bunch
but also the lacking one, you might say that the subclasses are in general lacking in unique gameplay since other weapons do offer AOF damage as well and this is why i'm suggesting a bomb rework.
first things first i imagine this mechanic to be more about the player's movement to land devastating bombs on enemies for the most part and stealth strikes to be ummm... to put it in other words "suicideless kamikazes" which helps the player to navigate their way out of a sticky situation. its mechanics should go something like this:
- while holding a bomb rogue weapon you would get unique dashes in any direction that throw the bomb in the opposite direction (i first thought of the need to position yourself above enemies so bombs cant drop on them but i don't think it is a good idea anymore)
- you would get the option of stealth strikes either launching you to the enemy to explode with it like the "Forgotten Apex Wand" sharks
- one more idea would be calculated explosions like setting them up (i think there is something like this already)
-my first reason behind this change is stated above but also i think rewarding the player for good movement to deal damage is a good idea. another reason maybe that the bomb subclass is very similar in design at all stages of the game; even the stealth attack which just bloat the explosion

I was thinking maybe rage could be somewhat inspired by Delta rune where u get rage points when ur close to a projectile rather than actually getting hit by the projectile
that would be pretty janky and gimmicky overall, i think it would be better to have a consistent mechanic based on numbers

so how about reworking the adrenaline dr mechanic into rage?
they both fill up passively but activating rage gives you dr while activating adrenaline gives you damage

how about working adrenaline and rage into 1 bar that fills the way adrenaline does
if you activate the adrenaline part you get dr and some healing, if you activate rage you get the current damage boost
and you get none of the benefits if you get hit with full meter, currently the hit that knocks your adrenaline out does less damage which i think is silly
and uhh, with this sugg I mainly wanted to encourage them to do something grand with Rage, while I also understood that I gotta actually propose smth, which I tried to do at the end
i like this idea of making "rage" into a defensive mechanic, possibly with another name
cuz, as I said, they seem to want to keep rage roughly in the current state of being a reward for taking damage, which is a dead end

You can replace the removal thing with another thing: a bit balls-deep observation on why rage sucks. Currently it has 10000 as its bar, and Rage is a double of your damage taken (triple with Profaned Rage pots), so you need to take 5000 damage, regardless of progression, in order to have a full Rage with only taking dmg

The problem is that you have to adapt it to the defense of melee, meanwhile summoner has like literally nothing
but with more defence you take less damage
for optimal rage building, health regen is the way to go
it’s still able to actually take the hits that are dealt out

the only time I've ever liked rage is using gaels greatsword

the melee-rogue hybrids are literally just the same weapon with a different damage type (and a lot of them are boomerangs, further worsening an already-awful identity crisis boomerangs had)
and Aether's Whisper ranged is just Aether's Whisper magic but with no mana, no ammo consumed, and no suitable modifiers
there's no difference to it

There was not a lot of feathers at any time and they move in a very predictable way. The only time the feathers were bullshit was his Arma death, where he had 1/4 of a second to react to a feather that spawned right in front of him
Fixing that would be a different suggestion than the one he made)
