I was thinking the same thing when using Auger.
The line of sight detection seems too sensitive, like if there's a single block between you and the enemy then the hit won't register, even if parts of the blade's visual clearly collide with the enemy's sprite through unobstructed air
If the devs don't want it to hit through tiles for balance reasons, then uhh
Well, I dunno if it's possible for them to implement a more forgiving hit detection algorithm
(like casting multiple rays, or doing a really tiny A-Star pathfind, to determine if there's an unobstructed path connecting the weapon's visual to enemies it intersects with / between the player and the enemies)
but if they can, that'd be appreciated

It can hit things that don't tile collide through tiles
And it can't hit things that do tile collide through tiles

I gave suggestions that seemed to make sense it doesn't have to be exactly those. I suppose I can remove that part though. Also, vanilla NPCs all have interactions with multiple biomes, at the very least for hating the evil biomes
Also, vanilla NPCs can like and dislike multiple other NPCs so I see no reason they couldn't do that for biomes
They don't hate the evil biomes, they literally cannot live in them
They have comments for being near evil biomes while not close enough to be uninhabitable, and it decreases their happiness
It seems more like a specific exception is made for the evil biomes (and dungeon), rather than it being a part of the like/love-dislike/hate system
Even so, the calamity biomes are awkward with NPCs the way they are. I would very much like it if NPCs had reactions to them

In my eyes adding Soot to it doesn’t improve anything and is just an extra material for extra materials’ sake (it’s debatably even Astral Infection-related at all)

Meld Blobs drop from the pillars and are meant for rogue
For some reason you have to add Starblight Soot to them to make Meld Constructs for the actual gear

Why is the respawn timer for bosses in multiplayer changed to only 15 seconds? It's so easy to pace your deaths so that your teammate dies just after you respawn, letting you tank damage without a care. Even if it isn't possible to get a dodge-less kill with two players, it's still much easier to survive. 5-15 seconds makes sense in singleplayer, but in multiplayer it's just too short imo and takes out the satisfaction and skill out of killing a boss with your friend

Rogue and summoner are infamous for this. It doesn’t really stop people from complaining about not having whips/buff station
The buff station is at least easy to add without needing a ton of work
i like where this suggestion is at but non-rogue weapons should still deplete stealth

I can't emphasise enough how good it feels to use Gem-Tech and Astral at their given places in progression.
And while the rest of the time is fun, thanks to being able to use the weapons you want to-
It's tricky. You're wearing armour which is either behind in it's defence (Astral, Shadow/Crimson, Mollusk, Crystal Assassin) or is built to be a glass cannon (Omega Blue), when you're not building for damage.
So it lands in this strange sorta middle ground where you're having a great time, you just don't feel like you achieve much.
And then you hit Gem-Tech and it was all worth it!
